  1. If WWE completely ditches the Houeshows they'll probably Quadruple their overseas tours because they usually increase the amount of shows internationally when shows of here don't draw well
  2. I forgot about that, wasn't that mainly because of his unwillingness to travel much and limit his schedule. When they put NXT UK on hiatus and they been having all the shows in one area, Its surprising they didn't try to use him on RAW. Outside of his match with Dragonov I havent seen any NXTUK since the last UKTakeover. I remember being excited about the next one in April that never happened. He's one of the best talents they have overall.
  3. I know Shawn and Hunter think the World of WALTER but I wonder what Vince thinks of him. I imagine he'd be losing his shit over him, we atleast in the previous eras. Even with all his upside I'd still be nervous about how he'd be used on the main roster, just based off how a guy like Keith Lee has been booked.
  4. I just read about NHL likely being moved to USA network by the end of the year. If they take NXTs slot I think WWE would rather that be the reason they stop going head to head with Dynamite then being force to because of viewership
  5. Seeing clips from this decade like this surface surprised me with the stuff they were doing. Growing up on WWF and watching 70s and 80s stuff from that territory, I did expect the work rate to be this fluid
  6. I hope Cedric keeps his momentum at least. Remember he was getting pushed when Heyman first became head booker of RAW. No shock at Ricochet kill it on RAW after being regulated to the C Show almost exclusively. Hope he doesn't get thrown to the waste side. The biggest issue with all these breakups lately is they don't lead to anything. Usually atleast one of the people involved get a push of some sort or an initial feud. The only split that lead to something was Sasha and Bayley. There have been so many pointless breakups in the past 9 months or so, it doesn't make sense. The Women pushed hard for a tag division and they needed one but they literally put 2 top Women together for no reason and put the belts on them until the next Super team comes along. The men's tag divisions atleast have enough real teams
  7. I guess they are giving LA an extra year of wait considering how strict they are with the Covid restrictions. This was supposed to be the year they were gonna have WrestleMania had the Pandemic not been a thing. If Everything goes back to normal it'll be interesting to see if they trying to have Rock do a match considering he treated a March between he and Roman when Mania was announced for Hollywood originally. And how will they fill Cowboys stadium next year. I wonder with them most likely not going back to the normal schedule of running town when they start back having fans with it increase the Audience wanting to buy tickets for the bigger shows like Mania in the next few years
  8. Many people were saying this before HiTC, but WWE isn't concerned with long-term booking because they needed a Cell match. I doubt they go back to this feud right now. I hope Bianca wins, I loved her being so dominant in this years Rumble. It doesn't get you any more over but eliminating a ton of guys every year but not win it. I'd rather Bianca win and face Sasha or Bayley as champ.
  9. I'd he has 14 days to Quarantine he should be ready in time for Royal Rumble, it would seem weird for WWE to sell for Covid, especially it involving your main event guy when he can just miss only 2 TVs and be back for the go home RAW
  10. In NXT he came in and was booked like a star, in WWE he's been booked like a person that they are trying to get over to the WWE audience. Remember when he was WWE champ and they overdid the Low blow just drill it to the audience that he was a heel. I had no problem with him using the low blow but they completely overdid it to where it ruined his matches with AJ. Nak has always been a great heel but WWE booked him as if he never worked heel. Lately he's been his natural heel self but he's pretty much midcard, slotted to have a token good to great match for the occasional top guy to pop a rating. Character wise, he's been great he just isn't booked like he has much credibility yet he's been credible enough to be booked to have a great match with a Reigns or Bryan or Rey to draw in viewers
  11. After they completely ruined the Summer of Punk run with HHH sabotaging him people were completely tired of HHH basically being Vince. They did tease Shawn Michaels being apart of the angle by screwing Bryan out of the title once. At the time I thought it would have been cool if they played off the fact Shawn trained Bryan.
  12. There is still so much other wrestling out here outside of WWE that is easily accessible. Most of them the same quality work rate but easier to invest in. New Japan, AEW, MLW are easy to sink your teeth into. Why wait for WWE to somehow get good again. I have the network so I just live off the PPVS for my WWE viewing. Smackdown is pretty good right now though. Even Dragon Gate has english commentary I hear
  13. I hope Cardi does get involved at some point because I hate when a hot main stream celebrity has an interaction with one of their talents independently of them and WWE gives it attention but the celebrity for some reason or another doesn't follow up. It makes WWE seem so desperate for mainstream media attention and lame when the celebrity doesn't try go get a payoff of the interaction. Like when Chris Brown had that interaction with Punk and he basically blew them off by name dropping wrestlers that were around before he was old enough to walk. Cardi's husband is closely associated with Flair and he seems too be a big enough fan himself doing songs mentioning Scott 2 Hotty so it can happen. I think its more of a case of downplaying her familiarity with Wrestling because it isn't as socially relevant. Especially in the hip hop culture unless your a legend like Austin, Flair or Undertaker
  14. I'm not a fan of the character, especially in today's world. It's a real fine line with it especially since she wants to keep kayfabe with it. I respect that she's dedicated to it but it's 25 - 30 years to late. That type southern Belle thing is old.
