Hot take: The reason the mixed tag was good is the same reason Sasha/Bayley Takeover matches were good. They spent months doing them over and over in the PC

I thought it was after Asuka lost. That seemed to be the moment most of the people I saw online figured out this show was gonna suck

Not that long because Charlotte is great when she’s in there with a top tier worker. plus Angle and Hunter will always will their matches to be very good (also the booking of the entire card sucked making it easier for Hunter/Steph/Angle/Rousey to have a very good match)

So both Takeover and WrestleMania were entire cards where I disagreed with who won every match. Yet I greatly enjoyed Takeover and hated WrestleMania. My daughter tapped out when Sasha lost, my wife and I tapped out when Asuka lost, my son tapped out when Shinsuke lost. Bright side NXT DC is on a week and a half so we can all enjoy a show again

I mentioned this in the Mania thread but what if Becky costs Charlotte the match?

What if Charlotte is playing the long con with Asuka? Charlotte realized there was a chance Asuka was going to call her out at Mania and rallies the Horsewomen. So Bayley and Sasha "feud", Charlotte feigns an injury during the MMC where Becky replaces her, Becky then costs Charlotte the MMC finals due to Becky being upset that she got the win but Charlotte still gets to wrestle in the finals. Come Wrestlemania, Bryan and Shane realize that this match needs to have a winner so there is a no-DQ, no-countout stipulation. Becky, Sasha and Bayley make their way out throughout the match with Sasha helping Charlotte, Bayley stopping Sasha and Becky helping Asuka. Asuka finally locks in the Asuka Lock and Sasha breaks up the hold. All the Horsewomen are in the ring and lay out Asuka. After Asuka's unconsious, Charlotte locks in the Figure Four for the pinfall victory. The final shot of the match is all four Horsewomen holding up their four fingers. You have the end of the streak, the fact it took four of the top women in WWE history working together to do it, and you now have Charlotte in her natural role as a heel.

Nakamura beats Styles - It's more of a questionable victory, something like the ref misses AJ's shoulder getting up just before the three count after Nakamura hits the knee to face Reigns over Lesnar - Most duh finish of all time Steph pins Rousey - Long-term pay off here. Angle and Steph have continued their affair that was off and on back in 2000 and working together on RAW rekindled their romance. Hunter is oblivious of the relationship. Rousey locks in her armbar on Steph but Angle breaks it up and hits the Angle Slam on Rousey allowing Steph to pin Rousey. Cena over Taker - Story is Taker really is done and cannot compete which is why he's lost 's 3 of the last 5 Mania matches with his wins coming against Shane McMahon and Bray Wyatt. Bryan/Shane win - Zayn/Owens end up on RAW the next night. Main event will be Zayn/Owens vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Title (If Zayn/Owens win they both win the Universal Championship and will get a one on one match at the next PPV to decide who the champion is) Nia Jax wins - Pre-Show Squash Asuka beats Charlotte - Charlotte reluctantly taps out Bludgeon Brothers win - New Day and Usos are unable to do anything against the two men WWE HOFer Mark Henry is Braun's tag partner. Cesaro pins Henry - Post match, Braun and Henry get into it with Henry hitting the World's Strongest Slam, just as Henry starts to walk away, Braun yells out "I'm not done with you yet!" and proceeds to destroy Henry Rollins wins the IC Title - Distractions by the Miztorage and Club allow for Rollins to pin Balor with the Miz outside the ring. Miz flips out over losing his title without being involved in the decision. Rusev wins the US Title on Rusev Day at RusevMania - Orton taps out to The Accolade Becky wins the Not-Moolah. Finish is a copy of the 1992 Rumble with Sasha Banks in the Hulk Hogan role, Bayley as Sid Justice and Becky as Ric Flair. AtGM - Elias wins since he's the most over person not on the card. Mustafa Ali wins the CW Title - Cedric likely was the one most likely to win but I think Ali's been killing it on promos and I could see Hunter wanting to go with Ali right now.

The only problem with that is Cena said if Taker doesn't answer him he's just going to go to Mania as a fan. So do you have Cena sit in the crowd for most of the show until Taker shows up?

Asuka killing jobbers dead with her kick is always a treat and Sarah Stock randomly showing up on RAW breaking up Sasha/Bayley makes me now wish she will find her way into the Women's Battle Royal.

I'm going with WWE HOF Mark Henry as the mystery partner. They don't win the tag titles and Braun blames Mark and then Braun proceeds to toss around Henry like a ragdoll.

Honestly I used wikipedia to remember all she went through. It sounds like somewhere WWE retconned the whole thing to make Stephanie a willing participant because they didn't want one of their bigger stars to be a sexual predator. EDIT: After I hit post I remembered they also had him pretend fuck a corpse and throw fake brains at the camera so I'm not 100% sure they care if Hunter is a sexual predator.

Punk going heel while not aligning with the Authority would be interesting, not sure if WWE could pull off a nuanced story like that though

Seeing the Black Wedding mentioned earlier, has Stephanie McMahon been diagnosed with PTSD yet? She's been kidnapped multiple times, she faked being drugged, raped and forcibly married just to get back at her father for her first kidnapping, she faked a pregnancy to keep her husband, she had to fight her dad when he wouldn't stop his second public affair, when her father was having his first public affair, she was okay with that one as long as she got to abuse his mistress, she found out her father had a bastard child, she was RKO'd and forcibly kissed just to enrage her husband , she had her crowning moment ruined by her "prodigal son" brother ruin her award ceremony and be welcomed back as if he had never left the family business. Also how is she allowed to be a chief executive in a company when all that has happened to her? Or is WWE not a publicly traded company in kayfabe

From this angle it looks like Lil' Naitch should be counting Bryan's shoulders on the mat.

Why not put Bryan in the Punk/Hunter match, make it a three way. Or since they had the room, do Punk/Bryan where the winner gets Hunter. I wonder what happens if Punk stays and Bryan's head isn't completely fucked. Also what happens with Brock/Roman plans when Vince starts seeing the money rolling in with Bryan on top eventually. I think the two biggest losers if Punk and Bryan stay around are Rusev and Rollins. I think it's harder for Rusev to break through since the top of the card and upper midcard are full at the time (Orton/Cena/Shield/Punk/Bryan) which means we may not get the Rusev tank entrance at 31. Rollins is hurt because the Authority would be pointless since Bryan and Punk would have rendered them useless.

I think 2 deserves some considering because of the multi-city concept that would be incredibly interesting if they were ever able to attempt that again.

22 gave us Mickie James V lick which is never to be seen again. 6 gave us Warrior/Hogan 22 wins

3 was better but 15 was the only Mania I've been to so I gave 15 a pity vote

5 was better on paper, 31 was better once the bell rang.
