gotta be a strong Roman Reigns parody shirt somewhere in that. Unbox 'Em Stack 'Em Sell 'Em Sell Everything And Leave -
if there is going to be an actual Pac-12 to come back to, Cal and Stanford ought to eventually come back to it. The All Coasts Conference Era, logistically, shouldn't last long. Just a generous helping hand in a time of great need (perhaps spawning a new out-of-conference scheduling tradition).

Jack Murphy Stadium was not exactly a launching pad, either. Petco Park rather famously isn't.

Don't forget Christopher Nowinski's opposing the Iraq War (and then having a debate with Scott Steiner about it) Or better yet, do forget it. And when you do give me pointers because I'd like to, too. -
https://x.com/uprootedoakland/status/1833707554461167975 Rage against the dying of the light. The soon to be lost Oakland A's win by using the already lost bunt, three times in a row.

Mason should still get 120 running behind Trent with nary a hiccup. But Shanahan and getting a wild hair up his nose go together like peanut butter and jelly...

only a couple quarters after he talked about how Settling For FGs Won't Be Enough To Win This Game, the Steelers won a game in which they only kicked field goals. Gotta love it.

Robert Gibson would be proud of that Falcons linebacker.

Pittsburgh putting a sleeperhold on the Falcons and America with this long, slow, all-Rushing drive. My kind of ball, really. edit: aaaand they immediately screw it up with a short pass that gains nothing and they end up stalling in the Red Zone with no points. Serves ya right for abandoning the run.

It's a new season and with it the return of Tradition. Tradition, such as Bills fans no-selling the Death of ECW Nous sommes pas les Gigantes! Nous sommes Beau! Nous sommes Courageau! Nous sommes Fort! Nous sommes pas les Gigantes Et nous abandonnons le ballon!

I'm pulling for a Tie only because they haven't come up with a rule change that allows both teams to get credited with a loss yet.
-
hopefully, so many teams have pulled the new stadium/relocation extortion racket by now that they've run out of scab cities to use as leverage. San Antonio? Jerry won't let 'em. St. Louis? Fool me twice, won't get fooled again. Kick Rocks. Oakland? Raiders or nothing, Kick Rocks. San Diego? Kick Rocks. Maybe this gets back to the private equity thing a week or so ago. The only scab cities left are overseas. Time to start putting some teeth into that threat.

Koko B. Ware is an early victim of his WWF/Vince persona overwriting his overall persona/career body of work. and The Ghostbuster is in the running for Raddest Finisher Of All Time. -
RIP Sid Vicious (1960-2024)

Arn Anderson, in decades as a Flair stablemate, never did so much to help Flair cheat to win a world title as Hogan did that night. That was Turn caliber. -
great news For those of you who are fans of Franchise Relocation and/or Contraction. Because we'll have a rash of that in about 10 years thanks to this.

"We could cut costs even further by only playing 9 guys on defense." "BRILLIANT."

RIP Sid Vicious (1960-2024)
BobbyWhioux replied to ChesterCopperpot's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Sid's promo skills are severely underrated. Whatever (often nonsense) he was saying, don't worry about that, just listen to how he sounded. The when and where he'd switch from whispering to shouting. Like a "Psycho" trying to stay composed and under wraps, only serving to make the fury worse when it finally unleashes. Can't remember who around here said it, but they said it best: Sid wrestles like he comes from an alternate dimension where wrestling is actually real. There's no hesitation or hint of inauthenticity. Sid never even entertains the idea that there is a fourth wall to break, let alone break it. Moves, words, whatever, few people capture the aura of being a wrestler like Sid did.- 141 replies

RIP Sid Vicious (1960-2024)
BobbyWhioux replied to ChesterCopperpot's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Sid saved the Shockmaster debut segment from being absolute disaster because he Does Not Break and gets everyone back on script. I am 100% serious. The segment is dying a death and it's Sid who defibrillates it by going right to his next line like nothing is amiss. -
this kind of drive is basically a snuff film for me now. Take that, video game offense

eventually all the legacy powerhouses will coalesce into a new Division I and the rest of current Division I will become a new Division 2, as your Vanderbilts (et al) get squeezed out of the SEC proper to facilitate these new marquee matchups. Or they just splinter away from the NCAA entirely. Which I for one would welcome, naturally. #Pac-10VengeanceFromBeyondTheGrave Until then, may these overlarge conferences where it's impossible for everyone to play each other usher in a new golden era of "they never played us!" The Wall Street Journal Vince McMahon Thread.
BobbyWhioux replied to Doragon's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
the old "heel manager in a neckbrace" bit suddenly ain't "too Southern Rasslin'" for Vince now, I see... -
Rob Manfred somehow being an even worse commissioner than Gary Bettman is the Ripken passing Gehrig of Being Dogshit. It should have been impossible.
-
just expand the active roster to 30 guys you cheap fucks [the owners] just because the NFL comes up with stupid new rules every offseason and happens to be popular doesn't mean your sport is magically going to become more popular because you invent stupid new rules every offseason

Especially if it's actually the heel's illegal tag leading to the babyfaces pinning the wrong guy. Which WWF kinda sorta did with Owen/Davey/Yoko at In Your House #3, admittedly. -

as someone who has been clamoring for years to have a replay review "did not complete the process of holding the tag rope" lead to an illegal tag thus invalid pin thus overturned Tag Team Title switch, I 100% approve.
