  1. I was noticing the missing episodes immediately, because everything they did in episode one would have been a 2 episodes story in the past. Also, the Lila/Five/Diego stuff absolutely needed more time. Was it just me, or did they dial Five back by a lot? I mean in terms of making him a more humble character.
  2. I didn't see Umbrella Academy being discussed anywhere else, so I'll just stick my season 4 thoughts here. This has been one of my favorite shows over the last several years, and it's crazy to me that they took this weird ass comic and honestly made something really special with the show. Most of that came from the awesome casting and writing. That said, Netflix did them dirty with the abbreviated final season. There were several things I liked and overall I liked what they went for with the season, but it was very apparent that they needed those missing four episodes to fully bake those ideas. On top of that, there were several threads from season 3 that didn't get addressed. Part of me wonders if they originally planned on a 5th season, and things had to get rewritten when that didn't happen. I'll forever be sad that they didn't get to fully do what they wanted to here. Overall I didn't dislike the season nearly as much as a lot of people online, but the end would have packed more punch with better development. Even with all that, I still cried at the end, and appreciated the more mature tone of the season overall. Nick Offerman and Megan Mulally were great in their parts.
  3. If you want evidence that the casual viewers stopped paying attention to the MCU after Endgame, go on your Facebook feeds and look at all the confused reactions to the RDJ as Dr. Doom news.
  4. At MOST it might have a post credit with RDJ Dr. Doom, but I feel like it's mostly self contained, and probably set on a different Earth.
  5. Biggest laugh out loud thing for me was the running gag when Deadpool would ask about Didn't mention it earlier, but I thought the big fight scene at the end was awesome.
  6. I won't do spoiler yet, but the thing I loved about this is that it really didn't give a shit about the MCU and was focused on giving closure to all those characters and movies that got cast aside. The cameos were all done with purpose and affection. I don't agree with the "playing around with dead things" critique. This wasn't The Flash. There were a couple of Wolverine scenes that were probably the most heartfelt and dramatic moments ever done in the MCU. I'd say Jackman's performance rivaled his work in Logan. Very happy with the film.
  7. Honestly I had Acolyte in the middle of the pack in terms of the live action shows, and I honestly quite liked it. It's just a show that swung for the fences, but came away with a double. I'm not even going to entertain all the dumbass arguments that the rage bait youtubers brought up about breaking lore and shit. But I keep seeing people attack the writing, acting and directing, and outside of a couple of things, I just never saw a problem with any of those. I recommend people try out some media literacy. Frankly, outside of the sequel trilogy, I think Disney has done a good job with Star Wars. The shows are mostly good-great, the books are coherent and actually mostly good. They are trying new things to take the franchise in interesting directions, and the franchise desperately needs new. I saw someone suggest that most of the hate comes from people who have ignored the last 10 years of the actual canon, and can't accept that the stuff that they held onto isn't relevent anymore, and that just makes too much sense to me. Lastly, I'm totally fine with the show not having a true protagonist or good guy. The Jedi are cops and the show treated them like it.
  8. The booking this season is going crazy for real. They were really about to leave Hawk at home because of a flag hunt lmaaaoooo
  9. Boston was so good in the first 3 games, and the Luka narratives got so weird after game 3, that I think everyone forgot that Dallas is a really good basketball team. Also the Windhorst piece was such embarrassing bad faith bullshit. I was glad that JJ Redick kinda called him out on air about it.
  10. Even the most optimistic Mavs fans were wary of the trade. We were PISSED that they gave up Finney-Smith for Kyrie. Fast forward a year later, and both Derrick Jones Jr and PJ Washington are giving us everything DFS did and then some. Kyrie become a locker room leader and a down in the trenches defender.
  11. After years of having to deal with lineups consisting of Sam Dalembert, Chris Kaman, Chandler Parsons, Mark James and OJ Mayo, I never thought I'd see the Mavs back in the Finals. Idk if we win, but I'll never bet against Luka in a high pressure situation.
  12. It wasn't even even Luka or Kyrie, it was JADEN HARDY.
  13. I'm actually so happy for Gaff and PJ. Just to be able to come from the perpetual losing teams they were on, to being key pieces on a Finals team. It's like Andy Dufresne crawling out of Shawshank.
  14. Lively being out might be Minnesota's best chance to get a win here.
  15. I think Minnesota hit Dallas with their best shot tonight. KAT and Edwards are both folding under the pressure, and Luka/Kyrie getting switches with elite lob threat outlets is a nightmare scenario. Luka hates Gobert and I love it.
  16. OKC HAS to add some size. It's been their weakness all season. They don't even need an elite big, just someone that can bang, defend and rebound.
  17. SGA isn't that guy yet. Maybe Dallas finally gets some credit now, instead of the dipshits like Bill Simmons saying that the opposing teams beat themselves. Dallas was fucking SLOPPY in the first half, the officiating was next level bad, and the OKC role players finally stepped up. Can't believe how well the Mavs recovered by the end. Lively and PJ were HUGE.
  18. I was wondering how long it would take for the Thibs minutes to catch up to the Knicks, and it has done so with a vengeance. Honestly, would anyone be surprised if Indy takes the series now? Combine the injuries with the dudes playing 45 minutes per game, and it's just not sustainable. If they somehow survive this series, Celtics sweep them easily.
  19. I watch literally every Mavs game, and dude gets the absolute shit kicked out of him every night. It's finally catching up to him at the worst time. There is no reason that OKC shouldn't be up 3-0 right now, given how pedestrian Luka and Kyrie have been. You can't feel great about getting beaten by PJ Washington, Josh Green and Derek Lively twice in a row, especially when you have the supposed MVP runner up and coach of the year.
  20. Dallas absolutely should have won that game yesterday, and probably would have done so if that terrorist Jason Kidd had put Gafford or Lively back in towards the end, instead of having Harden hit six uncontested floaters in the paint. As far as I'm concerned, that was a coaching loss.
  21. And still the best one out there.
  22. There is going to be an actual fight in this Clips-Mavs series before it's all said and done. Also, apparently don't fuck with PJ Washington??
  23. Fuck it, Mavs winning the whole thing this year. Y'all can't tell me nothing.
  24. Lmfao at Kyrie hitting a 20 foot hook shot.
