  1. Arn is very vibrant, out of control, and shocking.
  2. Retroactive armchair booking: Punk should have lost to Hangman first and the challenge again 3 months later at AEW’s WrestleMania, Quake by the Lake. Kingston should still lose to CM Punk and have his heart broken by others on that level. He is Kawada-Kobashi. Be an underdog until he full on man 04 Kobashi’s and spams glorious chops after winning in New York and we all cry. Back to reality: hopefully we don’t get childish shooty call outs if there isn’t an actual payoff to them. I do agree with @Matt D and @Casey. As long as this doesn’t lead to quitting or injured (which is a worry), AEW is better with Punk. Give me Punk in a feud with anyone that can talk and it’ll be good. Starks, Darby, Stokley, Samoa Joe, etc. OR Best of 7 Series against Danielson. The goal is an eventual Elite feud, but if it isn’t going to happen then it isn’t going to happen. Kenny vs Phil as the next HBK vs Hogan would be funny though.
  3. Punk gave Matt a GTS after Matt pulled a knife on a dog again.
  4. Great Pod but mental health is more important. I hope with the podcast ending he gets less twitter psychopaths harassing his family. Hopefully Matt Koon can strike gold again with a great host.
  5. If so, my dude Penta’s special meter would be unbeatable with the taunting.
  6. Are you guys telling me I was wasting my time joking about a Brand Split (instead of working) when there was this hot drama going on here I could have been reading (instead of working)?
  7. WHO GETS QUAKE BY THE LAKE THO?!!!!?!?!!???!!?!
  8. Dynamite gets Double or Nothing and Full Gear Collision gets Revolution and All Out. Rampage gets more TV Specials but isn’t big enough for a PPV Dark deserves nothing outside of @Matt D write ups RoH has its own PPV schedule Forbidden Door and All In (the years they do it) are shared.
  9. I like a 5 brand split. Dynamite - The Elite & friends Collision - CM Punk supporters Rampage - Not ready for prime time but still good DARK - NXT ROH - People that still keep in touch with Gabe
  10. Who are the Collision Six going to be?
  11. No shame in taking a well earned break, Former United States Secretary of State - Gordoleeza Rice. As a Minnesota Vikings fan, I’ve learned the painful reality of being brought joy by something that can regularly bring me pain. I’m with you on some of the storylines and characters not being up my alley, but I’m still yearning for more great matches and that’s the main reason to be an AEW fan. I’m a short period of time we got Omega vs Vikingo, Danielson vs MJF, Samoa Joe vs Darby Allin, Danielson vs Thatcher, Danielson vs Rush, maybe I have a crush on this Danielson guy! I don’t have Honor Club but I can have but assume Athena will likely had a Dax Harwood like year of excellence. Speaking of, FTR is back and hopefully they run the gamut of neat matchups. I respect your opinion and also wish I had a friend named Rod. You wanted a wrestling alternative and you don’t feel it’s living up to your expectations. Very fair! I agree with everyone that the brand split is dumb, but it’ll likely happen and I will joke endlessly about it.
  12. The dumb behind the scenes story about MJF buying a ticket got me to last minute buy that PPV. The wildness of Brawl Out was absolutely wild with the memes and bits on here. Knowing vague behind the scenes news added to Cody’s WWE return. Some of it can get annoying and kill the buzz, but in certain areas it actually increased my interest. I shall evoke him. *goes into bathroom and turns out the lights. Stares into the dimly lit mirror* … gordlow ….. GORD….low … *gulp …. @Gordlow
  13. I don’t know if I should post this here or not because it isn’t current. I watched Devil Masami vs Chigusa Nagayo from 85 (the longer version) and hot dang that was excellent. My kind of wrestling! Such great grappling. Every position fought for and every move and strike felt earned. Absolutely perfect. As a tribute Like when I posted screen shots of Yuji Okabayashi vs Daisuke Sekimoto grappling, here are pics of Devil Masami and Chigusa Nagayo’s struggle! Fantastic match. Low quality video but I was so excited throughout. There’s a shorter version on YouTube but I recommend dig for the full version
  14. On land, I’m kind of just flat. Due to the lack of bones. But underwater I can wrestle with the best of them.
  15. Sooo… WrestleMania X ended with Bret Hart having faced (and lost to) Owen Hart and then beating Yokozuna. WrestleMania XX ended with Chris Benoit (celebrating with Eddie Guerrero) after beating HHH & HBK. WrestleMania XXX ended with Daniel Bryan (after beating and then being attacked by HHH) defeated Batista & Randy Orton. Which top notch technical workhorse will win the main event at WrestleMania XL and which two superstars will he face?
  16. Still thinking about it, but MJF vs Danielson might be one of my all time favorite matches. So much about it fits what I love about wrestling.
  17. Weekly: WrestleTalk (the AEW episodes) FTR w/ Dax Foley is Pod Stories w/ Bradshaw and Briscoe Depending on Guests or wrestling events Sessions w/ Rene Paquette Talk is Jericho Instinct Culture by Denise Salcedo Swerve City Podcast Maybe bring back into the rotation Arn
  18. Maybe not post worthy, but did a quick phone edit to fix how blown out the pic was. Gotta see Taker’s mouth.
  19. I have no idea what Jericho’s future would be or what he’d want to do. He’s pretty creative and if taken out of the physical wrestling picture, could he come up with the new reinvention or popular phrase for someone else? He always says he notices when something unintentionally gets over, if he can do that from behind the scenes to help other talent, that could be huge. Based off of his podcasts, he likes to cite the ideas he has that influence larger gimmicks or storylines. Money in the Bank ladder match is an example of this. Could the come up with that without the motivation of thinking of ways to get himself over or be a part of something cool? If so, he could be a very influential member of a creative team. I could see him (and this is from the perspective as a podcast listener, I of course don’t know him) stepping away when he is no longer able to physically perform and switch to a new or previous avenue to be the performer he loves being. More music, maybe acting, going heavier into the podcast platform, etc. This brings me to a fun thought exercise: I just got off the phone with Tony Khan and he needs our help! He wants to start a creative team to help with booking and storyline ideas. If you could assemble Five members of either the AEW Roster or known staff members to be in the Creative Team, who would you choose? The fate of AEW is in your hands.
