The problem there is that if you can't see or talk to them, you can't dismiss them. Which means the game still thinks you have a companion, which I assume would mean that the Lone Wanderer benefits wouldn't kick in.

The super friends ep for me was the one when the legion of doom used Dr Natas' crystal to kill all the JLA. Yeah, that's the episode I came here to mention. Seeing Superman's coffin was pretty harsh at that age.

Cait is a delicate balance in trying to raise her opinion of you. I probably will just do the lockpicking trick the next time I find a safe controlled by a computer. Cait's story makes no sense, but raising her opinion of you is easy. Just open locks and be a dick to everyone. While we're talking romance, my nerd character has so far failed two Flirt checks and two Romance checks with hot reporter chick. Is he out of luck? I initially figured failing the first Romance was it (that was when I got her perk), but she gave me another opening.

But VATS is how you fire guns in this game. (Okay, I realize you can shoot outside of VATS, but that feels like cheating.)

Anybody understand how Fire Rates work? The unique Laser Rifle I got from Paladin Danse allegedly has eight times the Fire Rate of my Laser Musket, but they seem to take about the same number of APs to fire.

I decided my character didn't care what he had to say and just killed him in VATS from outside the room.

Stats aren't capped at 10, so I'm not sure whether 10 is an autosuccess. I don't think I've failed a persuasion check with Charisma 12, but I could be forgetting one. And Triggermen die like flies. Have you done the mission where you're asked to wipe out three warehouses full of them?

Interesting. I targeted it in VATS, saw the death's head, and stayed the fuck away. What motivation would I have to fight it? I don't even know what it is.

Has anybody noticed that the clothing shops only seem to stock men's clothing? Is it possible to get a Ratty Skirt other than by killing someone and taking it?

Well, I decided to start with "Guy who waits fucking HOURS for XBox to update itself". After innumerable attempts to download the update with the XBox itself, only to have it crap out at (at most) 20%, I googled for instructions on how to download the update onto a USB stick and install from that. Then, of course, Fallout needed an update too, and that one wouldn't download at all - installation would consistently sit at 0% for a few minutes before it would give up. Google didn't turn up anything at all to help here. I eventually got it to download by connecting the XBox to my router by ethernet. No idea why that would fix it - checking my network connection on the XBox invariably came back saying it was fine, and I routinely stream video over my Wifi on other devices. So now, 24 hours later, and with considerably dimmed enthusiasm, I think I'm actually able to play this damn game. Wish me luck.

Well, I'm now the proud owner of an XBox One with Fallout 4. Only question that remains: what type of character to try first? Good-natured techie? Grizzled soldier? Manipulative psychopath?

Those honey pastry things? They're pretty sticky, but I don't think they'd adhere to the face.
