  1. The conversation started off wonderfully. The talk about grilling, beer, whisky, country and metal music and hunting was all kinds of manly. If they did a truncated interview that focused on non-wrestling stuff I would have been highly entertained. As soon as they started talking his career that's when it looked like he started to lose interest. The guy is just not comfortable talking for a length of time, there's a good reason Paul talks for him. That said I certainly enjoyed it. If they were going to do the WM match something would have happened, but when the show ended so did the chances of that happening. With Steve's neck it's for the best.
  2. Weren't they thinking to re-package Los Matadores? Carlito comes back, they take off the masks and help him beat Cena. Can't say I'm a Carlito fan, but I wouldn't be mad at that.
  3. Mia Yim's TNA run is odd. From what I heard she does great in places like Shine and is a good wrestler. But the matches haven't been as good as I hoped, even against people like Gail Kim. It is possible it's because it's TNA, but I was expecting more. That said, I still think she'd be a good fit for LU because it's hard to take stock in much of anything associated with TNA.
  4. It's super cheap on Steam? Unless it just went on sale I saw it was still at $50. I think Michael Sweetser has this on PC, he might be able to help you out. But best bet might be to get a controller and use that for the PC. I personally can't imagine using the keyboard/mouse for something like this.
  5. All this talk about why Raw won't change is getting a tad depressing and quite a bit maddening. I wish it was simply just getting rid of Vince but that's no the case. And it'd be pretty extreme to wish a bunch of people would step aside (Dunn, people from USA and NBC Universal, etc.) But that is all-the-more reason for me to treat NXT as its own brand and not developmental.
  6. Also, is Rusev still supposed to be the good guy in all this? The way Summer berated him you'd think they're trying to build sympathy for him. But in the story he was with both at the same time. So he'll either be seen as a Bulgarian playa or a two-timing pieced of shit. With all that's been done it would be nonsensical to end this cold, so it'll be interesting to see how he's portrayed. Also, why would Lana be engaged for a month knowing he's with Summer? If they reveal he was playing Summer all along that would make Summer sympathetic and not him. And I guess Dolph's just not part of this anymore which is weird in itself. And despite all that I feel I'm putting more thought into this than they are.
  7. I know I'm late to this, but got back from vacation a couple days ago. Saw this Smackdown and it was an okay show. New Day continue to be awesome, but I've been noticing they're really pushing the boundaries of PG lately. There's Big E's hip swivel, and then there's Kofi and Xavier with the trombone ringside. At one point they're side by side while he's doing a song, and the last notes send the trombone pointing up. In that there's a side shot of the two and it looks like something happened with Kofi. I wouldn't really bother mentioning this, but it sure seems odd to do this in a PG environment.
  8. Both Kill Bill movies I've seen a billion times, yet on El Rey it feels so, so right. And fuck yeah for Bruce Lee marathon.
  9. It's all one big conspiracy. I bet whoever doesn't want to feature Sasha on the main shows is the one that's behind this. #IblameKevinDunn
  10. As long as the WCW characters don't look like shit I might finally get around to making one helluva WCW universe. There'll be less filling in the blanks this time around. Speaking of Universe mode, I didn't hear much of anything. I'm hoping they fix the rivalry system and also have it so you don't have top stars on shows like Superstars. Always was strange seeing HHH vs. Brock on there for no good reason.
  11. Congrats, Pete! Best wishes and welcome to the married life. Going to Disney tomorrow with the wife and family. There's fun for the nephews, but for us it's all about Epcot and the around the world feature. Cool displays, sure. Beers "around the world"? Hell, yeah. Finding killer Japanese stuff you'd have to look for online? Oh, hell yeah! This is going to be a really fun time, and thankfully the weather will play nice this time.
  12. Somehow missed the line about the beer. Sounds like something that was put in there by a guy who love Bud Light. But the other lines were eye-openers for sure. Fozzy trying to talk while using GPS was hilarious because my dad had a similar issue not that long ago.
