After a few weeks of experimentation, and learning what I do and don't like. I think my beer of choice is Red Stripe Jamaican Lager. I really like the Sam Adams White Lantern, but no other Sam Adams brews have been as good. And the ones that I think I'd like (White Ale, Porch Rocker, Coastal Wheat) don't seem to be available in my neck of the woods. A co-worker of mine, who is into brewing advised me to check out Hoegaarden, but I can't find it for the life of me.

Two missing, and I doubt it. The reception was in one part of the hotel, and the bar was adjacent, and was also serving regular patrons that were watching football.

The wife and I had a great time at my cousin's wedding, and she even smuggled me out a couple of Sam Adams pint glasses. With what the reception must have cost my uncle, the place could afford to give me a couple of glasses!

30 and 9/12

Fuck you to whichever person at my job had the idea to reward bad behavior. Background: I work in a call center, and the new guy fucked up huge a couple of weeks back, and the powers that be decided that he will only take calls from certain queues. Which means that when we're slammed and up to our ears with shit to do, he can twiddle his thumbs and stare at the idiot box all night.

Are word filters still in place?

Dude, I feel your pain, I've had that issue personally, I'm a shy person, don't need meds or anything like that, thankfully my parents understood that. But I never understood, why can't we be shy? Why do we have to be social and not quiet? Pisses me off when people say stuff like that. And good on you for not listening to her. She sounds like a good normal kid. The most abnormal thing about her is that she'd rather read a book instead of stare at the idiot box and watch a cartoon. I don't think that's a bad thing in the least.

A hearty 'FUCK YOU' to my mother-in-law for telling the wife and I that our three year old daughter must have some sort learning disability or developmental disorder because she doesn't really talk a lot when she's not around us. She's three years old and reading close to 100 words, thanks to your baby can read, and has a memory like a steel trap (we were looking at toys and when I pointed to Goofy and said 'who's that' she guessed Dutch Mantell, because I was watching his shoot interview the day before). Apparently, the idea that the girl is just shy never dawned on her.

If Omori goes over Jun, then I'd bet that Suwama's next defense is Omori. Any word on how long until Soya is due back?

I finished off my six pack tonight with Sam Adams White Lantern, and I ejoyed it. I found that it had a slight bitterness, but nothing long lasting.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've been doing the make your own six pack deal, that's how I came to discover that I don't like the really hoppy stuff. We'll be at the grocery store on Saturday again, so I'll take a gander at some of the stuff you guys suggested.

I've been trying to expand my drinking horizons, and have discovered that I don't like overly bitter (ie extremely hoppy) beers. The types I've discovered that I like the most are Shock Top and Redd's Apple Ale. I dunno if Redd's is considered beer or not, but it wasn't overly sweet like Smirnoff nor tart like Hard Cider. Can anyone advise any good, non bitter, brands/styles of beers.
