  1. It’s funny, in a GWE discussion I would both take a point away and give a point to Danielson from this performance. For a MOTN likely Omega v Osprey. Ideological differences maybe stirring up in my belly with mixed feelings, but I was wiggling my legs like crazy. Very exciting stuff. It won’t be my MOTY but I can’t deny my wiggles.
  2. Speaking of Tanahashi, great job MJF! Both men, really. That match was a lot of fun, a great opener, and we got my love of taunts. A solid opener and now AEW and MJF have footage they can use forever of Tanahashi battling for the title.
  3. I loved so much about this match. A lot of it work and even the shift after the injury was interesting in retrospect to see how they changed things on the fly. I feel it likely would be more enjoyable as a vacuum watch or surprisingly mid show. Granted, without the injury we would have seen the pace slowly rise and give it that big main event feel in the end. It was exciting seeing the slower pace be so captivating for a tired audience. If we didn’t get that injury, do we not get the realism of the seizure or even that seizure at all (idk, we’ve gotten it before)? I think it was good and will likely be categorized as a Cactus Jack vs Sabu - Of Mice and Men match. Hopefully they play it back with Danielson returning the favor.
  4. Very likely a poor decision to buy time. Timeline wise. But very much Boy who cried Wolf because he’s done this before, but with the actual injury this time felt more real. Until I sort this out, Danielson is in timeout. Terry Funk is my GOAT. ALL HAIL GOAT FUNK!
  5. Also, it was the elbow off the top that injured Bryan
  6. Danielson says his injury changed the last 10ish minutes of the match.
  7. For me the issue is on top of the seizure spot, the production of grabbing a doctor and having the momentum stop. It’s more than too realistic of selling off of traumatic history but also the show of it itself. Like is it a planned moment or the ref acting accordingly not being in on the bit?
  8. Home. Likely PPV of the year. Really enjoyed it. I’ll likely go the theater route again. We had a scare of technical difficulties that made me miss half the CM Punk match, but smooth the rest of the time. Not a bad match on the show. LOVED the Elitestonii vs BCC+. Kingston instinctually saving Mox even after their chop off was a nice touch. Takeshita came off like a star and Shota is money! 4 way was a blast. Plenty of fun moments. I’m loving OC’s title reign. I could have gotten past the seizure sell if there was more match afterwards. Still shocked by the submission, hopefully leads to more from them. I love Suzuki.
  9. First half was a big fan of the Okada v Danielson but that seizure spot was stupid. Won back a tired crowd with a Yes chant but then the submission (although built to early with the arm and shoulder work) didn’t really get a reaction. I like the tap spot in that I’m still shocked by it. But it didn’t land. Will type more when I get home.
  10. Juice Robinson has that zany early AEW Ortiz energy and I’m all for it!!!
  11. You don’t know how Minnesota sports fans work The term is AVATAR Syndrome, Aggravated Vikings Anticipatory Traumatic Abandonment Syndrome EDIT FOR CONTEXT: @John from Cincinnati
  12. Lol, CM Punk might be my favorite thing in wrestling right now (?)
  13. Finally watched Jun Kasai vs El Desperado from last year. Great stuff, MOTYC.
  14. I have a similar set up as Sandy in SpongeBob, but instead of air it’s water. I flatten a bit in the seat, but thick enough I can still grab a bear and get comfortable.
  15. which spot? Thinking between the two orange ones —- EDIT: I went with the closet one. Enough people in my Brain Trust recommended that. I pray the exit is on that side.
  16. So I narrowed down the theater that has a bar in it. Do I go for optimal viewing seating or ideal getting up to grab another drink seating?
  17. I’m wondering if I go, is it proper movie theater etiquette or is it fun have my phone out so I can derp on the discord feel?
  18. Friends! Is going to a movie theater screening of an AEW PPV a fun outing? Anyone here recommend the experience?
  19. So I got a jazz record playing, belt tied around my arm, leaned back in a nice comfy chair, and a lava lamp ready to be stared at. Inject this Hot Goss into my veins, Daddy Meltzer.
  20. All hail weekly Elite. All hail weekly Elite. (until we get Quake by the Lake 2, then it will be a golden pinned separate thread and followed by a series of subsections commemorating its glory until Quake by the Lake 3)
  21. My favorite part is Eddie thinking Uno is an alien.
