  1. I did not notice it until a couple of months ago on a Youtube video. I went back and watched it a few times and realized that Charlotte's partners were off to the side and in no position to catch her which is why she landed on her feet and popped both elbows back. If you are going to do a flying move, you have to have confidence in your partners to catch you. That is a basic part of wrestling, trusting your partner. If you can't trust your partner then why do the move? That is why I made the 'go to Mexico' comment. They trust their partners to catch them and take the bump. You can call up all the flyers from NXT you want but if your partner is not going to take the bump and catch you then why bother? It is a deep problem with the women's roster. Outside of Nia, nobody trusts each other to bump and I am sure Brie's move last night did not help the situation. See above.
  2. The Bellas were ever good at wrestling? When? Nobody in the Women's Divisions can be a high flyer because: 1. They are not trained to fly. 2. The women are not trained to take a bump from someone in the air. I see Charlotte jump off the top rope and land on her feet because her partners are not going to catch her. Forget going back to the PC, they need to go to Mexico for a month and learn how to work.
  3. Remember when they wanted to take the slow burn with Braun's push so they would not hot shot the belt onto him just for cheap pops and quick money (cough Rousey cough)? Now they are burying him as if they realized his title run was a disaster with zero pops. Good times.
  4. Andy Reid knows how to develop a quarterback. He took a ton of flack for moving up to draft Mahomes and was criticized by everyone for reaching.
  5. Probably just a CYA with respect to concussions and CTE from the WWE's point of view.
  6. Corgan realizes he needs good press so he will be riding the Bullet Club train as long as possible. Every holder from here on out will likely be a top indy wrestler. The NWA is not at the point where they can run their own shows, pay a roster, and do tv. They need all the good press they can get.
  7. You clearly underestimate the pettiness of the WWE.
  8. There was also Bryan's insistence of using homeopathic treatments rather than surgery to fix his damaged elbow which extended his recovery. His refusal to fix a ruptured ear drum from a match in ROH. I get the picture that there was more behind the scenes stuff between Bryan and the WWE when it comes to medical. A lot of what Bryan did for himself that gave the WWE pause. I believe for the arm, Cena went down with a knee injury (?), got surgery, and came back before Bryan.
  9. Been saying this for at least a year with respect to NXT and the main roster. You can be a star in NXT but come up and become a JTTS on the main roster. Look at everyone who has been called up. In NXT, you are told to get over. In the WWE, you cannot get over unless told to get over. Two completely different worlds. Bayley is by far the biggest example of this.
  10. Except it was not the Philly Special.... We will never change.....
  11. One of HHH's interns. Note how he puts himself on the list twice (DX and Evolution) with his guys (shield) at the top and a current NXT faction at number 10. Is Punk in the Nexus photo?
  12. Psycho has the most carny/wrestling theme song. The show must go on by Three Dog Night It describes living the wrestling life perfect.
  13. I think Billy realized that while the 10 Pounds of Gold YouTube series is nice, Aldis brings little to the table. In Cody, the NWA can hook themselves to the Bullet Club train and ride the positive press for as long as they want. Cody and the Bullet Club bring the name recognition the NWA needs at this point in time if they are to bring themselves back into relevance.
  14. Try to find a match outside of the AAA umbrella where they are not working to their gimmick. One thing I have noticed on a few Mexican indy matches is that the wrestlers tend to have more freedom with respect to plotting a match. In AAA, they tend to work around the gimmick with respect to the in ring work. Outside of AAA, the in ring work can outshine the gimmick. If you watch the Triplemania deathmatch, Murder Clown was working a different style from his time with Monster Clown or Psycho Circus.
  15. We all know the rankings are pretty much bs bordering on sponsored content. Two years ago, they ranked Sexy Star as the 9th best women's wrestler. I can't wait to see Rousey in the top ten while Faby Apache is somewhere in the fifties.
  16. Stop using Reddit altogether and you will even more happier.
  17. I miss the good old days when we would argue over spots 280, 283, and 286 in the DVDVR 500.
  18. The kids love Psycho Clown, he sells a lot of merch (look at the number of masks in the audience), and he comes from a generational wrestling family.
  19. It was a classic 90's deathmatch. Pagano goes all New Jack bringing a shopping cart of weapons. I guess Monster Clown had to take some time off which would explain the breakup between Murder and Monster Clown. Murder Clown is quickly growing on me. His work is underrated for a big guy.
  20. If he only put forth a little more effort. He can be invisible for stretches of the match and then bust out a strong move like the spear at the right time with the right amount of effort. Then they give him a mic because...... I was watching this on Twitch while playing squads on PUBG. I turn away for a couple of minutes and suddenly there is a shopping cart in the ring. I yelled out 'WTF is a shopping cart doing here' which made the squad wonder what I was watching. After a quick explanation, I was doing a little commentary. My best line, 'Pagano is now setting a table on fire and there is nobody within 20 feet of him.' How much hot water is JJ in for not catching Fenix? Fantasma's kid was the star of the night for pulling that move on LA Park.
  21. They were in bad shape at the time. My uncle was an opening match JOTS for the WWE at the Garden in the late 70's/early 80's. When the NWO happened, Vince called my uncle and asked him if he would come back. Promised him a new character and an IC title run, maybe more if the character stuck. My uncle had moved on from wrestling and was working an office job at the time. Vince called my uncle at his job. My uncle turned it down because he did not want the travel schedule. He wanted to be around his wife and kids. They were more important than the money. Here is why I will always have a soft spot for Vince. Instead of thanking my uncle and hanging up, Vince asked about his kids. Opened up about how much he was scared of Ted Turner with his open pockets. Vince was terrified of losing his business to TNT/Turner/WCW. How he did not like doing the Attitude stuff because he did not want Shane and Stephanie to be around that but he felt like he had to do it in order to save his business. They spent an hour talking about kids, wrestling, and everything under the sun. Vince never had to do that, especially for an opening match JOTS. But he did. At the time, Vince was very worried about the WWF.
  22. Since Austin vs Vince was the biggest money making angle of all time, it will never go away and every Fed will lean on it. Fandoms are literally the worst in the last few years. Sites like Reddit have given power to idiots who force their opinions on others just by spending a little money to buy bots who will back up their opinion. The problem with people in airports, restaurants, etc is entitlement. They think they are entitled to walk up to a person at any time and demand anything and if you don't agree you are a complete asshole. Like I said last night, she is working the marks just fine.
  23. The reason why The Rock had it easier is due to the Anoa'i family background, which opens doors. Generational wrestlers have an easier time getting in the door with Vince. If you are a generational wrestler and your father or grandfather worked with Vince, his father, or grandfather the door is wide open. I think Sasha is doing a great job of working the marks with her new gimmick.
  24. Cody is so winning the belt. How did Jarrett work his way into this program? Did he promise them AAA talent?
