  1. Hey, more time for him and the kid.
  2. Marlins cut bait on Salty already.
  3. Waino was the Posey-esque sacrificial lamb for the DH in the NL. (Won't...make...classy...joke....) Awful for baseball, because he's a joy to watch on the hill. Terrible that he got hurt doing something the Cardinals aren't paying him $19.5 million to do.
  4. And that assumes that nether appeals and gets it knocked down by a game or two...
  5. Love the now-dead cap. Wore it to the game on Wednesday. It worked.
  6. Dish gets into carriage disputes on a seemingly biweekly basis. It'll get taken care of.
  7. Yordano Ventura and the Royals got into ANOTHER bench clearing brawl. Time for a lengthy suspension.
  8. Yeah. Numero dos for him at 40? Curtains. Of course, nothing is OFFICIAL yet, so I tend to err on the side of caution.
  9. Joe Nathan's elbow is Officially Fucked
  10. It's a skill of sorts. Starling Marte has thrived on it over the last two years. Chase Utley made a living of doing it in his prime. But occasionally, one of those pitches will get you in the hand or wrist, and you'll miss time.
  11. The Jays-O's feud seems like small potatoes in comparison to the dickshit Royals vs everyone. Almost seems like that feud only gets out of control when the games also get out of control, and they're both smart enough to not push buttons when the outcome is still n doubt.
  12. Jose Bautista got thrown at last night by the Orioles. Instead of turning it into a beanball war, he launched a homer. That's how it should be taken care of.
  13. Why *not* throw at hitters if the punishments are that light?
  14. The Kindle Fire HD 7" is on sale right now on Amazon for $79 (which is $60 off). Just grabbed one, a case, and the "ad free" gimmick (my friend didn't, and it drives her crazy) for still a good $20 less than what the damn thing would have cost normally. This will end up being more of an "around the house" tablet, with my Surface functioning as an on the road/work mini-PC of sorts.
  15. They play each other 18 times. If the Royals are still without Herrera/Ventura/Holland during that series, it should be a cakewalk for Detroit
  16. Draft Kings isn't gambling, it's fantasy baseball you have the option to pay for. (or so they claim)
  17. Draft Kings is everywhere this year. MLB owns a chunk of them, and Draft Kings bought a massive ad deal as well.
  18. News cycles are a funny thing. If this arrest happened this past Tuesday, it would probably have gotten more pub. But late on Friday night? With two sets of playoffs starting up? Nah
  19. Erin Andrews has worked for Fox for the last three years. I'm sure ESPN is totally trying to protect her, or whatever your argument is. It's also Jarrett Stoll, a hockey player. And the NHL and NBA playoffs are both rolling along right now. And Stoll wasn't charged with anything was has already been released. Really don't know what else you want from them here. This isn't some sort of massive story.
  20. Fox Sports has hired Pete Rose. My. God.
  21. I don't know where you're hearing those rumors, but maybe you shouldn't visit those sources anymore. None of that is remotely accurate.
  22. The Cubs are calling some prospect up tomorrow. Bryan Christ, or something like that. Wonder if he's good.
  23. I got a Roku 3 a couple of weeks ago (free through an app, which is pretty awesome), and I love the hell out of it. The actual interface within the apps is ugly as all hell, but it's quite effective and very easy to use. In the bedroom, I have a Fire TV, and I think I prefer the Roku (even though it doesn't have voice search) because of the selection of apps and how it doesn't immediately force you into Amazon Instant when you search. The MLB/UFC apps are also aces, and I haven't had any issues with buffering whatsoever.
  24. Yeah, you're on the money with that assessment. MLB has essentially said that they're interested in going back....as long as there's a stadium deal in place. Stade Olympique is fine for a couple of exhibition games each year, but no more. Haven't read many good books lately. Slogged my way through Soccer vs the State, which wasn't what I was expecting at all. I liked Golazo!, but couldn't really fall deep into it. Graham Poll's Seeing Red was a good, quick read. Just started Hatters, Railwaymen, and Knitters, and it looks like it'll be another quick read. Not sure if Ill be able to fall into it like I have other books. Only have four unread on my shelf, so come May, I might need to start reloading again.
