  1. Brian Pillman v. Badstreet (Brad Armstrong) from the September '91 Clash is a real hidden gem. Where does Brad Armstrong fall on everybody's list of underrated wrestlers?
  2. No, he asked about top running backs.
  3. Are there any top running backs left outside of McCoy? CJ, but he splits time with Freddy. . .
  4. Now that I am done with the lucha set, I'm looking forward to the next set which sounded like it had an October date. We still looking at Portland or Puerto Rico?
  5. Just turned in my ballot. Thought I should bump this in case anybody is looking for the info:
  6. I imagine he would lose any remaining custody of the child. I'm not sure if that would affect the custody of any of his other children.
  7. I'll add this about the Bash '91: the show is a complete abomination. Easily one of the worst booked shows I've ever seen. Some matches went way too long, others too short. I imagine somebody lost their job after this. When did Watts come in? Late 91 or early 92?
  8. Remember the Stonehenge scene from Spinal Tap? That's how I feel about the scaffold match at the '91 Bash. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_hKvv_muX1CRUtLWjNKM2Y0OTQ/edit?usp=sharing
  9. I'll get in late on this: Sunday, September 14 Miami at Buffalo Detroit at Carolina Atlanta at Cincinnati New Orleans at Cleveland New England at Minnesota Arizona at NY Giants Dallas at Tennessee Jacksonville at Washington Seattle at San Diego St. Louis at Tampa Bay Kansas City at Denver NY Jets at Green Bay Houston at Oakland Chicago at San Francisco Monday, September 15 Philadelphia at Indianapolis Tiebreaker #1: Jay Cutler passing yards 201 Tiebreaker #2: Over/Under 50 points in Jets/Green Bay Under Tiebreaker #3: Antonio Gates receiving yards 51
  10. Jesus Christ, when did Adrian Peterson turn into Grandpa Simpson? I can't see how something deemed by two experts as child abuse does not result in a season-long suspension.
  11. Clash XV, Knocksville USA: towards the end of the Steiners-Hase/Chono match when the Hardliners run in, the original feed disappears and is replaced with somebody's VHS copy. Speculate: what happened to the original feed here and where did the WWE steal their VHS copy from?
  12. YES~! Is this how Lee Scott got a job as a referee? Because he was a really terrible referee.
  13. So Marc Trestman is basically the exact opposite of Lovie Smith.
  14. The first ten minutes of the Bears' telecast made about as much sense as this reply.
  15. The Black Scorpion angle may be my least favorite WCW angle ever. Did they actually think they would be able to get the Ultimate Warrior under contract by Starrcade 1990? The Sting/Al Perez (as Scorpion) match at the Clash XII is just so ridiculous: the "Scorpion" gets in a ton of offense before losing quickly to a Stinger splash, only to reveal that the real Scorpion (played by Ole Anderson?) is standing on the entrance ramp. So it took Sting (the World's champ) ten minutes to defeat an impostor??? Clash XII is such an f'ed up show. Kevin Nash looked like Lou Thesz compared to the other Master Blaster, Bobby Fulton's little brother, and some team called Maximum Overdrive jobbing to the Steiners and the top rope DDT(!). Also, Ric Flair is on the card in Asheville and the place is half empty.
  16. Might of missed it, but Bundy's Wrestlemania II match with Hogan is underrated IMO. He also avalanched Little Beaver at WM III. Kind of obvious, but c'mon guys...
  17. I've watched the first seven SNMEs. All are worth watching. Well booked, excellently produced one hour blocks of television. I really miss the original soundtrack though.
  18. Most (I would guess half) of this content has been up on their old WWE Classics web service, which discontinued a couple of years ago. Then again, I'm no technical wiz so there's probably more work involved than I could guess. I'm still satisfied with the amount of content. It would take me a year or two just to get through what is available right now.
  19. Speaking of the Iron Sheik: watching the Great American Bash 1990, in his match with Rotunda, his belly button is officially an outie. How much beer would he have been drinking on a daily basis for this to happen? It's quite disgusting.
  20. Please watch Barry Windham vs. Doug Furnas from Clash XI and tell me that isn't one of the best carry-jobs of all time. Actually, the entire Clash XI card is really fun: Pillman/Mean Mark, Midnights/Rock 'n Roll, and Anderson/Orndorff.
  21. If you're going to post half a dozen giant-ass pics (and they are pretty awesome), please use spoiler tags. Thanks!
  22. Watching Clash of the Champions V: Does the opening bout between the Midnights and the Russian Assassins have a finish? It seems to just go to commercial break. Did I miss something?
  23. I've never bought the "humiliate Dusty" stuff. Tons of mic time, awesome entrance music, decent push for a 40+ year old guy. If Vince wanted to bury him, he would have. Or he would have never brought him in in the first place.
  24. I apologize if this is more of a fantasy booking than a "what if" question: What if the WWF pairs Dusty Rhodes with Hulk Hogan going into the SummerSlam '89 main event against Savage and Zeus? They were already gearing up for a Rhodes/Savage feud at Wrestlemania VI and Rhodes was over from day one. Obviously, Beefcake got the payday because he's buddies with Hogan, but a Hogan/Rhodes team seems look it would have generated even bigger PPV buys/attendance.
  25. Watching some '88 and '89 WCW PPVs: Jim Ross keeps mentioning that Sting was trained in California by Red Bastien. Did he mean to say Rick Bassman? Was that a Freudian slip? The post-match brawl for Funk-Flair at the '89 Bash is about the greatest I've ever seen: gets Muta and Sting over and perfectly sets up the Halloween Havoc main event.
