  1. It was neat seeing Aries with a sense of frustration on his face. Between what happened there and Alexa leaving Blake/Murphy I can see them pairing up. Seeds were planted last week where Aries wanted Alexa and she kind of gave a half smile to him. I can see them being effective in their feud with Nakamura. I was happy to see Peyton but she should be one of the last people I'd have her lose to Carmella. More Peyton, please. That was a tremendous Asuka video. I like the song and it worked really well to present Asuka as this frenetic ass-kicking machine. Nia/Bayley was very well-done and effective, but I thought to drive the injury home they should have shown Nia do more damage to the leg/arm post-match. That and a stretcher deal would have been a neat way to drive forward the "Fall of Bayley" story they have before she makes an epic comeback.
  2. That'd be a not-too-shabby use of a tax return. Who'd be creative enough to do an ad for this, let's make it happen.
  3. I'm trying to figure out after why Barry would agree to a race against Zoom like it's some kind of Olympic meet. The guy killed his dad, why not just have Barry rage and chase Zoom? Wouldn't that establish who's faster? And I'm not a fan of killing off the dad, especially conveniently after they're all "Hey, there's temporary peace, let's celebrate him!" Despite that griping I did like the episode and am hoping for a pretty great season finale.
  4. Ah, man, I don't know how I'm going to handle the epicness of Joe/Nak in a sold out Barclays Center. I will have to do my damndest to get tickets for that. Damn this wishful thinking, I'll be sad if we don't get something like that.
  5. I'm already picturing it now and just that alone has me super hyped for his WM debut. Make it happen, WWE!
  6. Now I'm picturing one of those Whammy monsters blowing up the screen as the last image on the last Impact shows. That'd be an awesome way to go out.
  7. I met Art at a Christmas party but sadly it was before knowing about his commentary gig for KOTR. If only I saw that beforehand I could have brought that up.
  8. Halfway through Impact, but I've been checking them out lately. I like a lot of the roster and there are definitely angles I like (EC3/Bennett, Galloway/Lashley, etc.) The Hardy stuff last night started out fine but Matt talking like Willow was too much for me. I just hate everything about that. And Earl Hebner in a match was completely ridiculous, especially the "selling" for Mike's stuff. Hoping that's the last we see of him. But so far not a bad show, interested in the main event. It's also hard watching Impact when things are good. I don't hate the people there at all, yet I feel bad that they work in a shithole like TNA. They all deserve better than to work for Dixie. Ideally I'd ship the good ones off to a completely different company and close TNA forever.
  9. I had a feeling it was going to be one of two characters, and as much as they tried to bring the heavy I just couldn't get into it. I liked the guy, but can't necessarily say I'm sad it was him. Fun episode though. I'm a bit confused at the end though:
  10. I loved the hell out of Regal/Cesaro. Regal's promo in particular was off the charts and I loved the story they told. Random thought, but when Nakamura finally makes his Wrestlemania entrance, I will accept nobody else to play him out than this woman:
  11. Thinking back to all the times he asks "How much does this guy weigh?!" is never not funny to me. If I was inclined I'd do a drinking game for how many times he said that. But I'd be afraid of getting alcohol poisoning so maybe that wouldn't be the wisest idea.
  12. I'm hoping they have the fans do the arm motion that's in Moose's entrance. That'd be pretty wild seeing that.
  13. Those are great arguments for why Dallas is better than Brooklyn. I guess for me it was the combination of Bayley/Sasha in a sold out main roster-size arena that sticks with me. I'm not saying it was a one-match show, but in my mind it is. Dallas might be the objectively better show, but Brooklyn is by far my favorite.
  14. Definitely Brooklyn for me. Aside from the points Rippa made, that was the night where I really felt like a fan who hasn't been jaded by all the insider stuff over the years. It made me think back to how I'd get into wrestling when I was a kid and it was a wonderful feeling. I wouldn't be mad at those who thought Nak/Zan was better than Bayley/Sasha. But the women's match was something special that I'll remember for many years. Heck, if I can get out of work I'm going to meet Sasha Monday morning at this store just to tell her that (she's doing a meet a green with Natalya).
  15. That's pretty amusing. But it's weird how Stephanie is so damn attractive yet when she does that face it's horrifying. A big smile can be pretty unsettling at times too.
  16. Fair enough. But look at the Last Man Standing (or was it ladder) match between Fenix and Cuerno. They spent so much time setting up ladders and such that it really hurt the flow of the match. Definitely was more apparent in that than Grave Consequences. if somebody had an edited version of that match I'd enjoy it a ton more.
  17. If you needed any further proof that NXT is booked like an 80s territory here you go. And that's freaking awesome.
  18. I love Matanza and am quite happy with how he's doing. If all I saw of him were from the tapings only I'd be annoyed at him beating the top guys. I can see why the live crowd would hate him for that. But with the benefit of the video packages he's fantastic. That said, going back to matches like Grave Consequences they really need to find a way to edit out needless parts of the match. That and the LMS matches had lots of setting up weapons that hurt the flow when watching. I'm hoping in future matches like this they can trim it down to a believable degree.
  19. Watching the extras, the deleted scenes did have more from the fight scenes. They also had one where they went to Mexico as a last ditch effort for Wade's cancer. They were fun and all, but I think by taking them out the movie's a lot tighter and well-paced. I have no complaints with what made the final cut. Even talking about his origin didn't bother me as that didn't necessarily drag. The back and forth between origin and real time helped keep me from being bored. Since this did big numbers (and the origin out of the way) they can do more in sequel which should be really fun.
  20. That should have been the way they'd have done it. It got a little silly there the way they were fighting over who'd kill themselves to do this. When it finally went the one who ended up doing it I just thought "Really? Of all people?" He was definitely one of the more interesting characters by far so of course why not.
  21. The times I saw C&C in Baltimore yeah, they were very beloved. I was hoping they'd get a title run, even if it was a brief one. Cedric being done with ROH is a wasted opportunity as I really liked what he was doing. And I'm wondering what Veda's going to do now.
  22. Paige and ADR? That might be one of the most random pairings I've heard of in quite some time, wrestling or elsewhere. That's great and everything, but just so random.
  23. I really don't want to add traffic to anything TNAMecca (site, Twitter, etc.) But I imagine they're going into overdrive trying to spin this so it doesn't lead to a conclusion of "The end is near!"
  24. I can't figure that out. Last I heard it seemed like he had nothing but great things to say about the company. That, and HHH was a fan of his. So unless Naylor was lying which is not likely, something must have happened since that time.
