  1. I think with me having it at #4, it's going to be one of those things where if I look back at the list a few years from now, I'll think "Wow, I put that way too high." And then I'll watch the movie again some other time and be like "Oh never mind, #4 was the right spot for it."
  2. You know, the first time I saw the commercial, it was in a bar with no sound on the tv, and it looked like it could be a pretty good movie. Then when I saw it again later somewhere else with the sound on... ugh. And I think that's right in line with what you guys are saying.
  3. Aronofsky has a pretty good track record for making movies that get critical acclaim.
  4. I remember the top three matches being seen as a kind of old guard vs. new guard theme at the time. Also remember seeing it live at a movie theater and a little kid in front of me absolutely losing his mind (in a good way) over the main event finish.
  5. I enjoyed how they were apparently trying to have the rich guy put on the most abrasive music possible at his place, and managed to put together a brostep song with a drop that lasted for like ten minutes straight. Also neat to see the leads of The Innkeepers reunited under very different circumstances.
  6. Rippa, the board is posting threads backwards.
  7. I was the other vote for The Past. It's like someone watched The Descendants and said "That was okay, but we could switch some things around and make it way more interesting."
  8. I had no idea what was meant by Glassholes. I was like "Philip Glass fans?"
  9. Computer screens all across the country are dotted with spittle as wrestling fans splutter with outrage
  10. Oh my goodness that Filth movie looks amazing. My ballot had 22 movies... I'd say I'd expect 13 of them to show up on the countdown. We'll see!
  11. If you can have co-winners of a Royal Rumble, you can have co-winners of March Madness.
  12. I was down there last summer (business trip - not my choice to go that far south in the summer) and thought Redfish had really great food, though it might be just a touch fancier than what you're looking for. They had this drink that had peach jam in it and was served in a jam jar... and I closed out the meal with bread pudding. Food coma.
  13. Seriously, send me a PM on it once you watch it and get some thoughts together, or do a board post or whatever. I will reply with a massive wall of text.
  14. Watched Enemy for the second time last night. I was looking to confirm some theories I had from the first time I watched it - instead, I noticed a whole bunch of stuff that I'd missed, and now I've kind of got a new take on it, but haven't totally figured it out. There are Lynch movies like Lost Highway and Inland Empire where I know I'm never going to understand it and don't even bother to try figuring it out. There are Nolan movies like Memento and Following where I can watch it a couple of times and feel like I've got it 100%. Enemy is right in between. I've almost got it, but not quite, and I feel like there is something to "get" but I don't know if I ever totally will. More people need to see this.
  15. Don't be a Cock. Not even. Here is a Cesaro shoulderbutt: Here is an uppercut: You'll notice the first one looks like a flashy way of disguising a soft move. The latter is fucking disgusting. An uppercut involves hitting a guy with your fist. Cesaro is supposed to be doing a European uppercut, which involves hitting a guy with your forearm, since hitting with a closed fist is illegal in wrestling. I assume everyone already knew that and are not bothering to explain it for some feed-the-troll type reason
  16. Ahahahaha. I love that you essentially wrote "I know this isn't what it means, but it means that actually." Well if it gets someone to think to themselves "Hey, you know what, I actually would've voted Reigns over absolutely anyone who isn't Bryan or Cesaro! I am a complete yogurt!" then that post did its job IMO.
  17. So, Enemy opens in theatres today, but I think it's only in the Toronto and NYC areas. I have some Very Important Points to make about that movie, but it needs to be exposed to a wider audience before I start blabbing about it. Maybe I'll go drag a friend to see it this weekend and then talk their ear off afterwards.
  18. You missed my point: it's not that his moveset is stale, it's that he's typically not connected to it. The match with Cesaro, where he was very much wrestling with some intention and character motivation really puts a spotlight on the rest of his matches both in the voting period, and in the past couple of years. So he has a great match, and it's a point against him because of all those other matches he had that weren't as great. Interesting
  19. Yeti convinced me. This is my first actual vote in the tournament.
  20. Maybe I'm just groggy from moving the clocks forward, but if you think of Pitbull as a modern day Max Headroom, it makes him so much more appealing.
  21. Sergey Tolchinsky of the Soo Greyhounds:
  22. Just wondering, what's he done lately that was good? I've seen Styles matches with Hero and Gulak this year and neither one especially impressed me.
  23. Oh shoot, it's a remake of that Thai movie "13: Game of Death". I'm at work so I'm not gonna watch the trailer, but the original had some great moments and I loved the ending so much.
  24. SHOOT NAMEZ! Worse than that guy who had high school chem class with Roman Reigns! Happy birthday Natural btw
