  1. Like Jericho to a degree but share many of the same gripes that others have about him. The only thing left to says is: CERO MIEDO!!!!!
  2. I like Rush a lot, but am kind of leaning towards Sydal. I don't know if it's due to his trip to Peru (which is a fucking wild story he told on AOW and MVP's show) but he's been consistently awesome. I would like to think he wins this, but we're talking Rush here and I'm sure he's going through. But I like Sydal too damn much so I'm voting for him. And on top of that I still fondly remember him chatting with me at the after party and even buying me a couple drinks. Just a super nice guy that I wish nothing but good things for.
  3. Never saw Hehicero until today, but absolutely love him. Was going to vote for him, but Oyaji does make a valid point about him playing to the crowd too much. Can I overlook that? Considering everything else, maybe. But I have yet to see Roddy's good stuff aside from ROH TV and some PPVs. I'll have to see what he brings, particularly his heel work. Hmm...could be a tougher decision than I imagined. Thankfully this goes two days.
  4. I was gobsmacked when I saw the kicking sequence similar to what Naomi does in her matches. The fact that she likely got that from him astounds me. That said, I just couldn't get into what Ishikawa was doing despite seeing a couple matches. Bailey at least brings a ton to the table. If he could make those count he'd be a lot better off. But I heartily enjoyed him so this was an easy vote for me. The match against Alex North was awesome. That picture of the swordffight highly amuses me though.
  5. I was highly amused by Hama. He's definitely a Japanese Rikishi and he's got the big man stuff down pat. Also another match of his on Rutube (want to pull a Summer Rae and call it RuRuTube) Good stuff. But Naito is just better all-around. Not a slight on Hama, but Naito's going through for me.
  6. I just want to put this in here because it made me laugh and laugh and laugh, even after repeated viewings: Thank you, Segunda Caida.
  7. I watched about 5-6 minutes of Sunny's porn last night. Please tell me you got some hard liquor to get through that. I can only imagine how much I'd need to see the whole thing. Also really glad the Freebirds are finally going in, about damn time.
  8. I'm going to have a busy night when I get home from work. I've been guilty of voting for somebody because I know of them, not giving the other guy a shot. But really hoping to honestly do that time permitting. it sure will be easier in the later rounds, but for now holy smokes this is going to be quite the busy month. Oh, and I admit to having some gray hair on the sides of my head. I'm curious to see how much more I get after the later rounds.
  9. As much as I like Aerostar, I feel there's better wrestlers from LU to support in this tournament. Big Damo is just a beast of a man, liking his style. And it helps Rippa put up him against Mastiff, can't go wrong with two big men beating each other up for our amusement.
  10. I'm glad to see Akiyama still tearing it up. I'll admit this could be WWE bias, but Cesaro's been one of my absolute favorites to watch. The matches with Cena were straight fire, and you could tell how much Cena liked him by how much Cesaro was allowed to do. They were easily MOTYC and a straight up blast to watch.
  11. Taking that into account, with NXT matches how much could Gargano do anyway? It was meant as a main event squash match and I don't think that was a fair representation of what he can do. I guess that's why I'm going to seek out a lot of his non-NXT stuff before making up my mind. Now in NXT he did have that wild match with him and Ciampa against American Alpha.
  12. There is always one At least I accidentally voted for one I still liked, so I'm cool with either. Now if I accidentally voted against Bayley, well shit I really done fucked up.
  13. I only have the weekly CMLL Azteca shows to go by, but I am always loving Maximo's matches. He's got a helluva gimmick and the crowd loves him. Suzuki is somebody I wouldn't want to fuck with and I like him a lot, but Maximo gets my vote. And the notable thing aside from the match itself in the hair vs. hair is the one female fan who was flipping out over everything. I don't know who she is but bless her for losing her mind.
  14. Yeah, that's killing me to know that it's 2016 and there's not one bit of footage from the AA/Revial matches. But just watch, they'll have their Takeover match and it'll be sensational. Then come next year people will be going "Holy shit, I love those guys! Yes, here's my vote!" Sadly it's not there this year, but the future looks great for both of them.
