  1. Did it require use of the WWE App? Doesn't pretty much everything now? Just providing an opening for people to make fun of users of the WWE App. You could tell Booker T was pretty happy, I dug him reprising the pinky salute.
  2. I quite like the 'big reverb on the huh!' gimmick with the Katy Perry single, and I do like the video (especially the 'oh it was just a dream.....actually no, it wasn't bit at the end) - but yeah, it's just a bit too simple and cynical for my tastes. Katy Perry is certainly visually appealing so you won't be hearing any complaints from me about the Roar video. Are you sure there's no Rihanna album coming out this year? She(or should I say her record label) seem pretty gung ho about her releasing a new album almost every calendar year. Hmmmm, a deeper dig on teh internets suggests she might yet get one out. But Beyonce may yet release her album, and with Katy Perry, Gaga, Miley sticking their albums out too - I think Rihanna will sit it out unless she's got something big to offer.
  3. He was using the Fire Thunder Driver as his finish at that point, so HHH wasn't no-selling a finish.
  4. I think the thing to compare Roar to is Applause, and Applause is so much more the song. I liked Applause a few weeks ago, but I don't find myself listening to it much. The position of Rihanna is taken barb is fair enough, but 75 million views on Vevo tells you that America still loves hot white jailbait ass. Plus there's no Rihanna album this year.
  5. Wrecking Ball isn't subtle in any way, and the lead into the third chorus where she's on the edge of breaking down but still jumps into belting out the chorus feels off - Miley wasn't particularly well directed here imo. I do like the song here though, the keyboard line and the verse lyrics just about make all the histrionics work.
  6. Every time they had major plans for him he got hurt in the early part of them. It's not his fault, they just can't trust him to not get injured at a key point. His biggest injury came from saving Ziggler from basically getting killed, so this is a pretty major injustice.
  7. It's Bodie's opinion (and Wee-bay's) that Avon and Stringer were different, but there isn't a shit ton to back that up really. Bodie gets whacked out for snitching just like Wallace. The game is the game. Always.
  8. Her family are the British equivalent of white trash. To be fair, that doesn't really do them justice. I am only reading today that Ricky and Saraya took over a pub ("The Romany" no less) in June 2008, which was then raided and closed by police in November 2008 - with a customer getting tasered. They're proper carny folk for sure, but they seem like nice enough people if you don't get on their bad side.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5wh1HAWKU8 Gaga set the bar too high for herself really, but I definitely like this more than 'Born This Way'.
  10. Being in a relationship with a diva while not being a WWE guy must be ridiculous. Not even taking a shot at the divas. Just, all those sharks would have me paranoid. You'd almost have to just accept the inevitable. "At least it was Ziggler. I like Ziggler" I remember Paige's pops (Ricky Knight) on another messageboard causing much lulz a year or so back by stating that none of the WWE guys would be getting their hands on her because she had a long-term boyfriend.
  11. "We run thing, things don't run we" - I really like this. Unoriginal as fuck, but there's a charm to it nonetheless. I now notice Matt D posted it in spoiler tags above, but fuck it.
  12. Given that Wade Barrett and R-Truth are jobbers at the moment, that's surely got to be one of the weakest Main Events yet in terms of billing.
  13. Yes yes yes, but I don't consider declaring head of time when you will cash-in to be the same thing.
  14. Mark Henry even had the ref help him leave; I admire the sell-job but I think Mark Henry is basically finished as a main-event monster. I wasn't in love with the match as I just see Henry as smarter than thinking one WSS would put Cena down. I agree that Sandow will quite likely be the first to cash-in and fail. Ziggler's been getting over by escaping beatdowns - he can just walk out of the match and noone will hate on him for it too much. I'm not 100% sure they'll rush to Cena vs Bryan, it wouldn't surprise me if they run Cena vs Henry vs Ryback or somesuch at SummerSlam. I enjoyed much of the PPV, though some of it made me want to smash my head against the wall.
  15. Ziggler never beat Punk and Cena in a HITC match. The point is there is a big difference between ADR having the belt and Sandow having the belt.
  16. Bookmakers Paddy Power had Randy Orton as the strong odds-on favourite (and not in the Gorilla Monsoon way), with Damien Sandow being odds-on to take the World Heavyweight Title version. Daniel Bryan and Wade Barrett are second favourites. Given that Wade was supposed to win MITB last year at Mania before he got injured protecting Ziggler, he arguable deserves it. I like Sandow, but giving him the Big Belt would be way too much right now.
