It was always a goal of mine to write an EWR diary but I never had the patience to start one and update it regularly enough for it to be a worthwhile endeavor.

I'm still waiting for Krone Meltzer to save wrestling journalism.

Wasn't NXT only online during the season that Derrick Bateman was on? I don't think that many casual fans would recognize him.

At best, I see Havana being like London is to the NFL. They might get a special series or two a year but nothing more.

The only thing I could think of would be cheating on Brie but I can't see that either.

I read this as "John Morrison" and imagined Morrison making his re-debut as a desert shaman that gives advice and guidance to Ambrose.

I understand that Drew was underutilized by WWE but I can't imagine a casual fan flipping through the channels, finding TNA, seeing a member of 3MB as World Champion and thinking "this is a major promotion."

I've long argued that Charlotte needs a team and probably should've gotten the Expos when they left Montreal. The Braves and Orioles are too far away from much of the population of the Carolinas and a Charlotte-Atlanta rivalry in the NL East would've been a lot of fun to watch.

It's too bad that there isn't a MLB equivalent to LA for teams to use to blackmail cities into new stadiums. Charlotte and Indy aren't exactly enough to blackmail Phoenix.

Velocity and Heat did pretty well by just having WWE guys wrestle local or top indy talent. I don't see why that formula isn't carried over to Superstars/Main Event.

I proposed the "getting rid of house shows" idea here a few months ago. I think we all agreed that they make too much money to just stop. I think that it's worth the sacrifice, not just because of the injuries, but also because of what we now know about CTE. If you play your cards right, you could have a guy in the ring only once a month or so and that would dramatically cut down on the injuries.

I don't know, I think psychotic ex (or was it escaped?) convict is one of the easiest gimmicks to slot into a feud with someone. Certainly moreso than dentist, garbage man, or hog farmer. WWE's biggest mistake with Nathan Jones is that they didn't go all out with the violent ex-con thing. And also not giving him a more intimidating name than "Nathan Jones."

I mean, we are a pro wrestling message board. Discussing the relative talent of the participants is expected. It's like joining an acting forum and complaining about people discussing who is the better "fake superhero."

At the end of the day, wrestling is about connecting with the fans, John Morrison has done that and Roman largely hasn't. Morrison is better at "pro wrestling" than Roman.

Bankruptcy is a federal thing. States can't handle bankruptcies.

Just think: Cornette had a dream job with WWE. He got to live in his hometown, run and book their developmental territory and largely avoid the political BS. But yet, despite all of that, he still fucked it up.

Random thought: Will Jim Cornette ever get into the Hall of Fame or is that a bridge that not even Triple H could repair?

Roman and Cena seem like they'd be cool dudes to hang out with. That doesn't translate at all into their on-screen characters.
