we already established that the Devil communicates through text messages 2 weeks ago, but maybe the Devil is using AI to generate a fake Ole Anderson voice

Yes, there are ways around that for sure, but you would think that when the cameras are not on the devil, they would talk in their normal voice because wtf? That should clue them in, unless they indeed are complete morons!

Are the goons two different groups or are they just working for both devils not realizing they’re two different people?

I would imagine that they would have to be the same guys,  but they would be kinda clueless if they can't figure out that sometimes the devil speaks in a woman's voice. Britt and Cole are roughly the same size so that wouldn't be an issue, though.

I'm still thinking the Devil is Cole.

Someone on Reddit (yeah, I know) had a pretty interesting idea: what if there are TWO devils, one trying to help MJF and the other trying to hurt him, and they aren't aware of who the other person is! In that case the devils were Britt and Cole. But of course,  they both would have goons, so that theory kinda falls apart there. But I found that a very interesting outcome.

Obviously Cole was there to help MJF but Britt was there to hurt him because he hogs all of Cole's time and Britt's tv time.

  4. I watched the Fight Club Finland wrestling school documentary and it was actually very good. It was funny that the guy with most sports background (in ice hockey) and a look of a passable wrestler was fast tracked to the ring and pushed up the card from the word go. He got to beat everybody he faced and no-sell most of the minor offense by his opponents.

The hipster looking guy I referred to earlier was a pretty good seller, so he got his ass kicked most of the time. The young woman in the show was very good at the character and entertainment aspect, but during this show she was not trusted to get through an actual match, but was used as a valet and a mouthpiece from relatively early on.

Overall, this was way better than I ever expected. It's just kinda jarring that the guy who had some semblance of a physique was immediately pushed to the top. It makes me think I might actually have had a shot, if I was born 10 years later than I did. This is not to say that the guy didn't have talent. His power moves looked wonderfully crisp, but of course, it could be due to editing.

I may have to go and see a FCF show one of these days, if they ever travel outside of Helsinki again, and I guess going there to see it isn't out of the question, either.

Oh, and as a side note, the guy they pushed facially looked like Pete Dunne and Chuck Palumbo had a kid, so he definitely had the look down. The athletic background helped as he was already in a good cardiovascular condition and was used to contact sports.

  5. Hangman vs Strong was certainly good enough, nice to see Dead Eye being able to end matches again. Strong did try to make a point to Joe earlier, but Joe was only proved wrong at the very end (was that real glass, btw). This didn't prove Roddy right, though.

Andrade vs Brody was every bit as good as expected. Somewhat surprising that Andrade is now the front runner, but that means Claudio absolutely has to beat him on Saturday, or he's pretty much taking this league.

Ruby vs Riho was definitely ok, Toni was good on commentary, the match should be at least ok at World's End, but nothing too exciting.

Rush destroyed Lethal, only to be beaten by math when White got past Briscoe in a much better match.

During Winnipeg Jets vs Absolute Big Assholes promo battle, I too was thinking "this is going pretty terribly, isn't it?" Hopefully the match will make up for this abomination!

Mox vs Swerve was definitely a good match, but I was not into it all that much. Mox winning was actually surprising, but not necessarily in a good way. I don't know which is worse, him going 5-0 or going 4-1 with White being the only one to beat him? He still may likely lose the semi-finals even if he goes 5-0, though.

Yeah, now for the first time I absolutely saw one of the terrorists being bigger than others. Compared to Hangman, yeah it is absolutely plausible for it to be Wardlow, but then The Devil being MJF would be very stupid. Well, I mean stupid if you are Wardlow. Why on earth would he realign with the World Champion who he absolutely crushed the only time they faced each other? If I'm MJF, I'm promising this guy anything he wants, as long as I don't have to face him again!

All this just reminds me that my gym has ONE weird nonstandard barbell floating around.  It looks just like the 20KG ones upon cursory glance, but it actually closer to half that.  I hate that fucking thing and how its existence makes me have to check every bar before I load it up.  Ridiculous.

Reminds me of the fucking barbell at work which was 17kg instead of 20kg and it fucked over by bench results for YEARS without me realising that until earlier this year. Now we have each one marked, so that can't happen again. Also, I think the guy who bought our old bench for his garage gym later bought that particular barbell for himself too.

I have no idea why I've never considered using a different bar.  LOL.  I just use the barbell with my hands maybe 8-10" apart.  Do different bars hit the target areas differently for this exercise?

Well, EZ bar is supposed to give you the supination of the wrists, so that should work on the inside of the bicep more. From recent experience I can tell that the wide grip on a barbell definitely feels different, but I am not sure how it hits the bicep differently?

  8. Newest Impact in 60 -episode on DAZN features Brian Cage! Matches against Lashley, Matt Sydal, (Rey) Fenix and Johnny "TV" Impact.  Now this is the Machine I wish I could see more often in AEW, but I suppose he has put on so much MORE muscle that some of these moves are no longer on the menu. Either way, a terrific episode!

Oh, there's more! Title defence against Sam Callihan! The many sides of Brian Cage! That's awesome!

I just want to know if Jessica Love is doing okay. She's cool.

There was a documentary about her and Michael (the Starbuck-guy) some years ago (let's say 5-ish, could be more) and around that time I saw some program where she had a professional photoshoot and I remember that she was very happy how they turned out. Unfortunately, I have no information on how her life has been since then.

I really wanna know if Finnish wrestling is gonna have its own regional twist, like Finnish hardcore punk (totally unhinged) and death metal (emphasis on doom and super heavy).

