You're really okay with this? I thought the goal this year was for the Sabres to get a top pick? I figure if anything they'll start trading away guys ASAP to prevent any more wins. I'm torn: McDavid or Eichel would be swell, but it is nice to play meaningful hockey after December. If tanking is the strategy than they made the wrong choice in hiring Nolan because he gets the most out of the least. It's ironic that Islander fans were furious when he was fired there because he made an awful team on paper a team that nearly made playoffs. But then they collapsed the season after he was fired and ended up with JT, which was the single best thing that happened to the organization since they acquired Butch Goering in the trade that put them over the top. Could history repeat itself?

I just realized that the Sabres are now only 6 points out of a playoff spot. If Nolan were to somehow pull that off he should imediately be inducted into the HHOF. Seriously, is there anyone better at turning chicken shit into chicken salad?

Left Sixers game early to catch train but listened to the end on the team's app. It was basically like listening to the Hindenburg crashing. At least I picked up a nice hat for $10 that goes with my jacket. Also RIP Church's Chicken in Suburban Station, I will miss you dearly.

Isles stealthily released season ticket prices for Barclays. Cheapest is $20 a game which works for me. No price was given for obstructed seats, but I think they should sell them for $10. You can't see the goal at that end so that would be fair if you ask me. BTW if you guys need a good laugh the ultra premium first row seats are $1,000 a game. Yeah, that's a little out of my price range.

Watching the Sixers is like watching the Globetrotters if they played a game where they were all drunk. They try to pull off majestirial basketball but just aren't good enough to pull it off.

Its as bad as seeing Patrick Ewing in a Sonics uniform, and likely to end just as well. Brodeur is probably the only modern player who defines and is the face of a franchise, him playing for any team except the Devils is (ahem) blasphemy.

Mathis at his best blew away Dempsey. If he doesn't get hurt Metro would have at least one title. Still remember him scoring what I feel is still the greatest goal in MLS history vs Dallas (basically a copy of the legendary Maradona goal from the 86 world cup. If he doesn't get hurt the entire history of American soccer from 2001 on would be changed greatly.

Faewell TH14, you were pure class, the greatest player to EVER play in MLS. You will always have my love and respect for the Metro armband alone that showed you understood the concept of honoring our history. The team should create a Hall of Fame and make TH, JPA, Clint and Gio the inaugural class. Team is clearly now interested in honoring our history and I'm glad they are doing so.

Sabres sweep a home and home vs the Habs. Clearly we need to fire Nolan and replace him with Sabretooth so we can get back our lead in the McDavid Sweepstakes.

TH was shaking everyones hand after the game and it was fairly obvious that this was his goodbye. The window we had just shut and I fear we may end up in a rebuild mode.

I'm from New York and I'd mark the fuck out for Bojangles. That stuff beats the shit out of KFC. Also the Nets had a cannon that fired Taco Bell burritos into the stands when they were in NJ. I think they actually got sued by a guy who was hit by one.

Interesting thing I noticed on StubHub: with the exception of a few markets you can get tickets in the $10-$20 range for almost any midweek game. Was shocked to see tickets for $10 for places like SA, Dallas and OKC but then again you can get most games in Brooklyn for in the $10-$15 range. Guess what I am saying is if you want to see a game check out StubHub b/c prices there are more reasonable than you'd think.

Fun fact: going back to last year the Sixers have won 4 of their last 51 games. Tonight was not one of them :-(
