It's an interesting thing. Though nobody ever really wants to take a closer look beyond "MISOGNY!!!". I think the anger comes from the place, that for a lot of us (probably all,) in the real world, we associate girls with rejection. So for some, they see a girl in their hobby as an invasion of their safe place. Now that does not excuse acting like an asshole. But I think it explains it. There is also some who take it as them being condescending. That they are moving down a weight class, so desperate nerds will kiss their ass. Which I don't think is accurate and involves a ton of mind reading. I think people like whatever they like. In the end nobody wants to see people as individuals with distinct past and needs. They rather do Kaos vs Control and Gi.Joe vs Cobra, than do any real thinking.

Man, I dunno if Magnum ever would have jumped. Dusty really was building up Magnum to be the long-term top babyface of Crockett/WCW. A guy like Koloff or Flair jumping over to the WWF made sense, because they had a potential huge run against Hogan. Magnum probably didn't ever have that, because he was too much of a fan favorite to put against Hogan. Magnum's best potential for a WWF run would have been coming in as a babyface to square off with a heel Savage. I wonder if Magnum were healthy, would he have left with Dusty in 88.

The problem with Dutch's character is it is not this JR Ewing type you enjoy hating. Zeb is a guy whose brains you want to beat in and have him go away forever.

The Happening is one of those movies that really made me angry. It was so terrible and militant in not making sense. Like how even halfway in the movie, people not trying how to stop others from killing themselves. It is not even like it is this sudden thing, people act weird for a few minutes before doing it. Not once do they try to restrain someone acting weird. Or that part where the rednecks kill the kid and nobody wants to get retribution. I also really hate Death Proof, but I can't call it bad. Because it is the best made foot fetish film ever.

Rude really put guys over in ECW. A lot of guys of Rude's stature would have a serious bout of big timers disease. Instead he treated ECW like a big deal and went to trouble to make every guy seem like a star.

Nexus was never going to work long term because those guys were not good enough in the ring. The booking was really half assed, where they wanted Nexus to win, but not really win. The Shield has worked because they let them win matches and they are good enough in the ring, a loss will not kill them.

Honestly I know tons of people who watch wrestling. Kids and teenagers mostly, WWE merchandise can't stay on the shelves around here. Vermin multiplies far more than the general public, as anyone who has seen Idiocracy knows.

Of course a lot of fans do not even understand the concept of a bully. A guy attacking a man who outweighs him by over a 100 pounds is not a bully. Especially when the big guy has ambushed him more than once. It is not really those fans fault. They were warped by PWI praising Flair.

But really wrestling stopped being a power fantasy for the common man and is a power fantasy for a tired old man on the edge of death. It doesn't help the rest of his family is very sheltered to anything resembling what the average person is like.
