  1. Based on the pop culture time warp Vince is stuck in this would've been around the time he heard CW McCall's Convoy. Vader could have been a long-haul trucker. Vince, misunderstanding the lyrics, brings in an actual bear for Vader to feud with. Much better than his actual WWF run.
  2. Some newz sites didn't even update the story that it wasn't caused by the 619 until about 8 hours after everyone on here already knew. It's going to end up being an urban legend because it's a digestible anecdote, which sucks.
  3. I imagine zombie Taker on a bike looking like Lobo, and now it must happen.
  4. You know, if they had taken the tangential connections to the first one out and called it something else, Grease 2 would be much more fondly remembered. I'll see myself out.
  5. Only really knew Perro by reputation, but from what I saw he seemed pretty great. Really tragic, and yes, the video is horrifying and Rey staring at him while he's pinning Manik is haunting.
  6. I'm pretty sure Cornette also has a ton of Memphis on tape in good quality, and whoever owns it would have to go through him to retrieve a lot of footage.
  7. I haven't seen the show before (no El Rey here). I liked Muertes/Fenix a lot, but the This Is Awesome chants were awful here. I don't mind it in spotfests or competitive technical matches, but in a nasty lucha blood feud blowoff where the technico appears to be being murdered in the ring, it doesn't belong. They deserved a crowd more like the one from Spud/ECIII.
  8. He's got Yoga Hosers with his and Depp's daughters and Depp coming out this year. He's shooting Clerks 3 over the summer. Then in the fall he's shooting his hockey miniseries Hit Somebody for AMC, I believe. Then next year he's shooting Moose Jaws and the Krampus movie. Then Mallrats 2. Pretty productive stoner. Whether any of it'll be good is another thing, but I'm still on team Kev.
  9. Hunter wants the rest of the Kliq in, and because of the old "one jockstrap mask per year" rule, next year will be Aldo Montoya, then Vader after that.
  10. I've actually seen some of that! Definitely doing it as soon as we can. My favorite cameo is Bob Dylan making conceptual chainsaw art.
  11. Can we all at least agree he needs a shirt circa the 90s gear as opposed to singlet/tights that accentuate his "perfectly normal but not a great look" old man body?
  12. The NWA invasion angle they ran in 98 was one of my favorite "throw it out there and see if it sticks" moves they made during early Attitude Era. I wish that had taken off.
  13. We've stuck to more well-known stuff so far, but I can't wait to get to deep pulls like stuff with Tweed and Whirry. The highlight so far was Nancy Allen listening to our episode on Dressed to Kill and politely taking us to task on Twitter for getting trivia wrong.
  14. As a longtime lurker I mostly stuck to the wrestling/movie threads. I've more recently looked in threads like "Son of a..." and I've seen so many posters that have made me laugh and made great insights here that are dealing with heavy stuff. It reminds me that there are real people behind the user names. I'm appreciative that people dealing with stress, illness and heartbreak go on with good humor and make funny and interesting posts that entertain me while I deal with my own stuff. To everyone on the board, whatever you're going through I wish you the best.
  15. I have a movie review/comedy podcast called Sexy Time Theater. We watch erotic thrillers, mostly from the 80s and 90s, in an effort to determine if the movies we saw on late night cable twenty years ago were actually sexy. Hope you check it out and enjoy. https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/sexy-time-theater/id963407850 http://sexytimetheater.podbean.com/
  16. If that Cash song isn't his entrance music I'll be pissed. If it's not replaced by Katy Perry's Roar during the NBC replay special...also pissed.
  17. Anarchy Rulz because Big Dust Rulz, daddy!
  18. Hulu put up the first four (and probably only) episodes of Tommy Wiseau's sitcom The Neighbors. It's way less competent and coherent than even The Room. It has all of the absurdity you'd suspect, and if you want to see non-actors try to improv through bizarre setups with no actual jokes this is the show for you. It's also pretty racist and sexist, but it seems to come from a place of genuine ignorance and tone deafness from Wiseau, who seems to have no idea how human beings interact. The set design is astounding; it's like he read about Breaking Bad using colors as a theme and integrated that in the most one-dimensional way possible. A blonde female character who only wears pink bikinis has a completely pink apartment decorated with a flat-screen TV they sloppily painted pink and one of those pink blowup electric guitars you can win at carnivals. The scenes are bridged together by the same still shot of B-roll and the same public domain synth music (this happens about 12 times in each episode). Wiseua plays two characters, both in terrible wigs, who behave and sound exactly the same. If you like so-bad-it's-good then it's totally worth a look, but it's honestly so insane it might be too much even for fans of The Room.
  19. "Let's do the Thelma and Louise ending!"
  20. Truth had real potential to move up in the rap industry at the time, but he was too afraid to climb the ladder.
  21. As everyone's said, winning doesn't do much for Bray. He's already been exposed by working and talking too much anyway, and he's been aimless for most of the last year. I've warmed to the idea of Taker being called out and doing the old gunslinger thing, streak or no streak. Hopefully we'll get a decent match this year and something special for the expected retirement match at 32.
  22. I'm really surprised the match isn't for control of WWE matchmaking. I thought we'd see Sting as a face authority figure...you know for like a week.
  23. I'm disappointed we haven't gotten a rehash of HHH's awesome troll video from last year highlighting the Steiner, Goldberg, and Booker feuds.
  24. Bret pulling a Clint Eastwood/Marty McFly on Goldberg and the promo preceding is the one genuinely great moment Bret got in WCW.
  25. Guys, you're talking about card placement, but the important thing is Bryan's inevitable anthropomorphic turd with a beard shirt is going to sell like hot cakes!
