  1. Soooo, what's the context of this shirt Sakura Hirota is sporting?
  2. Ramon Sessions, come on down! Man, the Wizards have had some shitty luck with injuries through the years and now Wall is likely done.
  3. That shit don't work that way!
  4. That series had a two day layoff. Two 3-0 series playing out tonight and no NBA playoffs. After being spoiled with a gluttony of games to choose every night, this feels like a shitty sports night.
  5. Travis Yost talks about dwindling scoring, the rise of goaltending, scoring chances and power plays in the post-season. Good article though I think he took a soft stance with his conclusion. It speaks to a bunch of the things we've talked about in this thread.
  6. I'm inclined to agree with you. These has been some really awful, low event hockey that's hard to watch as a neutral. Some flashes of brilliance but fuuuuuck, the flow of play is dreadful. Of course, as I type that, there's end to end action with wide open chances. *shrug*
  7. Holy shit, Drake Berehowsky is still in the league?!
  8. This is a hideous start for both teams. Terrible interior and fast break passing. "Bowling shoe ugly."
  9. The February match-up between Atlanta and Golden State was a great, great game. Atlanta's clearly fallen off a step since then but I would love to see two high-tempo teams go at it. The Clips and Warriors in the conference finals is the best possible series to come out of these playoffs. I needs it.
  10. So wrong... yet sums up kinect/eye so well... Do we finally get some Fallout news?
  11. game time decision. Is it worth the risk to lose him for the entire series by playing him tonight? Not that playing him in game 2 is without risk but 3 days off would be beneficial.
  12. Granlund is pronounced Grahnloont in Finnish, he's pretty spot on.
  13. People are dumb. My only surprise take-away was Manny's lack of aggression when he had Floyd in the corner. He would throw a 3-4 punch combination before backing up and letting Mayweather out. It's no wonder Manny hasn't been able to knock anybody out in 5+ years. He was best fighting at around 122-130 pounds and now he's all the way up to 145. He's moved up way too much to be able to keep his incredible (relative) power. His legacy should be built around the fact he moved up and won championships in 8 weight classes. That's incredible and he's a freak. I feel like going back and watching his fights with Juanma and Morales.
  14. What's the best place to keep up with PC mods?
  15. It is a privilege to watch Alexander Ovechkin play hockey. Holy shitsnacks!
  16. Yeah, and it was all started with AV's favorite transition: the stretch pass tipped into the zone. Worked perfectly.
  17. By two points. And the Flames had more wins. And made it further in the playoffs (not that that counts towards the Jack Adams, but still). And we'll see who does better against Anaheim (the Flames can't possibly do any worse). But anyway, I'm not saying Hartley is a shoo-in, just that I don't see how anyone could argue against him being one of the favourites. Yes, they can. They can lose 3 more games like last night. Each game of the Jets series except the clincher was close. Next year, stats point towards Winnipeg improving a bit and Calgary likely regressing next year. Too many players had shooting percentages that are completely unsustainable, particularly Hudler and the top line.
  18. How badly does their rebounding and inside defense suffer with that set-up relative to when they have both Blake and DJ on the court? Blake has really matured the past year or so in terms of his offensive game. As Barkley mentions all the time though, his low-post game can get way better if he adds some consistent finesse moves rather than relying on backing guys down all the time. I've really enjoyed the three games I've seen of the series. Last night's was way more entertaining than the hack-a-Jordan fest in game... 4? It was pretty funny listening to Reggie and Harlan shit all over that game.
  19. I think he's the right choice anyway. That Nashville team looks so thin on paper but they were one of the powerhouses of the league and it would've been really interesting to see how the Chicago series would've played out had Weber not been injured.
  20. Who betta dan Chicagoooooo? I can't even see the best eastern teams beating Anaheim or perhaps even Minny. Minnesota vs. New York or Washington would be close I think. But then again, I know nothing and the bracket challenge proves that. Edit: 4-0, Calgary's got 'em right where they want 'em!
  21. Pretty much. The Canucks and Flames were so much weaker than the other teams in the west. I'm not a big fan of the east still and I think Vancouver might've beaten a team or two over there but your point is still really solid.