There has been some pretty hardcore stuff in Fight Club Finland shows about a decade ago. The documentary however, showed this hipster looking weird mustached motherfucker promising his grandmother that it's all safe, so I don't see that guy (for instance) going too unhinged, I'm afraid.

  11. I saw in the local news on TV today that there had been a Finnish Pro Wrestling show in a town some 60 miles away from where I live. Promoted by the same guy who has been behind most Finnish pro wrestling in the past decade and a half.

There is also a documentary/ reality tv show about aspiring young pro wrestlers in Finland. That's another thing I wish I could tell the 1993 Shartnado, who would probably not believe that for a second.

    Weird times, indeed.

  12. Tonight was incline bench dumbell / hammer curl day. Started with the bench straight up and did a set of 5 with 79's. Then 2 sets with 88's, 5 and 6 reps, respectively. Then increased the incline of the bench by one notch and the seat one notch more upright and did 2 sets with 88's, 10 and 8, respectively. After that, I increased the incline by another notch and kept the seat at previous position. I did another 2 sets with 88's, 8 and 8 reps. There was also 7 sets of hammer curls one with the 79's and the rest with 88's. By the end those were looking pretty lame, considering what my forearms went through with the Trapbar last night. I also did 5 sets of narrow lat pull-downs to the front with resistance bands. Reduced version of ab work at the end.

Most likely that was the last "real" workout for me this year although I will try to do my best keeping up with home workouts and some cardio.

I will keep you posted on when I will fail to qualify as a cruiserweight, so far 204 and change has been the highest I've seen. Depending on what I will make for lunch/dinner for the rest of the week, it may not take that long.

  13. Finally up to speed with ROH and also watched the episode with Athena vs Kiera Hogan street fight.

I was upset that Josh Woods didn't qualify for Survival of the Fittest, but Fletcher getting in throws a monkeywrench into the gears of Dalton Castle being the obvious choice. I'm conflicted now. Glad to see Taya back and there's a match for Athena, once we see if Billie has what it takes!

  14. Rampage was fun, and Bryan vs Garcia was fire, but I had to give it 3 tries before seeing it all the way through because of night shift and falling back to sleep on the couch. Abadon getting things to do was also nice. Good showing by Matt Sydal (and Daniels) as usual.

Collision was a hell of a show! Eddie on the board! Claudio's tournament is not going great!

Willow vs Mercedes was good, but I was distracted by trying to figure out Diamante's awesome pants! Then got even more distracted with Statlander's bad ass outfit.

Kenny vs Ethan Page ended up being an excellent match. Big Bill trying to make sure the tag title match won't happen for awhile.

Wardlow with the same hair as last time trying to throw us off the scent was a nice touch. Willie Mack was game but trying to hit one of your big moves only to end up in the position for your opponent's best move was bad strategy.

Menard and Cool Hand getting a real entrance and a reaction to match their awesome theme was goosebumbs moment for me. The promo before the match and the short advancement of the Ruby-Cool Hand saga were a nice touch as well. I wonder if Anna Jay is slowly taking Toni's spot in what used to be The Outcasts? Too bad that 2.0 couldn't get the win, but I guess Penta & Kommander needed momentum for the upcoming trios match?

Main event was so bad ass! Very hard hitting. Too bad that the picture in picture parts were cut out of this episode. It happens some times on DAZN, maybe it's just on Rampage and Collision. Bryan fell victim to his harsh schedule, Andrade and Brody now on top of the food-chain.

A lot of interesting stuff all around.

  15. Trapbar this evening. Also tried the 88lb one arm dumbell overhead press and was able to get 1,5 reps with the right arm but only two half reps with the left.

Started with the deficit lifts, standing on two blocks. Warm up without gloves with 185 and 305, then 422. Then ran into trouble with 466 and had to put on gloves AND Versas to get it up from a smaller deficit. 500 off the smallest deficit and then it was off to the blocks.

Didn't try anything from the floor level. 610 off 3/4 blocks, 689,5 off 4/5 blocks and 742 off the full blocks. Then even the shoes came off for 789,5 and during my time off I came up with a way to  add another 11lbs on the bar, so I went for the record. 843,5 with a slightly questionable lock out, but I did get it up.

    Going back down I did 1x749, 3x654 and 7x559,5.

Then shrugs with 464.5 and 370, then I was desperately out of time.

  16. Need to watch the main event again, as I dozed off as usual since the couch is so comfy. Taurus' ring gear is so cool, and he looked to be in a fantastic shape. Mystesis jr kept showing crazy stuff. The ref work in many of the matches was such that it would have made my late grandfather totally lose his shit. He did not like bad officiating, at all!

This was a very interesting look at AAA talent and it's sponsors, as the commercials for products and companies were constantly displayed on the screen. One of them seemed to be for motor oil, or something similar.

Entertaining stuff and the tag matches gave it more Lucha flavor and also didn't burn any big singles matches on "free" tv. Vikingo vs Black Taurus one on one would be super!

  17. @Contentious C I assume that my Versa Gripps aren't extreme,, they are so old by now that extremes may be a newer design or material or whatever. I think mine are at least size M, so I can use gloves with wrist-wraps underneath the Versas. I think this has reduced their ability to dig into my wrists/skin. Yours being size S may render that option impossible or very impractical, but that's how I have been able to use them without too much issues. There is also the chance that the extreme versions are just somehow designed worse than the (most likely) regular ones.
