Dear Flyers, please come back to win your series so I don't have to intentionally root for the Pens in the next round (having to root for the Habs makes me sick enough).

Good news: I get to see at least one more Nets playoff game at Barclays. Bad news: it's game 6 vs Toronto and not game 3 vs Miami. Poor free throw shooting came back to haunt the Nets. Really can't see them winning game 5 after this. They blew it just like last year.

If the Nets win this game it will be a miracle. Toronto is killing them with the pick and roll, Nets D is nonexistent. Atmosphere here is better than regular season but nothing special.

The best thing about the whole Sterling thing is it's probably going to lead to a great segment on Red Eye.

Is Luis Robles the next Tim Howard? Think he could be the next great Metro developed keeper. Only real weakness he has is his disribution, which isn't the best. He's been fantastic this season, hate to think where we'd be without him.

Playoffs in Philly are insane. Was about as loud and wild as I've ever seen at WFC. Not as great as Nassau last year, but this was about as good an atmosphere as you will get in a modern building. Had to leave midway through third to get train back to Trenton (where I would get NJT to get me back to the city. I then go to Grand Central to get the last train to Brewster). Had a splitting headache and felt sick, so I stopped at a 7-11 and got Gatorade. I'll tell you, when you have a headache Gatorade often works as a cure, and it did here.

Sterling should be forced to sell the team to Terry Pegulia, who would then bring the Braves back to Buffalo.

Flyers win: yay. Flyers don't give out t-shirts because Ed $nider wants to sell them instead: boo.

Hope they buy the rights to the Adirondack Frostbite name from Barry Melrose (Trasher's most bitter rivals from the old UHL).

Because everyone not from or living in Raleigh realizes that the Carolina Hurricanes should be the Hartford Whalers. I hope/expect that mistake to eventually be rectified. And just like that in a single post, the number of Hartford Whalers fans on the internet has doubled. Anywhere I go in my travels when I wear Whalers stuff I get tons of compliments from other fans, and they all tell me they miss the Whale. And I can't remember the last time I've been to a game in NY, NJ or Philly where I didn't see at least one person wearing a Whalers jersey. And not to mention the Brass Bonanza is the de facto CT state anthem (every college band in the state plays it at games).

Seeing what the Hawks are doing just makes the Knicks failure of a season that much more painful. .

Calgary's AHL affiliate is leaving Abbotsford, and the smart money is on the team heading to Glenns Falls, NY. Would be glad if that happens as they are losing Phantoms and deserve a team.

ESC has been doing the Yes chant after goals since 2012. People in the other supporters group are bitching about it because they think wrestling is stupid. They also think our chants in Spanish are stupid, so I want us to take a page out of ADR's book and chant Si instead.

If we are talking CT hockey teams that no longer exist you can't forget the Danbury Trashers (one of the main reasons I like Philly and the Flyers is because they remind me of the Trashers team and fans). Look them up on YouTube. As for the Whalers: If you offered me one of two things, $10 million dollars or the Whalers coming back I'd take the Whalers every time. There is no fortune that would make me as happy as being able to see my Whalers again.

Let's See: I think your fandom covers 21 states now. Let's see: New York: Sabres, Knicks, Mets (and what the hell, let's include the Isles and Nets b/c I have season tickets for both). New Jersey: Metro ( and we'll throw in Devils b/c I have st even though I hate them) Ohio: Bengals PA: (Go to Flyers games, fan of the city and fans if you want to include that)

Actually not from LI, I'm from Brewster, NY which is in Putnam County (55 miles north of NYC). As to how I became a Bengals fan: around 1985 when I was 7 years old there was a sporting goods store near where I lived. They were selling NFL jerseys on clearance and my dad got me a Kenny Anderson one. Ever since I've been a Bengals fan.

Looking more and more like Isles are going to be sold. People can take shots at Wang for running things on the cheap and being a lunatic, but this must be said: if it wasn't for him there would be no Islanders. It would've been real easy to move the team to KC or Quebec, but he didn't, and for that he deserves the gratitude of all metro area hockey fans. In a way, he's comparable to Gollisano in Buffalo.

Foligno should've done the leap like his dad. And I'm really dreading the possibility of everything lining up for a Bruins-Rags EC final.

Carcillo is going to need to get an escort from cops in riot gear to get out of the building. Visiting players in Philly basically get the heat that heels who worked Mid South would get, so yeah this could get ugly. Anyone wearing Rangers gear tonight was certifiable. I've been to 2 playoff games in Philly vs the Sabres and (because I value my life) did not wear any Sabres gear.

Nets aren't going to shoot like shit every night, not to mention you have to win a game at Barclays and I don't see that happening.
