  1. The only person who does a move called 818 should be Brody King and it should immediately be followed up by a huge brawl /GodsHate
  2. Fight Forever is current 20% off in the PS Store. Still gonna wait for Black Friday, personally...
  3. I truly loathe the oversaturation of people using the term vinyl. I bought vinyl, I love collecting vinyl, I like listening to vinyl... How about calling it music? You love music, you like listening to music, etc... Just drives me nuts.
  4. Raising Cane's are starting to pop up in New England and my heart is happy. Culver's next plz.
  5. GWAR will always have my respect for going on an episode of Springer about "shock rock" and completely winning the crowd over, as well as supporting a young fan of theirs who also guested and totally made some legit hate rock douchebag look like a fool.
  6. Suppose I should've mentioned that I got into it in the mid 90s and living just an hour from Boston, so I got to see some extremely intimate shows with bands that got yuuuuuuuge like Hatebreed, Converge, KSE, American Nightmare, etc with like 100 people in the crowd. Dropped out when the pants got insanely tight, though...
  7. So to tie this back into everything, I'm recently rediscovering modern hardcore and a huge part of that links to Brody King. I had to check out God's Hate and godDAMN they're awesome. From there I learned about Colin Young and his work with other AEW wrestlers, as well as his podcast HardLore: Stories From Tour with Bo from Harm's Way. Great fucking podcast, which was easy to dip a toe into since they had interviews with Brody, The Butcher, Danhausen, and Malakai. From there I got into their list episodes, and learned about SO many awesome modern bands. Colin also gets props for me for repeatedly mentioning Boston legends Sam Black Church, who were a HUGE part of my teens. I've only listened to a bit of Turnstile but it blows my mind that a hardcore band did an NPR Tiny Desk Concert. Plus we've got Matty Matheson being seemingly the most mainstream hardcore kid ever, which rules. HC will always be just out of the limelight but it's always so heartwarming seeing folks from the scene be successful
  8. Wow, I cannot stand the Impractical Jokers but I'm appalled that they don't get shit for residuals off their work. Way lame.
  9. @Greggulator I already loved Ink And Dagger plenty, but that absolutely increases my adoration!
  10. Woah, this just made me realize that the skins I've known were WAY less scummy than the edge dudes and that's WILD
  11. Even though I've met a few okay sXe HC dudes, I completely agree that a lot of 'em can be self-righteous douche canoes.
  12. The two big promos totally outshined all the in-ring action. Here's hoping what they both lead to rules as much as I hope it will.
  13. So I didn't see it mentioned on here, and I don't have social media, but Rick Froburg, vocalist of Pitchfork, Drive Like Jehu, and Hot Snakes, passed away at the end of June/beginning of July (seeing different dates, just found out myself so...). Dude was only 55 and apparently went by natural causes, an unidentified heart disease
  14. I saw that discussion on Reddit earlier. The thing is, there are plenty of people who seem to spend a whole lot of money to go to those shows to just be douchebags on camera and that girl absolutely seemed to fall in that category. I was annoyed with her and several others while trying to watch the show. ...but fucking death threats?!?! Come ON. Every single one of those people doing that should be ashamed of themselves and ostracized.
  15. All in all there was a ton of great camera shots and directorial decisions that ended up looking spectacular.
  16. I guess I picked a good day to change my username lest I be confused for/accused of being somebody else again...
  17. AEW has truly mastered the art of "under promise, over deliver." That was fucking GREAT.
  18. Am I crazy or is this a much better show on paper than the one scheduled in front of 80,000+ people?
  19. So what you're saying is annoying douchebaggery is worse than assaulting coworkers? Personally I usually FF through the Bucks' matches but... come ON.
  20. Gonna throw this out there but it seems like the production problems early in Collision are on TNT's side so don't worry about whatever outlet you're using to watch.
  21. I watched Dynamite this morning and bought All Out right after the Bullet Club Gold segment. OC is my favorite wrestler and him being in the main event had me on the fence but The Bang Bang Gang did the deed, man.
  22. Well that's the thing: if you actually understand dom/sub dynamics, technically the subs are the ones holding all the power
  23. AEW was so fuckin great before the Punk drama and wrestling jOuRnAlIsTs going ALL IN on the clickbait. I'm pretty happy to see us on the way back to those days.
