I get what you are saying, but in the show there are 2 main characters that are musicians. They are both sons of the president of the record company. The 1st is a R&B singer that plays the piano. Would you expect that type of language from John Legend? The 2nd is a young rapper, who like I said is the son of the president and I'm not sure would have the credibility to use harsh lyrics. Did Master P's son?

Did anybody watch "Empire"? The 1st episode was fine, but I checked out in the 2nd episode when I heard soap opera music in the background. It also started out with a music video.

There are a couple of shows on CBS that I like: "Person of Interest" and "Elementary". They are both procedurals, but also have an overarching storyline. Although Elementary hasn't really had that since the Mycroft storyline.

I'm currently reading Mercy Snow by Tiffany Baker. It is set in a paper mill town in New Hampshire. There is a bus accident on a dangerous road; and the book is about what caused the accident and the impact the accident has on different people in the town. There are obvious comparisons to The Sweet Hereafter, but the accident here is high school age students as opposed to elementary students. I'm only about 75 pages in, but it is good so far.
