  1. Perhaps but I don't understand why anyone who's lived through the Monday night Wars would want another monopoly of Mainstream North American Wrestling whether or not your a fan of either promotion. If TK was to Purchase WWE I'm sure Hunter, Regal and Shawn Michaels would be in really good standing
  2. Not necessarily on this Board but I'm surprised how many people actually think this is a Possibility outside of just jokingly coming up with scenarios and memes. Although alot of the shifts in WWE Businesswise if you'd would told me it would have happened 2 years ago I'd be calling you a liar. The geeky business aspect of wrestling is going to be very interesting for me to follow the next 6 months or so. I wonder if this was an ingenious move by Vince to get the focus off his scandals by hoping back in the boardroom first because we all know he wants to eventually get back running the show but if he went back to Guerrilla first, I dont think people would get past all the accusations that's already out not to mention what is assumed to be coming forth.
  3. Stings TNA run didn't get bad until Hogan and Bischoff took over. Honestly if They hadn't took over and he still worked some really decent matches then he probably would have been cool with hanging up his boots then. The Joker Sting was really fun Character work too but that was during the Hogan/Bischoff era where he was booked in terrible matches with terrible finishes. In AEW he's been booked so well.
  4. Even if they came to or closing a deal with the Saudis, do you think they would try to hold off till Wrestlemania to announce something. I'd think at this point it would be almost impossible to kayfabe everyone for that long. If they were to announce something like that before Mania, it would probably mess up plans for people like Rock or Cena who maybe not want to be connected to that at this time.
  5. Do you really think really think some of the people HHH bought back would really just Walk out? The moment it was announced that Vince was back in the boardroom, it was speculated that guys were in fear of getting cut even before it seemed Saudi would be likely to buy WWE. Some of you guys here talked about how it's a common practice for big mass releases to happen during an event of a Sell so why not just wait to get released instead. I can see Sami and Owens for obvious reasons deciding walk out on their own and maybe one or two other people.
  6. The wrestling business doesn't need to be monopolized again for X amount of years
  7. We all know Vince isn't going to let people go just because they aren't his model of what a wrestler is. Alot of talent he let go fit his vision very well more than most. Some were kept on because the value they would have to AEW and elsewhere. Even some of the talent Vince didn't make available that TK brought in having been used properly and some ,like Athena is just now finding her groove in AEW. I think if Vince decides he has to cut a ton on people for a sale he might as well just end the developmental system for now. If it's for logistics. All that untrained talent and the people and the resources used to keep it up over the talent already on TV. It'll look bad Regardless if Vince Cherry picks most the guys Hunter brought back at once. Plus I doubt Vince would remember every single talent he signed off for whatever reason. He might wake up today with a completely different list of people he'd want to get rid of and some of Hunters guys might not make the cut without Vince knowing the difference
  8. When The Rock tweeted his praise and connection to Nick Kahn the idea of The Rock owning WWE seemed like something somewhat plausible. Basically the same scenario as Rock buying XFL from Vince. If there is heat between Hunter and Vince it would be ironic for Hunter and even Shawn to have to answer to Rock even though I doubt Rock would be as hand on ad Vince was. If Vince was to sell the Company then I think convincing Rock to attain Ownership would be the best case for Vince because it would keep the company in the hands of a Wrestling guy and the Rock is beloved enough even outside of wrestling that it would create enough positive buzz. Plus he'd be a 3rd Generation promoter. Unless Vince wants to sell it out of spite, Selling it to another network or major corporation is risky because you don't Ownership of your company the hands of people who may not value Pro Wrestling
  9. Most of us thought it was likely Vince would be back in charge. I don't think he's just going to come in and start releasing the people he'd just cut within the last year of him being in charge. More likely most of them will likely not be used or not on the main programming. Honestly Vince probably won't remember who he let go the first time around. People like Nick Kahn would probably tell Vince to be careful of who he releases and the pace he does it because I imagine it wouldn't be a good look to release guys that he recently cut and was bought back while he was gone to avoid backlash.
