  1. the Britt/Penelope finish may have been my fav spot of the night. Archer/Strong felt quite short. Loved how they flowed right from that in to Takeshita/Cole. I thought Cole might get a DQ win or something as I was surprised they ended up not going with the triple threat route for Full Gear, but Strong/MJF will be good stuff. Good main event that could've gone either way, finish felt rather abrupt, like there's a kickout and then Brody just picks Dax up and puts him out just like that. Enjoyed Orange's promo and the brawl that followed.
  2. Tasha is the best! "Riot" is the name of Masha's theme
  3. If anyone still plays WWE 2k23, the online servers for it will be shut down on January 6, 2025. The final DLC pack for 2k24 comes out tomorrow. the WCW pack featuring DDP, Lex Luger, Great Muta, Mr. Perfect, & Iron Sheik as well as the classic Fall Brawl arena. From videos posted, sadly DDP does not have his music but rather the WWE Network dubbed music. Muta does have his original late 80s NWA theme. Weirdly, Luger is 99-00 "The Total Package" heel version in his model and entrance but has the classic 96-98 theme music.
  4. AEW going true November 2 Remember!
  5. Can definitely see the argument. It's a year right in the middle of (IMO) 2 of TNA's peak years, coming down from the high of 2012 and before the next high of 2016. There were some off the wall things like being the year they did Bound for Glory taped from Japan but it did have some highlights, I personally enjoyed the Hardys vs Dudleys vs Wolves series. I'm not sure which year I'd say is TNA's best. I know a lot of people pick 2005. My personal favorites are 2012, 2016, 2018, and maybe 2009. As for Mr. Anderson/Kennedy, I thought he was initially terrible in WWE but started improving towards the end, then really found himself in TNA 2010-2011 which I'd say was his best run by far. Short peak but for that brief time he got super over as a babyface before inevitably turning again.
  6. I usually hate the 'can never challenge for the title again' stip as I don't see any way Anna Jay's taking the title at this point, though I'd like to see it one day, but I'm looking forward to the match after enjoying their last two. Popped for Ashley Vox showing up, but also knew immediately she was going to last about as long as the last three Zoey Lynn appearances. Mortos/Strong, Wayne/Fox, and the main were all pretty fun
  7. The sudden transformation of Ice Cold to Scout Parker is so bizarrely random, but she looks really great in this new version. Her opponent Xena Phoenix was impressive in her debut as well. Animal Instinct vs. the Fierce Sisters is a good solid tag. Reina vs. Tiki was a fun monster/underdog match with Tiki even getting a visual fall. Nice intro vignette for Valentina Diamante coming soon. Great main event for the Custody of Holly. Wasn't expecting a full on heel turn from Holly at first, so the ending hit perfectly. "She hit her own mother!" Hopefully Jessie doesn't forget about her eventual world title shot.

  9. Excellent main event epic from Moose vs Speedball, that ruled. Interested to see Moose as X Champion if he holds onto it for long. Sad ending of Speedball Mountain afterwards. Women's tag was a fun opener. Alisha selling wrestling in the neckbrace was amusing.
  10. Lots of tag squashes open this week with The Infantry, SAP, and EJ Nduka & Lee Johnson going by Lee-J. Sammy Guevara over Preston Vance was short but pretty good. Diamante beats Rachael Ellering quick then furthers the feud with Red Velvet after. Welcome back Leyla Hirsch with a squash of Tina San Antonio. Ishii wipes out Aaron Solo in 5 mins. Nice ringside brawl between Dustin/Sammy and the Righteous. Ryan Clancy had a great showing in defeat against Nick Wayne, getting crowd chants & commentary putting him over big. Shane Taylor is calling out Dustin for the trios titles, so this week's Throwback match is when the original Shane Taylor Promotions won the trios titles in 2021. Awesome match between AR Fox and Josh Woods, felt like both guys could use/get the win. Some good spots & near falls. Fox goes over then gets attacked by Nick Wayne setting up their match on Collision. Main event felt like a nice bonus as Shibata makes quick work of the Butcher.
  11. Great opening tag with Death Riders vs Orange & Darby. Nice flow straight in to the Fight Without Honor trios tag afterwards. Terrible continued portrayal of Kamille as ineffective as possible in her role. First she loses, now fails a surprise attack and gets taken out with ease. Cole/Malakai had some good stuff in there, ending felt odd. Hayter/Penelope was pretty good, fast paced being under 5 minutes. Great surprise in Hobbs return. I initially thought Ospreay, then figured it'd be Davis, so that was unexpected and then to see all of them involved afterwards made for a nice chaotic ending.
