  1. What Four controversy? I never watched the movies since they seemed to be hated. Ok, my memory's a little fuzzy about the exact details but it goes something like this: 1. Movies are announced with voice cast changes, including Yukana for Four. Generally no reaction to the changes, mostly because (I think) people thought Tomino was the one who wanted the changes. 2. Sometime around when the first movie comes out, it's revealed that Tomino wanted Saeko Shimazu, Four's original seiyuu, to replay her in the movies but left it in the director's hands. 3. The director first says that he thought Shimazu was retired (outright lie because she was at the time doing a lot of stuff for the Paris portion of Sakura Taisen). Then I think he says that he somehow couldn't get in touch with her or her agency. 4. Rumor comes out that the director might have had an affair with Yukana or at least has given her favorable roles in the past. 5. There was also an online petition to actually replace Yukana in the DVD/BD versions of the Zeta movies with Shimazu. Even Turn A??? There's nothing UC wise that can compare to Turn A, IMO.
  2. Other than ZZ, I'd rather watch all of the non-UC stuff than UC. Well, except for AGE. And I guess SEED Destiny, although Banpresto's rewriting of Shinn has made me a little more forgiving towards it.
  3. Well, I don't think anyone has any idea these days if G-Saviour is even considered an actual Gundam property...
  4. No. The revelation in Unicorn SHOULD have been a major game changer in the history of the UC and possibly cause F91 and Victory not to happen.
  5. The final episode of Unicorn is pretty good. The problem is that the big revelation doesn't mean much since the series is shoehorned into the middle of the Universal Century and what happens afterward has already been shown.
  6. I tend to get annoyed with the Zeta movies mostly because of the Four controversy. At least it's still considered a separate continuity if you go by the extras on the final Unicorn Blu Ray which show scenes from ZZ.
  7. No idea what Sunrise's current viewpoint is, but as of a few years ago anything non-animated (i.e., video games, manga, etc) was considered non-canon unless something is referenced in one of the anime series (which means the original Advance of Zeta is considered canon (to the Zeta movies at least), at least some if not all of the SEED Astray manga is canon, etc).
  8. I don't remember there being much of one besides the general 'Victory Gundam is a mess because of Tomino's depression'. I think the viewer is supposed to assume that the Federation has gone downhill based off of F91. As for the Zanscare, they're just a new group of spacenoids who are trying to take over the Earth sphere. I do wonder if Victory would be better if Tomino's state of mind of better. But, really, other than the V2, there's not that much I liked about Victory. And don't get me started on Shakti...
  9. Since it'll probably take at least a good 2 or 3 years for all the appeals to happen (and I can see it going all the way to the Supreme Court), it's sort of a moot point to get all worked up over a name change anyway. And besides, considering how badly the USPTO does its job if you go by all the hilarious court cases in the rocket docket of East Tyler, TX, I wouldn't be shocked if it's overturned.
  10. ESPN's reporting that Steve Ballmer won the Clippers bidding for $2 billion. Wonder if he'll try to move the team to Seattle eventually.
  11. I wonder if the NBA will change the lottery system to be like the NHL's. From ESPN:
  12. Ok, this has to be a bigger fix than the Ewing lottery and the Wiz lottery win.
  13. Yeah, AoT season 1 ends in a cliffhanger, and a changed one from the manga to boot. As for the manga...no matter how long it ends up being, it'll still end before the Saki manga...
  14. Yeah, should have known how it would wind up with a Washington team facing elimination at home. Oh well, better season than I thought it'd be for the Wiz. Now let's see if they overpay for Gortat and/or Ariza...
  15. From what ESPN's legal expert said on a local DC podcast the whole thing would automatically go into arbitration and not the courts anyway because that's how the owners contracts are written. So there's pretty much no chance of a court even being allowed to preside over it unless Sterling has a judge in his back pocket.
  16. Hmm...sort of thankful that the Skins didn't sign Kenny Britt in the offseason from what Deadspin posted (NSFW so won't put the link on here)...
  17. Bruce Allen is a TRAITOR!
  18. Ugh...sometimes the Wiz are TOO dependent on the three. At least we got the split.
  19. There's also a rumor that Bynum ate him for lunch in practice right after the Pacers brought Bynum in and Hibbert's lost all confidence since then.
  20. Win or lose this series, I'll be satisfied with how the Wiz have stepped it up this year.
  21. I...can't believe the Wiz are going to the second round.
  22. Except that according to ESPN's legal expert: As an example, the judge overseeing the NFL collusion case last year went against the NFLPA because the NFLPA agreed to the deal to penalize the Cowboys and Redskins for not colluding. And I would say that there was much more damaging evidence in that case.
  23. I'd say Leonsis is a definite vote to remove Sterling.
  24. So, 1/4 of 30 is 7.5. So 7 other owners besides Sterling himself has to vote to keep him. Considering how toxic the situation is, and with some of the recent ownership changes, it just doesn't seem to me that there'd be 7 other owners who would do that. Maybe Dolan? Maybe Cuban? I guess Kohl possibly too since the Bucks deal hasn't been approved yet.
