I finally caught up with A Simple Favor and followed it with Another Simple Favor. Really fun, twisty comedic mysteries with Blake Lively giving incredible performances.

Well, I think that might be less "we really need him for the SEC game" and more "it would be cruel to deny him the chance to return to the field he played on and his alma mater." After all, winning the Nebraska game is more important, really. Rumors are he's not going to be allowed to recruit on road game Friday nights and lose various other recruiting opportunities this year as well.

Jalen Green feels like the real question mark/pivot point.

Houston eliminated by Golden State again The Rocket Rebuild is complete~!
-
Meanwhile, Warriors offense has disappeared down the stretch, giving Houston a chance. Edit: Jimmy Butler basically just said "fuck that noise."

Literally my three least favorite teams in the NBA are still standing in the East. Go, uh... Knicks? I guess.

It definitely has moments. But, man, John Woo directing a Tom Cruise action movie should've been so much livelier and just better

The good news about having watched Mission: Impossible 2 and 3 is that the series has never gotten close to that bad again. The bad news is that you watched M:I 2 and 3. (Except PSH. Hoffman was incredible in 3.)

Yeah Cap probably was revived either late W or early Obama if you want to put it in a functional timeline.

I somehow never noticed this before now. I guess the two most famous people I've ever met are Bobby Heenan and Cody Rhodes. Bobby was hilarious, had the entire line waiting for the quick meet and greet in stitches every few minutes Cody was, even by the standards of a then indie wrestler who obviously wants to sell you T-shirts, incredibly nice. It wasn't a meet and greet, he was on his way either to his hotel room or maybe from his hotel room (show was at a casino/hotel) to leave and just stopped to talk to a few fans, take pictures, etc. Because it was in Michigan, a bunch of his in-laws were there and he was introducing them to everybody, took a picture for free with my friend Chad's son, etc

This also means three of the five longest tenured coaches in the league going into this season are now gone (Malone was fourth and Jenkins fifth.) Spo is now followed by Steve Kerr and third place is Thibs in New York.

Obviously hate the way it ended, but the one year turnaround, the first playoff wins in 17 years... Can't complain too much. Just wish they could've won one at home (weird series. Road teams went 5-1.)

Pistons just exploded and stormed back when it looked like they were about to be sent golfing. Tie game with about six to play.

My cousin owns a golf cart dealership which has always blown my mind that he gets enough business in a town of 900 people, but he's been doing it for close to twenty years now so he must.

Was it Spider-Man Blue where Sale drew characters using personal computers while wearing bell bottoms and other hippie fashion? I always thought that was a fun idea for the sliding timescale.

From what I've seen, the list from just this year includes Tyler Warren, Abdul Carter, Mason Graham, Kyle McCord, and Sanders. Although the other big difference is that three of them went in the top fifteen, two in the top five at the exact spot most people projected them to (although a different team for Graham) and McCord went more or less in the range he was expected to. Because of how much lower Sanders went than he expected, it feels a hell of a lot meaner than the others. Like, Carter got pranked, figured it out while still on the phone, and then got drafted the next pick anyway. Less harm done.

The weirdest thing about Doc to me is that I really think his best coaching jobs were in Orlando when he developed a young team, and that stretch in L.A. after Lob City but pre-Kawhi when he turned a bunch of young pieces into an attractive landing space for Leonard. When he has actually good, veteran teams with real title talent, it never works (except the one time in Boston when he had far and away the best team in the league and they still set a record for most games played in a single post-season) and he rarely gives young guys court time to develop. He's a paradox to me.

Sister Act is a fairly decent movie that I like. Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit is a significantly worse movie that I like significantly more.

I like Mallrats, but it's definitely a mess. A weird combination of studio notes to make it bigger followed by it being cut and using a few pickups to make it smaller, a kinda rushed production where it was mostly shot without coverage, and a strong push to make it a modern day Porky's all kind of clash. It's probably a failure, but a noble one imo.

AFAIK, her current origin is that her parents are Hippolyta and Zeus, and the clay thing was a cover story to hide that Zeus was screwing yet another mortal woman, from the Nu52. I don't think Rucka's version replaced that, but I'm not positive because it's been years since I read it.

I feel like Clark's (or Bruce, or Barry, or Hall, etc) origins tend to differ on the details but are basically the same overall idea. The All-Star Superman thing of boiling it down to eight words thing. While a lot of the Diana origins are different right down to anything less basic than "from Paradise Island, the land of the Amazon women."

But not that other Crash.
-
Fun fact: Maryland had more players (6) drafted than they did victories (4) this year.
-
There are so many Wonder Woman origin stories, it's hard to even guess which ones might be canon or semi-canon or completely erased.

Here's lies Heat Culture. May it rest in peace.