  13. What continuously blows my mind is just how emotionally invested we are in Bayley and Sasha. It's more common now for us to admit that we reach various levels of getting the misty eyes in certain moments. Man or woman I can't think of the last time this has happened. Sami winning the belt I guess was the last one. But just seeing the journey they've both been on from unknowns who wrote essays to them them living out who and what they wanted to be. Like Dragon said, they transcend wrestling in that they're wonderful people who are achieving their dreams and we're in a cool spot where we can see that happen. Wonderful show top to bottom. Alstein, I don't think the opener got slept on, that was a tremendous old school style match. Dash and Dawson are a wonderful team and I can't wait to see more of them. Was fine with Finn/Joe winning it all even though I really wanted Gable and Jordan to be in the final (their match was pretty great also) Asuka was tremendous in her debut, instant fan of her. And considering how good she looks it's going to be pretty easy to make her an instant star. I get why people aren't on board with Crews. While this match helped I would still like to see more intensity from him aside from just doing moves. He needs to be in a grudge match badly. I don't know what else can be said about Bayley/Sasha, but hot damn was that an epic match. The callbacks to the previous matches worked so well and I was fully invested in this match. What really pushed it over the top was Sasha heeling on Izzy. I don't know if she's a child actress or the parents were in on it to a degree. But all it took was seeing Izzy crying her eyes out and we were both going "C'mon, Bayley, do it for Izzy!" Damn, it's crazy just thinking about it. Loved how Bayley won for reasons stated by Greggulator among others, and damn if that post-match didn't get to me. The whole roster coming out with flowers and Sasha just collapsing was a heavy, heavy moment. Oh, and bonus points for having Lita there, you know that meant the world to them. I see why some found that a tad patronizing (news flash: women have been awesome at things for a long time) but it was still a beautiful moment. I love NXT with all my heart. More often than not the Takeover shows and hype hit the right notes and I'll always be hardcore into this. What a wonderfully crazy time to be a wrestling fan.
  14. Technico, that's what I heard as well. If we were to find out for sure it's not going to be anytime soon, if ever. Booker's on commentary so he wouldn't want to talk shit about it. And if there was anything for HHH or whoever to admit it's definitely not going to happen now.
  15. I knew this was going to be a good one when Dean wondered what the point of asparagus is, only to be reminded he was the one that ordered it. Funny stories in this episode.
  16. I like that idea. You can call them the Swiss Supermodel. *insert Yano gif*
  17. Not much to this episode, other than Kermit admitting to licking a toad (his cousin) But I feel a need to say that IT puppet needs to go. And while they're at it shred the puppet into little pieces and destroy any concept art. I hate IT stereotypes like that.
  18. I noticed they had American Gladiators and was super excited thinking it was the 80s/90s version. Instead it was the newer one with Hogan and Layla Ali as hosts and I was incredibly disappointed. They also had on Pros vs. Joes. Can't help but wonder why they're on this network. If they needed to fill time just put Miami Vice on there. I'm hoping it was a one-off deal.
  19. Soooooo......a TNA star people give a kinda sorta shit about wins the title, only for some wacky internet thing to occur and he has to vacate it two days later? And the supposed new winner is a guy that's hardly if ever used? As noted many times in Botchamania, JEEEEEEZUUSSSS!!!!!! What in the fuck are they smoking coming up with this shit? Thank goodness for Takeover being two hours, I'm so glad I'll be missing this (not bothering with second hour either)
  20. I was going to say "Nah, got too many shirts." Then I see the selection and think that maybe I'm allergic to money. Too many good shirts to chose from.
  21. So they spend the season trying to get Barry's dad out of jail, he finally is able to and the dad just leaves anyway? No scenes of him hanging around seeing how things are? They couldn't wait another episode or two before that? Very, very strange. In reality Barry should have been really pissed off about that, but instead is cool with it. That said, didn't expect Atom Smasher in the season opener, so was happy to see Edge do this.
  22. I loved the use of Barry Miller. I have a helluva time remembering his name for some reason (had to look it up), but always like when he's in a show. Enjoyed the episode, loved the reunion at the end. It's one of those things where you always felt Fitz and Simmons would be together and at this point all is well. At first I thought they'd tease him getting Simmons only for her to slip away as they pull him back in. I could have gone for more of the portal and them trying a different way to get her. It worked out in the end but they could have gotten more use out of that. But if the portal's done with then hopefully the reformation of Hydra is as awesome as I hope to make up for it.
  23. I heard Cornette's episode one time when Meltzer was on about the TNA/DA situation. Radley was pretty much a parrot to whatever Jim was saying, but I was able to tune her out. Is it her lack of knowledge on wrestling stuff or something else. Maybe it's because I listen to her in small doses I can put up with it more.
  24. Trivia works for me. I'm down with whatever kills time until we find out more about the second season.
  25. I don't care if it's true or not, the story about Ryback trying to impress Brock slayed me. Table for 3 was hilarious. And Bryan can't help but be goofy with the Kumbaya hand holding bit, bless him.