  15. I'll need to watch some of Yuji, but I'm finding myself to be leaning heavily towards the NXT people. AA are no exception. They really have that chemistry together where they're very much a team and best friends on top of that. Gable is wonderful with using his amateur moves in the match and he has this incredible flow to him. Plus while he's not super charismatic he still has enough to make you want to watch more. Jordan has made for a great straight man in that he initially didn't want anything to do with the team or the phrase. The evolution over time is organic and great in that he might not be totally sold on the phrase, but loves the team. And his comeback is a joy as well, I can watch him suplex fools all day. Oh, and bonus points for doing the hot tag with Cass, that was tons of fun. The only thing I can see against them right now is the formula is too predictable, somebody mentioned in the NXT thread that changing it up would be good and I agree. But aside from that damn I love watching them.
  16. I'm leaning towards Breeze but haven't voted yet. I was super hyped to see Gargano in NXT, but something got lost in translation. He seems too robotic in that he has a sequence and it has to be "I do this, then do this, then do this" and it didn't have a real flow to it. I saw a couple Evolve matches but not as a heel. I'll need to watch the videos above to see if it changes my mind.
  17. I'm sure Ibushi's going to run away with this because he's fucking awesome. But Revival are sooooo damn good. The way they work on a part is wonderful to watch, especially in big matches. Also, I'm hoping Ibushi doesn't fall on his face with his freelance work. It could in theory lead to him to him doing the cruserweight series, but it is strange that he just leaves two companies all of a sudden.
  18. Gah, I accidentally voted for Corbin. And yet I'm not entirely mad about that. Kenny's going to easily win this, but Corbin has improved quite a bit.
  19. The only case I can make against Sami is that he wasn't around nearly as much as Dolph was considering the injury. That said, he's had a great comeback so far and the recent match with Joe should pretty much seal his victory. I want to like Dolph, he's seemed to at least give a shit. But no way would I pick him. That, and yes I'm definitely getting the easy matchup out of the way.
  20. I was thinking that and that would very much bring the heavy. But as weird as this sounds would they consider killing a pregnant woman? People get offended by many things anymore so you never know how they'd react to this. But it would be something to consider. I think considering how many love Glenn killing him would be effective.
  21. Abraham damn near stole the show. Aside from that Bisquick line (which was hilarious) he also had quite the dilemma. I never got much of an impression that she'd be up for going with him. I have a feeling if he does what he's going to to do he might get friendzoned. If that's the case then he'll be surely up shit creek. As much as I liked the relatively low-key episode last week it sure is nice to see shit starting to get crazy. Them being naive about The Saviors is going to spell doom for sure. And for all the rumors about Daryl, I'm sensing at least another main character will go too. Glenn seems like the obvious answer, but I feel there's somebody else instead that will go and it'll have much more impact.
  22. No way that happens, despite them using Liger before. I'd be shocked if Omega even got on UpUpDownDown. I thought Omega had already been on UpUpDownDown? That wasn't UpUpDownDown proper, but Twitter videos on Xavier's account. So in regards to the Youtube channel it didn't happen. EDIT: Here's the most recent one they did. https://twitter.com/XavierWoodsPhD/status/699667663815987200
  23. From the little I've seen of Hechicero, I would vote him over Strong. But a lot of the voting is going for those people know about going in. So I'd prepare yourself to be soured. Or you can go all New Day and go "Don't you DARE be SOWAAAAA!!!!" Maybe even clap while the matchup's going on.
  24. That's one of those matches I just will not watch again. I saw that as a kid and it was one of the most epic matches ever. Warrior and Hogan were my absolute favorites, and seeing that match it was just outstanding. That was of course the early 90s, so now that it's 2016 and I know what I know the awesomeness of that match will surely be gone. Or as the cool kids say "Leave the memories alone!" Now if you want to talk about a match that exceeded expectations, Hogan/Savage from WM5 blew me away. I was so used to the Hogan match formula, and while it was still there there was much more to it than that. Never saw him attempt anything like the opening stretch and it was great (this was before seeing his Japan matches) It might not have been one of the all-time greatest, but it was a damn near revelation considering Hogan.
  25. I absolutely loved the videos and am excited for this tournament. But you chose Dolph over these folks? I don't even care for Nikki but I could have at least justified her being in this. That said I'm debating on the pick 'em link. It's bad enough I'm going to have to choose between two of my favorites in any of these matchups. Which means I'll likely do this anyway and rank near the bottom. Four days until armageddon, this is going to be fun.