  10. I don't know what that move was she was going for but the entrance music sounds lit. I think I'm resubscribing to New Japan World after 3 years this month. I want to watch Ospreay vs Omega and be able to catch up with what's currently going on and be able to watch the February PPV
  11. I liked that he didn't have an over the top personality like everyone else. I was dope seeing him take people out. Russo's obsession with worked shoot angles really ruined him though. Wasn't he going to be apart of the Ministry as the Beast? I wasn't a fan of that group but atleast they would have reintroduced him under a different character. Just let him take out folks like early on in his run
  12. Maybe so,l but even as a kid who wasn't exposed to UFC or didn't know anything about his career on the indies, he got over with me his first few months. I thought he legit cracked D'Lo collar bone and he came across as a world beater until they decided to redo Owen Hart breaking Austin's neck with Severn as Austin. Why do an angle like that anyway especially with a shooter like Severn. That really killed any momentum he had. He wasn't a promo guy or a character guy but it seems like Russo liked to book UFC talent strong and he's definitely not someone Vince would want to Push but he had a history with Shamrock that Russo wanted to play off of
  13. I agree with Meltzer here. Outside of getting a chance to put on the lengthy matches on Dynamite and Rampage that might get people talking for a week or 2 then WWE is the better option anyway. I don't see him getting a sustained push going in. It's still dope seeing Hunter putting over someone he signed that has already has a relatively big name outside of WWE. Ricochet is finally getting featured as Strong presence on the main roster after all this time. If they want to they could match Lee up against Ricochet or Ali. Hunter could actually push the guy. Unless start hiring more known talent from the outside for NXT to hopefully draw on the road then they may as well bring him straight to the main roster

  15. Isn't Kiera Hogan her next feud? They need to have a line up of fresh challengers like hee who are much better workers that can take L's from Jade. She needs more competitive matches against people like Kiera before you have the top Women drop falls to her. This streak is cool but even Goldberg was having matches on TV once or Twice a week. Even if the matches were short and once he started feuding with the Flock, his matches with Saturn were really great matches and I think they probably were a bigger part of him coming along the way he did. It's going to be difficult because the have her as TBS champ, Athena as ROH and Hayter as Women's champ to try to differentiate divisions
  16. Swerve is the missing ingredient to HitRow and not just Because he was The worker of the group. He was the whole glue for that group
  17. Even without all the rumors these past 4 -5 years of WWE preparing themselves to be sold. I wouldn't be surprised if these big corporations were all of a sudden just interested in buying WWE after Vince Stepped down. Given how everyone was panicking about the executive changes in Warner Media and how that could possibly effect AEWs television deals in the future. It would definitely be a concern for people in and outside of WWE as to how they'd be treated by any of these big corporations if they bought WWE. Regardless of all the Creative and the uninspired workrate at the end of WCW but ultimately it was ended because the Network decided they didn't want it any more. On top of that they sold it to their direct competition for little to nothing. That has to factor into Vince's mind when he thinks about selling it
  18. How is Toni Storms Numbers currently? I'm sure she's not getting anywhere close to the same amount of subscribers as when she started her OF. She probably still pulling some strong numbers given that she's still on National TV and still near the top of the Women's division but the buzz of her doing that content isn't what it was when she started. Mandy's buzz of doing this type of content might last a little longer especially she's actively posting edgier content to keep people hooked but alot of those subs will taper off eventually to the point where it becomes less edgier and they'll consider bringing hee back. I see Mandy riding this out till it dies down enough for her to be brought back which was probably they deal from the beginning of this being an issue
  19. She was doing full nudes? I'm confused. Toni Storm was doing bikini shots. Most women at her level can get away with showing as little as possible that is damn near robbery to pay for these sites lol. It seems like they released her on good terms. I'm sure she'll be hired right back once her subscribers start to go down. She was probably going to drop the belt to Roxy next month anyway. I don't see AEW picking her up,especially if they get Sasha. If there is the slightest bit of interest from AEW I doubt they'd try to out bid her over WWE. It doesn't look good for WWE that if your not a top paid Women in WWE you can just do your own projects like this and get paid of that same fanbase independently. It's even worse for them in this case because she was the Roman Reigns of the NXT Women as far as how protected she's been
  20. If your going to end Jades streak this early, then Sasha would be the person and I do believe she'd give hee her best match as I'm sure she's gotten good matches out of people as green or greener than Jade. I'd like to see her against Saraya first because the obvious backstory but guys would see that as a WWE match. With Vince, if he does come back and assume power again then I doubt with announce it form formally
  21. If AEW was to have Sasha it would be the biggest acquisition since Bryan. The biggest grab for their Women's division by far but I'm not confident they'll book that division the way it it should have been book. Even NWA at times has had a better Women's division that AEW since it started up so I think it'll be great if she works Japan. Working Japan is something she's wanted to do so honestly that's the good thing about her possibly having a career in wrestling outside of WWE.
  22. I never understood the criticism TK was getting for having ROH matches on AEW TV anyway. They've done a good at keeping it separate for the most part and it's no different from when they had Omega as Impact champ on Dynamite or the NWA women's champ defending on Dynamite. It makes since to keep these ROH guys in people's consciousness until they get on TV. I also think why people expect Ring of Honor to just get a TV right out thep gate. TK hasn't even had it a year and people expect to just have a deal out the gate
  23. Because he's on TV every week it's hard to believe he's only wrestled a short amount of TV matches. He shows up on Raw almost every week too and he goes all out in his matches just as when he was working every week. I don't remember if it was Alvarez or someone on F4Wonline I was listening to a few weeks ago pointed out how Roman could barely stand up out of his chair in a backstage segment indicating why he probably asked to work less matches in his new contract but it's obviously not showing in his match because he definitely brings it. And I'm sure showing up every week ensures his cousins stay in a good slot but I expect him not to be showing up as much when he finally drops those titles.
  24. AEW has booked its World Champ not to defend the title on TV all the time anyway. WWE has done the same with Reigns as well for this run and he's appeared on TV every week so it's really nothing different except MJF is saying it to get heat. Unless MJF goes out and says he's only going to defend on PPVs then that would work since they don't do monthly PPVs. Danielson or Mox don't wrestle every week either. TK often does have some of his full-time uppercard talent wrestle every week either
  25. I agree with you on both parts, I felt the same way the first time Sasha was away and I don't see AEW as a good place for her any more today either. They've got some good talent but only Brit Baker is the only possible money match. A Saraya match has a built in story but other than that you have a few matchups that might be excellent work wise but nothing that could draw viewers at this point. It would suck if Regal is leaving but for him his value as an on screen talent has risen if he goes back to WWE. If he does return he'll probably be on NXT but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Hunter has him on the main roster, at least starting out an then put him back on NXT TV unless Tony Kahn has a deal were he can't show up on WWE TV for part of his release.
