My guess is Bhagwan Rajneesh had enough stroke in the state that they didn't want to take the chance of offending him. I'll ask on the Portland FB group.

Is it fair to assume that this gimmick was in response to the entire Bhagwan Rajneesh saga? The dollar signs make perfect sense given the true outcome of the story.
