  1. Yeah - this is totally different than any wrestling streams you have ever seen. However, I'm still uncertain how my internet connection will be able to handle it. With 3mbps, it should be able to handle it but maybe not.. It might be time for an upgrade. I'm debating on whether I should purchase WrestleMania the old fashioned way or try my luck with the network. Either way I will be getting the network on 2/24. They are showing LIVE tapings of NXT on 2/27.
  2. I don't take character into account and I don't think anyone should. It's about on-field performance/achievements. With that said, Dungy is not a hall of fame coach.
  3. Trish was like Ric Flair in '89 in that Hemme match.
  4. I might just try the network first to see how it runs and then upgrade if I have to later on. I'm considering ordering mania through traditional PPV.
  5. AT&T snuck up on me with this shit. Back in the day when I signed up it was for "high-speed internet".. there were no levels to it from what I recall.. now come to find out I have a shit connection compared to what else is out there.
  6. I could always upgrade to the next level, I Think its 5 dollars a month extra but I'd have to double check..
  7. I don't have much issue with Netflix but sometimes the picture gets a little grainy.. I don't know if that's a connection thing or its to do with Netflix itself. This is the only thing that concerns me... I hear MLB.TV is great but for something like wrestlemania I don't want it falling into a grainy resolution, I'd prefer HD quality throughout..
  8. I asked this question earlier but I don't think anyone answered it yet... how fast do you think your internet speed will have to be for this to stream well? Will it matter? Is 3mb fine? Will it beve to be 12mb? Somewhere between?
  9. They have a lot of content at launch and are giving PPV's away for $9. I don't think anyone is going to be infuriated but we'll see..
  10. I guess there's no separate thread for it. I saw The Wolf of Wall Street. It's presented very much like Goodfellas, Casino, etc.. I loved it. It does not feel like 3 hours. I've heard complaints about there being too many montages and that Scorsese really beats you over the head with the hookers and drug use but I was fine with all of it. It's a fun ride. Leo was great...Leo is always great but Jonah Hill was also tremendous. Every time he wasn't on screen I was wishing him back. Great performance.
  11. Oh, I might have missed it here.. but it has been posted in the NXT thread. The February 27th tapings will air LIVE on WWE Network. This thing has so much potential.
  12. True but I think you are talking about a very small group of people who will expect to have everything right away. Those people probably wouldn't sign up for the thing if it was .99 cents a month.
  13. Everyone I've talked to is pumped to have every WWE, WCW and ECW PPV at launch because most of them haven't seen most of it. I've seen a lot of it but there's still hours and hours that I haven't seen..
  14. Why would they give you everything right away? It's smart of them to do it slowly.. keep the network fresh..
  15. It's mentioned in the FAQ that content on the WWE Network will range from TVPG to TVMA. There will be parental controls on the app. I doubt it will affect RAW or SD! because of the TV deals and advertising dollars.
  16. Do you think the network will run well on all types of internet connections or will people have to have the highest speed?
  17. Batista coming in might knock a guy like Bryan down into the midcard which is unfortunate but we will still have great matches. The other way of looking at it is if Bryan is occupying the midcard then that means Kofi and Miz probably aren't... which is great.
  18. Yeah - this is going on in my circle as well. People that occasionally watch RAW and maybe WrestleMania are on board in my neck of the woods. This could be huge.
  19. Superman's introduction to the public/military was him assisting them during the initial battle with the Kryptonians. This is where they realize he is good and a protector. Nothing that happened in Metropolis would change that viewpoint. The battle with him vs. Zod didn't destroy the city. The city was already destroyed when Superman arrived. He was shutting down the machine over the Indian Ocean. Jesus Fuck.
  20. See, I can understand remaking films that could be upgraded with today's technology...etc. but Point Break? There's not a chance in hell this comes anywhere close to the original.
  21. Why argue specs though when the $100 price difference is right there?
  22. WWE has a FAQ on their website that answers a lot of the things we've been discussing. Some will find this interesting:
  23. It's actually quite shocking that WWE is so up on this. We always discuss how they are behind the times. Cable is fading and WWE is out in front of it. Nice.