  12. Dojo Defenders vs Top Tier was nice opener, felt like a big step up for the DD and then they pull the upset too. Dissension within Top Tier felt out of nowhere. Holly Swag looked good in her singles debut with a quick win over Siren. Post-match promo and later angle teasing a Mother Truckers split, at least temporarily. Thought it was weird that Genesis was in a trios match, so I was glad that was addressed immediately. I loved how she protested all match, then made sure to help her team get the win anyways, that ruled. Huge win for the Classmaster in the main event, nice to see her climbing up the main event mix after some good showings. although Jessie Jones should still be next in line for the title shot and has been waiting for ever. Nice cliffhanger to end on with Abilene Maverick teasing a new protégé coming soon.
  13. Love seeing Erin bounce back from her last loss, great victory! Erin going for Alexa Grasso next kills me as that's my top two favs against each other but figured it would be inevitable.
  14. Collision felt like a response to all the talk about the tag division lately by making sure it was the focus, having every tag team out there for Private Party's opening with various tag angles throughout the show, I loved it. Private Party and FTR almost getting into it, Dissension within the Acclaimed, Undisputed Kingdom interrupted by Cage & Archer, Johnny Television joining MxM, etc. I popped for Cage giving a "Tell em (murder)Hawk!". And now we've got the tag team contenders series with tag matches over the next few weeks setting up a 4 way title match at Full Gear. I love over the top Harley Cameron and Thunder Rosa, so thought the Dia de los Muertos was just a fun ten minutes. Komander/Fletcher ruled as expected. I feel like the almost botched 3 count has happened a time or two before in Strong matches, like sometimes the refs just aren't quite sure if the jumping knee is the finish or not. Enjoyed Orange's promo segment with BCC. Really liked the main event and thought Anna looked great. They only got around 10 minutes and figured Anna never had a real chance coming off already pinning Mariah, but there was some good tension in the Queenslayer and near falls. Felt like a stacked show getting in 7 matches and some good segments. Dynamite is looking similarly good coming up next.

  16. ^ Thought of that as well, 3rd straight loss in under a minute! Deonna and Taya are now going by "The Vendetta", loving them together so far. I liked how the rest of Rampage was Top Flight Night with each match flowing into the next. Leila up first with Top Flight coming out as she's leaving, then Lio coming out as they're leaving. Nice submissions from Aminata in her victory.
  17. Always liked all three. Tegan never got to do anything, though I enjoyed her brief tag with Natalya, but I always had hopes that Indi would get to do more than she got.
  18. This show went by super quick with mostly shorter matches. Kazarian's Hendry impersonation was pretty funny. Masha looking great as champ and I love her getting new Dance with the Dead theme music, Outrunners style. Also digging Maclin's new theme that debuted at BFG. I always liked Savannah Evans, so it's cool to see her back
  19. It's Ring of Horror! The 3 Hour Halloween Special Opening with a Righteous vignette/promo about coming for the tag titles was different, with a nice backstage promo from the champs later in response. Later on they brawl after the Righteous squash to further the issue. After all that, things continue with a backstage attack on Dustin & Sammy. I dug the 'throughout the show' angle here. Preston Vance & Peter Avalon made an interesting team, up against the returning JD Drake & BEEF in the opener. Liked tying in the happenings from last week's Rampage with JD & Beef. I love JD and Beef continuing on the angle while Anthony Henry is out, seems to work perfectly. JD & Beef made a good team and the crowd was getting into it by the end. Johnny TV squash of Deonn Rusman was pretty good with Rusman getting a couple decent hope spots. Followed up by a Gates of Agony 1 minute squash. Reyna Isis is back after her win over Viva Van last week, for a fun 5 minutes with Lady Frost this week. Reyna comes off like a star from entrance on. Matt Taven vs. Aaron Solo in a 5 minute Pure Rules match felt random but I like the setup for Taven/Moriarty, with Taven coming for the one ROH title he hasn't won. Ishii vs Josh Woods was solid. Premier Athletes attack after and O'Reilly makes the save, followed by a Top Flight trios squash and a nice Billie Starkz squash of Blair Onyx. This week's Throwback Replay for Halloween is Curry Man vs. Jay Lethal from This Means War in October 2005, that match went a lot longer than I remembered, going 20+. Really like the Infantry joining up with Shane Taylor Promotions. Thought they were gonna turn down the offer and wasn't sure about a full on heel turn but Trish Adora stepping up to cement it ruled, she is greatness and has deserved something more for awhile now and should provide a welcome refresh for the Infantry team overall. Good match vs. Angelico & Serpentico to have this play out. Diamante with a quick 1 minute squash, Dark Order beat Iron Savages, and Komander beats Ari Daivari in what was the longest match of the night up to this point. Halloween main event was absolutely epic and lived up to the hype/hopes for it. the Ring of Horror match was a Chain Match with weapons. Lots of awesome spots, tables, tacks, etc. Athena busting out the skewers to draw blood from Abadon was an amazing visual as the initial small line of blood runs down Abadon's face but only seems to power them up. Athena using a glass bottle followed by the chain-assisted O-Face over a row of chairs was a crazy looking finish. Every time they do an Abadon Halloween Deathmatch, it always ends up one of my favs of the year and this ranked right up there with the original Britt match and last year's Shida match. This ruled. More Abadon Always. I can only assume they'll next start building to Athena/Billie II as the Final Battle one year later.