  15. Both Drew and Roman don't mind working stiff, so in that regard outside of Sheamus these 2 are the best opponents for Goldberg. I know working stiff still doesn't prepare you for someone as unrefined as Goldberg. I just realized I want Sheamus vs Goldberg or Goldberg vs Cesaro both would be fun. Why would you run Goldberg vs the top guy on both brands on 2 flagship PPVs in a row. I like Goldberg, and was ready to see he vs Reigns last year. This year though, I think they've done a better job building up challengers for Roman on the Smackdown side. They're doing a good job with Keith Lee
  16. Correct but he lost feeling in that leg and still doesn't have feeling in that leg, permanent Nerve damage
  17. Finlay, having an inring run in WWE after his career ending nerve injury in WCW. He didn't change a bit since WCW even considering he was in his late 40s early 50s in WWE. Even his Indy run even later was just as good or better even against much younger guys. Finlay is one of my all time personal favorites. Heck, even Vince said Finlay was a personal favorite and he would've made him Champion if he was younger
  18. Smart move on his part because he would've been terrible on his own with out those guys. He was already split with Debra which would have been another thing working against him as she added so much to him. Being linked with Flair , Arn and Benoit I'm sure stopped him from being a complete disaster in the ring so good for him. I'm sure they could've put him back in the booth. I'm sure people probably thought he was a waste of a Horsemen slot but he fit it perfectly Persona wise. He had charisma and just like Kevin Greene the fans knew he was a genuinely huge wrestling fan, that always helps when you come in from the outside. Pat McAfee is alot like Mongo, he has the Charisma, he can talk, he's great at being a heel, he has all the natural instincts except he's a much much better worker and the crazy thing about that is he's just getting started. He's even similar in that he's grouped with elite workers
  19. I've been a fan since the CHIKARA days. I think pretty much everyone that really knows the business was always are of how good he was especially being in the Wyatt family work horse. I was just thinking right before TLC that his match with Orton was probably Orton best match in recent memory and I remember the Ziggler match at TLC getting much praise.
  20. New Day are pretty much lifers in WWE at this point, unless they just decide to leave and I don't see AEW not being a thing anytime soon but strangely enough I was just thinking about how Xavier Woods vs Omega is a dream match of mine. I believe they could have a match on the level of Omega’s matches with Okada
  21. Sami Zane got to be in a few segments and a main Event, he's constantly been the best heel in company. Good to see him in a prominent spot with out being associated with Owen's. And Big E is the next big thing, he was great earlier on an the quiet but dominant big man. Him in the New Day it brought out his personality for sure but he seems much more of a threat being a man of few words and being serious.
  22. First full Smackdown I've watched in a long long time. It delivered all the way through. It really felt like the wanted to make the best out of the rub they got from NFL. Really hit home its Rumble time and Mania season, so if you were a lapsed fan or catching in , this was a perfect show to get people hooked. Between Bryan announcing he's in the Rumble and Owen getting screwed the title picture looks hot right now. That tag title match was fun too. Bel Air is ready to be in that title, she's the polar opposite of Nia Jaxx as far as working ability. If I decided to pick one WWE show to watch every week it would be Smackdown because it looks solid up and down the card and most importantly they have guys right now can get invested in outside of just having great matches which isn't hard to come by in any promotion. I could just continue to just live off the monthly PPVs and not watch the weekly TV but tonight was the first time in a long time that I felt compelled to watch again next week
  23. Watched the rest of the show tonight except for the main event. I watched the 8 man tag on the Pre show which was an excellent showcase for Smackdowns midcard. I hope Big E gets the Main Event spot at Mania. The segment he did with Sami and Truth was my first time seeing him as a serious act again. The women's tag was good too, I missed Charlotte but I think it was great that she's been away because she's ran through the division several times over. Reigns vs Steen was really good too, I was aware of the criticism because of Jey Uso running in several time and no one helping Owen's but WWEs lack of logic in these matches don't bother me like it would in other promotions. I know it was meant to get across the deal with Jey and Roman as well as make Steen strong in defeat but it made Roman look not as strong. He's done a great job at showing his mean streak but I can see how all that interference can take people out of it. This was a dope show overall, I refuse to watch that main event though because it will probably bring the show down several levels in my mind.
  24. Watched the first 3 matches from TLC and I enjoyed them all. I want Drew vs AJ again. Drew is such a good seller, alot of times he sells with that glassy look in his eyes. If he was around 25 years ago Vince would tell him not to sell so much especially for a guy AJs size. I was impressed by Carmella here, I'm sure Sasha did alot to make it good but Carmella brought it. She just threw too many superkicks. I wasn't expecting an apron spot either. Hurt Business vs New Day was good. All the Hurt Business members have been great since they formed. Shelton is still very good. He's always top notch when he's in a spot with a direction plus he's a great tag team wrestler. His team with Gable was one of the best things on Smackdown at the time. And of course New Day brings it and are way more enjoyable when they aren't facing guys they've faced 1000 times.
  25. I doubt it, all those guys in charge especially Tony Khan is a mark for JR. I'm sure Khan wishes JR was more into the product but realistically, He watched enough NJPW on AXStv to know that JR isn't that much of a fan of current wrestling and honestly I believe Tony Khan had a vision for AEW to have alot of MidSouth influence that would impress JR. Also I'm sure he felt like just having him on the team would benefit the locker room and other staff by being a consultant to people. With people like Schiavone, Tully, Arn, Sting people like that around, I'm sure he's enjoying being around alot more. Even during the Attitude era , JR had his way of shitting on things he's not a fan of so it's no different here. I still thing his voice adds to AEW. If your an old fan stumbling across AEW and you hear JR on the call you might not change the channel. The casual fan isn't gonna be paying attention to JR's lack of enthusiasm like people like us. He's still better than the overly produced commentary in WWE. Unless you're Samoa Joe or in NXT it's impossible to be a good commentator. JR is far from Pat Patterson in than even as time went on he seemed to be just as enthusiastic about the business as he was in the beginning and even pitching ideas he did it in a way where he was constructive in his criticism by adding his ideas .
