  1. ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: Masturbated in Trashcan. That joke will never get old.
  2. My partner is in danger of submitting! Better do a 450!
  3. That way lies Sports Entertainment Xtreme.
  4. Just don't ask for my opinion on Ken Anderson.
  5. I'll happily give it a shot when there's something there. I actually want this to succeed because more competition and more wrestling is a good thing. But so far it's just a website that sells merchandise, and some videos of JJ walking the Earth, which puts it roughly on par with Jeff Katz's promotion.
  6. Drew McIntyre never was, and never will be, WWE World Heavyweight Champion material. He came in with a gimmick that is pretty much a kiss of death to begin with as "The Chosen One". Has that ever worked? Jeff Jarrett got to keep at it by WCW's sheer bloody mindedness, but any time someone is pushed from the get-go as a "blue chipper" of that sort, they either fail (Benjamin, McIntyre) or have a hell of an uphill battle (Rocky Maivia becoming the Rock.) His theme music was a great song that was a terrible choice for entrance music. It was so slow and drawn out that you could take a piss break when it started and get back before the match. Okay, I exaggerate, but McIntyre wasn't exactly the Undertaker or Hollywood Rock. He didn't have enough for people to care about for them to put up with his saunter to the ring. And he never brought anything to the table that made him stand out other than his accent and a finisher that made him look like he was about to be penetrated missionary style. The fact that some people think he still has potential to be a main eventer boggles me. There are people in TNA more likely to become WWE champion.
  7. If nothing else, I hope we get them billed on-screen as "La Bruja Karen" and "Wealthy American Businessman Jeff Jarrett."
  8. Obviously, the Wyatt/Cena match should be a Bible Camp Match, a la Slaughter's Boot Camp Match.
  9. Where are they going to deport Heyman too? Israel?
  10. Everyone slamming Punk for "moping about his celebrity" needs to go back and read the original, which wasn't written by Punk. You can't slam him for maintaining radio silence and then claim he's complaining about his celebrity. AFAIK, he hasn't said word one about it since he left.
  11. I wish I could give you a thousand likes.
  12. I hope she put that bikini in the right hamper after.
  13. I always assumed that it was a wrestling physics thing. In wrestling physics, a flip makes a move hurt more, like a 450 splash being more powerful than a regular splash, all other things being equal. Barrett makes his elbow pad do a flip, thus adding to the impact of the elbow. A bit indy-riffic if you ask me, but it pops the crowd. Don't forget "being outside the ring" and "sit-out" as two other things that make moves hurt more. The 450 I can understand (a little) because it adds extra momentum... SSP not so much, but it's a cool visual so who cares?
  14. I'm hoping this will lead to Heidenreich as a new member of the Wyatt Family.
  15. But you need, like, five of them to satisfy you.
  16. I had a dream the other night that I had to fight Brock Lesnar using sticky bombs, GTA-style. I still fucking ran away.
  17. You have no idea how much of an internal struggle I went through about using "fighting spirit" and "social dance" in that post. Even with the scare quotes, it felt... dirty.
  18. Here's the thing: There is no struggle. If Davey tried to hit a second superplex, Eddie fought him, and the reversed it... I could give that a pass. But there's no fighting in this 'fighting spirit' spot. There's just "Superplex, get up, other guy hits a suplex." That, to me, is the problem, more than the sequence of moves itself. You can do "fighting spirit" spots, or "social dance" sequences... but when you combine the two, that's when things really fall apart.
  19. I was just skimming the recent posts, and thought someone suggested getting Scott Keith to book... Anyway, is it just me, or is it shady of them to announce "We have a great new wrestling promotion! We'll sign some wrestlers soon!" Shouldn't they have at least a couple of names under contract to announce at the same time? So far, it's a company that consists of a website that sells merch promoting itself... and that's it.