  20. With all the turns, returns, turns and turns back in the angle already, I hope there's no Kingdom turning on Cole in there too, though I could of course see it happening. I'd prefer that unit sticks together as they had already been at odds before and worked this angle to get on the same page in the first place. That and I'm interested in a potential Bennett/Taven babyface run for a change.
  21. I'm always feeling the n64 nostalgia mentioned on the previous page, fond memories of first renting one to play WCW/nWo World Tour, great times. Lately I've been feeling more PS1 nostalgia and recently picked one up to play some of the old games and pick up some random ones to add to the collection. Definitely one of my favorite eras and much prefer the days of just putting in a game and playing it rather than worrying about installing/downloading/storage space/etc. As someone who doesn't play games often these days and usually just older ones with a handful of semi-recent ones, for those who play tons of current games, is it just a constant always having to delete games to make room for new ones or does external hard drive make it better/easier?
  22. I thought it was a mostly great show with a nice feeling of excitement through a lot of the segments. Only 4 matches but everything was spaced out pretty nicely. Orange opening promo was great and the later BCC brawl chaos with Darby coming down from the rafters ruled. Cole/Buddy got a lot of time and had lots of amusing stuff like Cole hulking up after the 2nd Stomp, the fans counting out Cole while the doctor was checking him and Bryce waving them off to stop, Buddy then giving up his chance to win by doctor stoppage. Cole/Malakai next week should be interesting. Did like Cole's post-match promo in the back and still prefer the babyface version of Cole being back. welcome back Mark Davis. one of the tombstones on the cemetery set was for "Hook's Chips" thought Bucks/Private Party was excellent, really awesome match and could've seen it go either way as I went in thinking the Bucks would retain. Similar to the PPV match, lots of great near falls. Some hilarious commentary lines, like Excalibur saying the Gin and Juice would have to be the "Milk and Cookies" when the Bucks did it. "Ascending to the top floor and kicking in the EVP doors" Fantastic feel good moment for PP to get the win. The Bucks leaving after definitely felt like they'd be back in a couple months to try to save their company from the BCC. Only part of the show I didn't care for was Kamille getting beat already in just her 2nd match against an actual roster member and that quickly at that. But I hate everything about the abrupt Statlander turn. Great main event from Shelton and Swerve. Was surprised the Swerve Stomp actually got the win. Nice to see Lashley officially become All Elite. Looks like next week is stacked pretty good for the show going up against ECWnxt, with the Fight Without Honor trios match, Darby/Orange vs Claudio/Yuta, Cole/Malakai and the nicely built to Hayter/Penelope match.
  23. With all the ECW Arena hype, using the theme in the promos, showing the old clips, etc, I wanna see them bring in every possible former ECW talent they can get. Great start with Bubba Ray and Dawn Marie, give us an RVD match, Sabu appearance, Raven, and with the TNA partnership we gotta get Dreamer in at least. Now if only we could get the Franchise on the Shawn Michaels produced show, I'd mark for it. I liked Fallon Henley more as a babyface and wish Jacy Jayne was positioned instead as the star of this group to get the title win. I like Jazmyn Nyx in the up and comer role and Jacy still stands out like a total star in a lot of their segments. thought Stephanie V & Giulia looked awesome together and Vaquer's finish was perfection there.
  24. https://twitter.com/nwa/status/1846311337997095097 NWA on X week 3 features a fun Jack Cartwheel/Alex Misery match and the Burke women's invitational which is always entertaining each year. the Tiffany Nieves/Natalia Markova final 2 was great, nice spectacular finish. https://twitter.com/nwa/status/1848848053026877693 NWA on X week 4 features new US Tag champs and new Women's Tag champs crowned. Ella Envy rules, I dig her and Ms. Starr as the IT Girls. Tomorrow's episode will be week 5 which should finish out NWA 76 as they initially said Powerrr would air on X for 5 weeks but with no change announced, I assume it will stay this way. NWA taped Samhain 2 this past weekend which will probably start airing in a few weeks.
