  1. And either possibility seems totally plausible.
  2. Crusader Kings II and all its DLC/expansion packs are 75% off this week. I mention this because I actually bought it last week. For full price. What's more hilarious, is you can buy the game and all it's DLC in one big ol bundle. The current price for that bundle is, with the ongoing sale, literally the exact same price I paid for just the bare bones base game a week ago. I feel quite foolish.
  3. Was he the 9er that slapped a pregnant woman at a party with other players present mere days after Rice got off the ho-- was suspended for two games? He was the one that committed some domestic violence virtually immediately after Sheriff Goodell announced "Okay okay domestic violence will be a 6 game suspension for the first offense from now on [sTOP YELLING AT ME IT'S UPSETTING MY PAYMASTERS!]" after people complained loud enough about Rice only getting 2 games, yes. You can see me talking about him on page 1 of this very thread. More prominent 49er knucklehead Aldon "Charles Haley" Smith had already been suspended 9 games for repeated knuckleheadism so he was at least in the clear on this debacle.
  4. I'm sure it's just coincidence that it lines right up with the team being eliminated from playoff contention.
  5. If this game wasn't over when Gore got hurt, it is now that Hyde's hurt.
  6. It's god awful about the worst kind of fans. Now they cheer for Vikings/Eagles/Bengals/Cowboys/Steelers/Fuck off and die. "I cheer for Team A but the slightest personal appeal will cause me to change my loyalties to Team B C D and/or E. Not even bandwagon jumping or playing fantasy football, I'm just that suggestible."
  7. That's why Raider fans think the rule was implemented solely to punish them/Al Davis, more or less.
  8. Complete with Bill King on commentary
  9. "Only the fumbler can advance the ball" because Stabler fumbled (by modern rules it would probably be an "arm moving forward" incomplete pass) on a 4th down, and as the ball bounced forward Dave Casper kept "accidentally" (i.e. deliberately) batting the ball forward past the first down marker and beyond, eventually falling on the ball in the end zone for a winning TD. In which the ball was advanced [20+ yards] entirely by repeated fumbling.
  10. Because the rule only exists in reaction/retaliation to The Holy Roller to prevent it from being repeated. I assume The Holy Roller occurred with less than 2 minutes left in that game. [it was a regular season game, for the record.] It also, as I learned watching the Bengals last week, applies on 4th downs regardless of time remaining.
  11. Bizarro Greg Roman calling running plays in goal line situations?
  12. I will be sad when Frank Gore retires.
  13. Nah, he kicks his leg at him. That's tripping (of course, we have the benefit of slow motion). Making tripping look "accidental" is totally an NFL tradition. Competitive edge and what not.
  14. Safety by virtue of the Holy Roller Rule, somehow
  15. At one point the Bengals appeared to be taking penalties on defense to extend the drive/wipe out turnovers just so they could fuck with him more (and ultimately pick off a Manziel floater in the endzone). It was pretty bizarre to watch. They made him look real bad.
  16. The good news is, the way the 49ers are playing, nobody will be arguing the 6-10 NFC South Champion "stole" their playoff spot.
  17. Well they're clearly intimidated by Seattle in addition to being inferior to them and that's kinda a big deal when you share a division with them.
  18. ...finally remembered to try and utilize Michael Rivera aka this lady's: brother
  19. Well, there's 1 point for Hail Sabin, anyway. About 1 more than I anticipated.
  20. It's difficult to tell. There's been almost no attempt to even get him the ball. Now, you're half-right in that the scant number of balls that have gone his way, he's dropped a higher percentage of them than usual, but there's a bunch of things going on. [Kaepernick getting sacked with DAVID Carr like frequency being one of them]
  21. If you are in a position where you need, you have likely already lost. Ain't thrown to him all fucking year, for reasons unknown.
  22. Seems like only yesterday he was hailed as Legatron, master of placekicking. Kicker is the most "what have you done for me lately?" position even in a sport ruled by "what have you done for me lately?"
  23. Serves 'em right for putting faith in a Raider draft pick.
