  1. Prichard's show has really grown on me. Once you learn to tune out his WWE bias (he's really soft on them, to the point of outright lying) and his irrational Meltzer hatred, it's a fine show. You have to take the good with the bad. I think I'll pass this week, though. I've heard so much XFL talk lately that the shows are starting to blend together. Thompson also hosts a show with Shchiavone and the debut episode was damn good. Tony's got a great sense of humor about himself and his place in wrestling and it's funny to hear him drop f bombs. It's an acquired taste, but I'm bummed that seemingly nobody else here except @Sammo~!, I think, listens to Marty & Sarah Love Wrestling.
  2. Brown tights, cowboy boots, and cute lil' pageboy haircut. It's like I walked into the Blue Oyster Bar accidentally.
  3. Wrestling's weird relative scale of what is "safe" is always laughable. Catching the rope under your armpits and across your chest is "safe." So it's cool to do it to break a 6-8' fall from a ladder.
  4. LOL Ocean City is probably the only pace I've ever seen Big Dog shirts
  5. He probably doesn't have "Big Dog" merch because there's already a "Big Dog" t-shirt and clothing company loved by Wal Mart people everywhere. So WWE probably can't secure the trademark for clothing.
  6. Yeah, Bauer actually unloaded on the last show and mentioned that Joe Koff and Delirious have a "father son relationship," so Delirious is going to book as long as he wants to or at least as long as Koff is there. He also said Delirious did away with Sullivan because he was paranoid that Sullivan might threaten his spot (LOL Sullivan is 70 he doesn't want that shit). if those two sentences sound counter to each other, congrats, you're not a paranoid, insecure doofus. Also, Sullivan gave good advice and mentoring and was well liked by everybody, and Delirious didn't like that either. My God, ROH is really a shitshow right now.
  7. It's hard to stalk babysitters and promiscuous teens with mariachi horns blaring all the time
  8. Yeah, I'm sure the fact that dad was a massive Jesus freak evangelical Christian who endorsed far-right and anti-gay organizations had nothing to do with it. I bet being gay and living in that household was just peachy. Was it cruel for me to say? You're right, I should have tempered it a bit more than just saying "likely." But come on.
  9. The guy most likely drove his gay son to suicide, there's nothing irrational about disliking him.
  10. God damn, no wonder Sting turned dark and brooding shortly after this. There's a point in the gif where you can see his soul leave his body.
  11. I've never been to a Golden Corral but it strikes me as the kind of place that doesn't ask how you want your steak cooked, as their usual clientele always wants it well done anyway. I like Cracker Barrel but I've only ever had eggs and pancakes there. I took Lance's advice and got the blueberry pancakes but with regular maple syrup, because I agree blueberry pancakes WITH blueberry syrup is just too fucking much blueberry.
  12. Disco is just Russo Lite. He probably feels indebted to Russo for his only real push so he has to back up his buddy's awful philosophy, arguing in favor of "work doesn't matter, bro, just good stories" at every opportunity. Lance calling out his "I don't watch Japanese wrestling but I know I don't like it" was phenomenal.
  13. They were going to try that in NXT at one point It's not a motorcycle, baby, it's a chopper
  14. Dalton and the Boys had a pretty good match in PWG
  15. Probably the same move but with a 100% less racist name. Ed Whalen probably just called it a "Judo Kick."
  16. Counterpoint: here is Star Man doing the honors as he rightfully should: Playing as *FH* took timing and skill. Star Man players just spammed flying cross chops.
  17. Bad News' enzugiri > bullshit "hold my leg while I kick you" enzugiris (sorry, Owen Hart, a fact's a fact) Bad News is on some straight Fighter Hayabusa level shit, unfuckwithable
  18. So when do the "reboot" episodes air? I could maybe get into that.
  19. Cool, thanks a lot for the info. I'll probably check it out next time I'm in a strange city for work with nothing else to do. I really enjoyed Lords of Salem as well. The plot was pretty thin but it was heavy enough on style that it didn't feel like I wasted my time. Rob's gotta stop casting Sheri Moon in his films, though, unless in a minor role. She's just not an actress and can't carry a lead.
  20. I really regret being a 17 year old dirtbag too hung over to go see the Simmons win. A friend called me asking if I wanted to go see the show at the Baltimore Arena but I'd gotten a little too friendly with the cheap vodka the night before.
  21. I feel like he keeps trying other things because he's really insecure and desperate to be seen as more than just a wrestling promoter. Somewhere deep down, he really hates pro wrestling and hates that it's the only thing he's good at. That's just my Sidney M. Basil armchair analysis.
