I don't know that I've ever been happier for anyone in wrestling than I am for Kingston right at this moment. I cried a bunch reading that thing, especially A) having my own similar issues and B) knowing I was among the "little birds" asking for him to be signed, literally while he was still laying on the ramp. I really kind of needed to read that today. Massive, massive respect to that guy.

I enjoyed this show except for the American Top Team segment. Hulk Hogan in 1997 or HHH in 2002 would've thought that thing went long. Really great to see Miro slotted in there for Mox, I saw him suggested here and elsewhere and sometimes the logical choice is the best one. Very excited to hear Kingston's rebuttal MJF using "glorified stuntman" got me fired up for that one. Must be some sort of mental trigger from growing up a Mick Foley fan.

Angels kicks ass and has a legitimately great underdog backstory. Let's see if there are any complaints about how much Kenny gives him tonight (though, I'm wondering where we're heading with Angels after his most unceremonious loss to Mox).

For now. This could very easily change once these current TV deals are up, and Fox/NBCU sees that Time Warner is getting a pretty decent chunk of that audience at a much lesser cost. Now, I'm not suggesting WWE is going to be somehow thrown off TV or unable to pay it's workers or something - they could probably stay afloat on Saudi money and old footage alone - but they're going to need to do *something* to justify getting those astronomical rights fees from their TV partners again.

It would never happen. You'd have a pretty significant amount of people looking for wrestling on Monday nights, and I have to imagine Rampage could do a whole lot better from 8-10 than Big Bang Theory. Now, I very seriously doubt AEW/TBS would want to oppose the NFL, especially with the Khans owning a team, so we're talking purely in hypotheticals, but WWE would have to be dumb as shit to do that after 28 years on and off in that slot on cable.

Big agree here. Doing just that with the Rock in the WM XIV IC title match played a massive role in Shamrock's popularity, IMO. It was almost like a more-modern Hulk-up, but with the added storytelling bonus of looking real strong in a loss.

@D.Zwwould you happen to know, is that Owen/Kid match from King of the Ring or Raw? I want to track the whole thing down

Many excellent points made here. I hate MMA in my wrestling too, but if it has to be done, there's a way to straddle that line to make it more effective. It's the difference between something like "We're tougher because every match we have is a cage match!" vs. "We're tougher because you guys are actors and we fight for real!"

My guess is Hangman goes over for the title, gets mauled by Moxley or Danielson in his first defense, and starts to have a crisis around the fact that the world is unjust. "It was my time, I did everything right and it didn't even matter, this wasn't supposed to happen" that kind of thing. This way, the story changes to him chasing the title for a second time to prove it wasn't a fluke, and since he's already had the big feel good moment, the title doesn't have to be tied up in his journey like it was in round one. You can have Mox/Danielson/Omega trade it for a year until Hangman makes it back to the top.

That's actually awesome. I have found that what we call "long johns" in the US can get too hot, so I switched to using my girlfriend's workout pants under jeans. Pretty great so far, and I had no idea I was showing solidarity with my Finnish friends

Always nice to surpass a million, but it seems pretty damn good up against a world series game with two teams from big southern markets, and having been moved to a completely different date/time for two weeks

I thought it had it's moments, but outright saying "I won't turn" was Russo shit. I guess that's sort of ironic given how he prefaced it, but I think I'm still a little young for yelling at clouds.

Shida/Deeb was absolute fire. You just do not see limb work on the level of Deeb's by anyone not named Danielson, I thought it was great. Plus the figure 4 on the post, real Bret Hart shit. Shida was excellent here as well, she had one really devestating looking knee shot off the ropes. I want more of these two together badly. I also like that you've got the built in knee injury for Shida to overcome against Nyla or as an excuse to lose to her.

Completely understand why you feel that way, because I have no time for those types as well, but from what I've been able to gather, it seems like he may just be a guy who legit wanted to help end human trafficking. If something else comes out then that's a different deal

If this has been discussed already, forgive me, but I saw a report of Bryan Alvarez mentioning that when Moxley was on his way out of WWE, they attempted to leak false information about him to make him look bad on the way out, and that it might be a similar situation here. Not that I'm a Charlotte super-fan or anything, but I'm a little disappointed to have seen not a single grain of salt these last couple pages.
