I missed so much weird stuff from 1997 Raw the first time it aired: The 4th member of the Truth Commission, Tank (Mantaur under a mask). Jim Cornette managing the Headhunters for one week (aborted feud with the Headbangers). Uncle Cletus Godwin (Tony Anthony). The Patriot's brief main event run is probably the strangest of all.

On the 6/16/97 Raw, Vince and JR are throwing around names as they guess the newest member of the Nation. They name Butch Reed, the Junkyard Dog and...Abdullah the Butcher.

I'm a pretty casual fan at this point but the Shane/Taker storyline seems ridiculous. I guess I just feel bad for Taker. Great career, Wrestlemania in his home state, and he has to work with a guy that isn't a wrestler in the first place and hasn't had a match in a decade. I just can't get excited for that.

I'm glad Hebner burned his bridge. Watching 90s episodes of Raw, I've reached the conclusion that he is my least favorite referee ever. Worse than Teddy Long. Atrocious.

Even Soldier Field is small. I think it seats 67000 for a football game, smallest in the league. As far as the Midwest goes, I could see WWE doing a large show in either St. Louis, Milwaukee, or Minneapolis.

Are you thinking of early 90s Windy City when Heyman was booking? That was definitely on Sports Channel. 2001 or 2002 Windy City aired on WJYS and was largely terrible. I remember RVD worked a show after ECW closed.

Does anybody think Rick Martel shouldn't be in? AWA champ, many times a tag champ, TV champ during that great 1997 comeback, great character/gimmick, and always good in the ring. Seems to have as good of a resume as many guys that are already in. I would put him in this year and let Tyler Breeze induct him (or Tito or Garea).

Watching the Nasties/Cactus/Payne/Sullivan matches from the 94 PPVs: those guys were so damn reckless. So many ridiculous unprotected head shots. Knobbs forgot how to take a belly to belly at Superbrawl 94 and was lucky he wasn't paralyzed (he seemed to only break his arm or dislocate his shoulder).

I stand corrected. BHM isn't showing up on my PS3. I'm also not seeing any 1993 Raws. Not sure why those would be removed.
