  1. I never realized that Dwight "Lt. Barclay" Schultz was the voice of Navigator Pressley. The voice of Harbinger was also kind of surprising, although how many teenagers remember the tv show The Equalizer or Keith Szarabajka in it?
  2. Has anybody heard on what is being planned for the next season of 30 for 30? I know that the guy who did that documentary about LeBron James' senior high school season is doing an episode about the long-suffering fans of Cleveland and the 49 years they've had to endure without a World Championship, but otherwise I haven't heard anything. I would have to image they'll be doing an episode about the Penn State scandal and maybe something about the Florida A&M Marching 100 hazing scandal that led to a student being beaten to death on a tour bus
  3. It's going to be hilarious watching FOX hope and pray that Tiger gets his "mojo" back, and when he doesn't and just gets older and shittier and doesn't win any more majors poor Fox will be stuck trying to push Rory and co. as their ratings continue to fall.
  4. One thing I don't like about Bendis is that he uses a lot of "body language" in his stories, and I'm absolutely terrible at interpreting it. In Guardians of the Galaxy, are we supposed to think that the sex between Gamora and Tony was mindblowing and now Tony is upset by Gamora's coldness, or was the sex supposed to be cold and mechanical and now Tony is upset about that?
  5. Anybody know what Dave Crockett's attitude towards the WWE is these days? Would he be willing to do some stuff for a DVD or 24/7?
  6. How many more of these 9 for 9 documentaries are left?
  7. At least Capaldi is actually older than 50-year old Alex Kingston. Not that I'm against "older woman/younger guy" romances, but they were pushing it given that Kingston was old enough to be Matt Smith's mother.
  8. It probably also doesn't help the number of episodes per season keeps getting smaller under Moffat. Good, so Capaldi will have a few weeks rest before going in to film The Thick of It season five (six?).
  9. Yet they're still better than the Jaguars, Broncos, Titans, Bengals, Cardinals, and Seahawks uniforms.
  10. They might as well just make the 13th a white male and have the 1st Doctor of the inevitable reboot be a female/transgender/openly gay minority.
  11. To me a "ballsy move" would have been a black or British-Indian woman as the new Doctor. Particularly since never in the history of Doctor Who has the ability of Time Lords/Ladies to change their sex ever even been hinted at. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who_and_the_Curse_of_Fatal_Death Written by Steven Moffat, no less. Seriously, Doctor Who is probably the epitome of the "we're just making this shit up as we go along" sci-fi franchise. Anyways, my irritation over the lack of a minority/woman not being cast aside, I am still very happy that Capaldi is getting the gig and will look forward to his run.
  12. How the hell have we gone three pages with no one mentioning a Mad Dog O'Malley or Cueball Carmichael match? I know a lot of you guys used to go to MEWF shows.

  14. Well, at least he's gonna be really easy to cosplay as.
  15. Becauase most fans prefer to watch at home rather than trudge out to the stadium. Baseball execs (and even football execs) don't seem to realize that and think that eventually things will go back to the Indians 455 sellout streak for all teams rather than the new reality of all teams permanently playing to half-empty stadiums as the majority of their fans watch on TV.
  16. So, judging by his Twitter feed, I think Jeph Jacques' fans are starting to tire of the amazing adventures of Dale and his holo-companion May.
  17. Please, God, let episode #100 be Frank Welker.
  18. That's what I meant. He was 29 in the season two finale, which would have made Ann 34. And her response when the poor resort to to crime to survive?

  20. Have they ever mentioned on the show how old Anne Perkins is supposed to be, or if she's supposed to be the same age as Rashida Jones did they ever acknowledge the age difference between her and Chris Pratt? Also, I just started dating a girl whose political views are more libertarian than Ron Swanson. She's basically "we need to end all government support for the poor. You either get a job and support yourself or you literally starve to death." I'm scared to break up with her because she's so psycho.
  21. Samoa Joe as Eddie's bodyguyard in the ROH version of "Hot Stuff International." He would never speak or even hold the ROH 'World' Title. He'd just stare at the camera menacingly while Eddie did rambling interviews talking about how he (Eddie) is the greatest Pure champion in ROH history.
  22. I also could see Eddie as a (much) older version of Steve Corino, conning various money marks into funding his indy promotions that run two or three shows and then fall apart and "fold" only for Eddie to launch a "new" promotion with the exact same cast of flunkies. And in-between he cons a Japanese indy into booking him as their lead foreigner and shows up in ROH every 2-3 years as leader of a heel group that starts off promisingly but then also falls apart.
  23. I could totally see Eddie fucking Angel or Peaches, or banging Lady Alexandria and then getting stabbed to death by Damian Kane.
