It's gotta be pretty cool to be a guy like Blake Christian and find out "Hey, you're wrestling Mistico and get to take like 60% of the match" Omega went damn near full Charlie with the blood capsules and I respect it. Nice to see Tay back but she badly needs a new finisher. Play up the judo background and give her a cool scarf choke or something. I liked Hanger's tribute to this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QODD6RqIAQ Skipped the last two hours but might go back for Bandido/Mortos

How long 'til Thibs gets a "U up?" text?

Yeah, that's where I'm at, too. Losing pets sucks, but it's outweighed by the joy I get from them. Thankfully James is doing real well right now. The big thing with kidney disease is that they'll quit eating, but he's still got a good appetite and will come and yowl at me every time I'm in the kitchen until I give him some goo and/or some carnitas. He is going to get so insanely spoiled in the time he's got left. Our other 19 year old cat, Simon, is mostly blind, mostly deaf, and has dementia but is otherwise healthy and content to spend entire days sleeping in my wife's lap.

Dallas has officially denied them permission to talk to Kidd. I'm starting to think James Dolan might not be a master tactician.

There's a fascinating alternate universe where Pulp Fiction is Phoebe Cates' last role before she retires instead of Princess Caraboo. All of his choices for Butch feel insanely wrong.
-
We found out today that his kidney disease has progressed and we're probably going to have to say goodbye very soon. Man, fuck this.

I finally found something our 19 year old cat will eat regularly and it's fucking carnitas.

If you don't look like this after you explain Hawkgirl's history then you have done a poor job https://i.imgur.com/LjKM5Li.jpeg

One of the jokes in the 30 Rock finale is that Jenna and Tracy come up with the idea for a movie called Heads of State, where they play conjoined twins, one of which is a "sexy 20-something president" and the other is a "down on his luck but muscular Santa Claus." That sounds better than this.

It's a no-rope shootstyle/amateurstyle promotion founded by Koki Kitahara. It's kind of like FUTEN in that almost nothing gets taped or released so there's not much footage out there. The shows that are available are on internet archive so you can get an idea of the vibe: https://archive.org/details/capture-international-2002.08.12

The Talking Head played their first show 50 years ago today, so in celebration they released a music video for Psycho Killer starring Saoirse Ronan directed by Mike Mills https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJ54eImz88w

I think with Hawkgirl and Gardner they fell into the trap of trying to make them look too much like their comics/cartoon appearance instead of someone who might exist in the 'real' world. Also I saw a post from some DC Account about "Read about Hawkgirl's background in comics before you see Superman" and I cannot emphasize enough what a terrible idea that is if you want them to ever pick up a comic book.

Gotta figure Bud gets a look, too.

That would be Justin "The 1-2-3 Boy" "The Big Red Machine" Starr

"Thibs is Scott Skiles 2.0" theory staying undefeated.

Yeah, I always saw the figure four as a too-fancy kneebar on the straight leg. Anyway, I found a British guy on cagematch who did both a fake Kane and fake 1-2-3 Kid gimmick and if that's not range I don't know what is. E: There was also a guy called "Fake Scotty 2 Hotty." Love it, does exactly what it says on the tin.

It's even worse: Joss' husband posted his account of the shooting and said it was a targeted attack from a homophobic neighbor who had been harassing them and allegedly burned their house down. Fuck, man.
-
Jonathan Joss, who voiced John Redcorn on King of the Hill and played Ken Hotate on Parks and Rec, was fatally shot by his neighbor after an argument. He was 59. Goddamn, that is just terrible

Alf Clausen, the composer who scored the Simpsons for more than 20 years, died yesterday at age 84.

Is Dick Togo the most versatile wrestler of all time? If not him, who?

It's not the dispensaries: most payment processors won't handle weed payments since it's still illegal federally.

Man, I really need to find a time to make a run to the U.P. soon.
