  1. Fifteen years ago today, the final WCW PPV aired:
  2. I think the Hulkster is super sensitive about his baldness. He DID state this UNDER OATH during the Gawker trial, cited his first wife mocking him about it to be the root cause of his embarrassment. Add in the fact that video game Hulk Hogan's all have 70's Hogan hair regardless of what era Hogan it is OR the character has a bandana permanently sewed onto his scalp. I'd love to hear more about this from former THQ guys, character model guidelines for Hogan regarding his hairline.
  3. You all convinced me - WrestleCon on Saturday for Bette convention and Supershow, Axxess on Sunday before WrestleMania. Then maybe some art museum on Monday just to appease my gf before we head back to Austin.
  4. Turns out all you need is a $5 GameBit screwdriver and a $3 Madden N64 cart and you're all set to play Japanese N64 games on your American system. Remove back of the JPN cart, replace it with back of a US cart and you're done!
  5. Reproductions of old wrestling shirts is weird... More so if it's the Barber Shop Window goons recreating old shirts with slight tweaks to skirt copyright issues win the WWE.
  6. Just got this in the mail -- super psyched! I'm only 16 years late on this one!
  7. Looking forward to my first Mania as well, driving in from Austin. the girlfriend will be coming along with me so I think I'm most likely going to play it rather simple than try to hit up all of these events every night. Question -- it the Hall of Fame ceremony worth it? I enjoy watching them but not thrilled about being there live for it. Kinda feel obligated due to Sting going in and the fact that I run a WCW site. But that WrestleCon event that night might convince me otherwise...
  8. Or he's a fan??? At least he's not wearing Wrestle-Roos or whatever those wrestling trunks underwear is called.
  9. Congrats to The Freebirds on making it into the WWE Hall of Fame!
  10. Pete Gas??? Good odds on MSP showing up at WrestleMania then...
  11. Worst it's ever been for me. Died completely during Brock's entrance, haven't been able to get it going again.
  12. Advert for lucha libre comic -- got no use for the scan for my WCW site but too damn cool to not upload.
  13. On Sunday the 14th, The Big Gold Belt celebrated its 30th birthday! It made its debut on Valentine's Day '86 at Battle of the Belts II! Happy birthday! (Pic via @TheBigGoldBelt)
  14. One of them is the Milwaukee Mauler – nice guy. He follows me on Twitter, says the match was a dream come true for him. Edit: Beaten
  15. Ed "Teddy Bear" Ferrara has been all over MLW shows for a while now. He's teaching there at Full Sail but hasn't shown any interest in trying to get in on the NXT thing. I don't think he even watches as the last time he was on a podcast, they focused more on RAW and Marvel movies.
  16. He'd disappear late 1998 to deal with his marriage and personal issues, wouldn't be completely surprised if he picked up bad habits from being around Luger though. The idea of him being fucked up at Starrcade though -- never considered it.
  17. Wait? Sting under the influence?? I've never got that from the interviews. My take is that he has some serious issues in his personal and family life so when he showed up looking less than 100 percent and not completely dialed into being a wrestler that night, it pissed Hogan off. Bischoff danced around this with Flair I his podcast but I never thought he went into the match all pilled up or something. That being said, WCW Magazine has interviews with Bret early on where he mentions coming to WCW specifically to get revenge on Hogan for that Yokozuna debacle. Shame that never happened either.
  18. Scanned in some photos from a Japanese wrestling magazine for my site, have no idea what any of it says but MASAHIRO CHONO, MUTA AND NWO JAPAN
  19. Ughhhhhh.... That site has so much garbage. Hope the other designs are better.
  20. Bull shit. Foley's mane is glorious.
  21. Funnily enough, Alice answered that on her last Drive-Thru episode: She started a wrestling podcast, Court heard it, liked her, and brought her into the MLW family as a producer/personality. She admitted to enjoying her time on Corny's show before pausing and facetiously saying how chaotic things are behind the scenes at MLW.
