First three matches were top notch. The opener wasn't the cleanest but was just straight up fun as hell, so the perfect match for that spot. Dream/Riddle was stiff as hell and then Walter and Dunne upped the ante even further. I'm good on Gargano Epics basically forever. Tonight was full blown Johnny God Mode.

I can’t hate too much on 3, 6, Macho/Liz and I’m Sorry I Love You being on the front. But, uh, 15? And yes the style is good in theory but poor in execution. Better to not have “Wrestlemania” on there at all and those that get it, get it.

That ending was amazing. Retconning all of the evil undead pro wrestling gimmicks to originate from a single source, with Kevin Sullivan at the helm no less, is some top notch shit. I presume Kevin got the promotion from Taskmaster when King Curtis died. Think of the possibilities! Now we know where Bray Wyatt has been this whole time.

I will say again that IMO the right play was to send Harper down to Full Sail as the visiting ace (the Cesaro role), win the title and defend in a few classics until they had something for him, then drop it to Riddle, leaving after a few months as a reinvented and reinvigorated guy with a new wave of traveling/internet fan base hype.

I do agree that the post-WM Raw being all sentimental and Revolution-y at the end only for clown face Asuka to show up and justifiably beat the living hell out of everyone is one way to right the ship after WM. Move her and Becky to Raw to feud there, Charlotte to SD and do an open challenge kind of deal to build up a new crew of contenders there and off you go.

I do agree with what was said in the WM thread about this introducing some non-zero risk of the fans turning on the main event. They will be tired. They will be cranky. And they will remember that one of their favorites lost out in this who chain of events. Especially if they play the social media angles posted above, they are sowing a seed they didn’t need to plant.

Women’s stuff was an inferno of garbage. Main event and aftermath was great.

Ok I got a kick out of the swerve ending. If this were 1980 that would be “kill the town” stuff. I mean that crowd just went kerplunk. I was expecting WCW-ish trash and beer in the ring. But as a TV product I love the swerve and am looking forward to next week. Poor 205 live guys

I know WWE performers are 1099’s, but do they have to pay state income taxes in only the state they are domiciled in, or like professional sports pay state income taxes in every state in which they perform? I presume the former, which explains why so many live in Florida. Do professional entertainers (singers, etc) pay state income in states they perform in? Curious how this works.

I feel like they got the challenger / likely new champion right, but I’m not excited about the match they are using to get there. Would have maybe preferred a multiman ladder cluster to play off last year.

Man this gauntlet match next week might be incredible. This thing has been really good, almost note perfect so far. The B+ Player callback to Bryan himself, awesome.

This is a feud that’s been right there for them for a while. I think they were gonna run with it last year when one or the other dude got hurt (can’t remember). Anyway the inevitable Joe promo about being boys in UPW while Cena went Hollywood and Joe took the hard road will be incredible. Cena’s shooty mcshootshoot stuff about “Orlando” notsomuch.

If putting Ali in that spot was some kind of interesting test of his ability to be an upper card baby face that dude passed with flying colors. Not many guys on the roster pull off what he did. Has to bode well for his future
