  2. PI calls/non-calls need to be subject to challenge/replay review like it is in Canada.
  3. and the rest... 4. Oh totally agreed, but at this point I'll take what I can get. Incremental progress.
  5. He had the perfect facial expression for a guy who just watched his best power threat pop out on two pitches and realize his season was now in the hands of some kid entered via double switch who nobody had heard of. I hope somebody got a .gif of that.
  6. The "Kershaw turns into a pumpkin in the postseason" narrative is pretty overblown. The Dusty Curse, on the other hand...?
  7. Hell of a catch by Josh Reddick in the bottom of the 6th. Didn't quite fist pump but it did put a smile on my face to see Josh come up big, new uniform notwithstanding. Especially after his throw was strong enough yet offline allowing Murphy to score early in the game. [This is as close as it gets, Grilledcheese ]
  8. Do like the revival of the old orange D surrounding the white horse on the Bronco helmets
  9. Denver for tonight, rest to follow
  10. Also, let's be fair here. The Nationals are a paper tiger until proven otherwise and Dusty's as star-crossed as they come (as Craig and I and any DVDVR Reds fan who I've failed to notice can tell you). I'll believe the Nats can actually win a playoff series when I see it, not before. yeah but that was against the (and Piranesi, I say this with love) FUCKING Cardinals and the Red Sox still looming in the AL. Special Circumstances, man. Plus, the Dodgers have a shit ton of good young players and money, and they've already won the division 4 years in a row. If they go all the way they might not stop for a while. I can't be having that. They have good ownership now, I can't trust your team to implode anymore.
  11. Josh Reddick and the 87 other ex-A's on the Dodger roster deserve to be on the right end of a Game 5 for once. But a rivalry is a rivalry and I haven't forgotten Kirk Gibson, so...
  12. Welp, now that it's pried out of my cold dead hand, I hope you get to find out how I felt in 2010. [For real though they better fucking beat The Dodgers too.]
  13. Congratulations and good fortune the rest of the way, Craig
  14. Pretty Par For The Course for the 2016 Giants since the all star break. What has been a strength of the team has abruptly become really, really bad.
  15. The desperate search for anybody in the bullpen who can actually get a 9th inning out continues. An apropos disaster.
  16. Connor Gillaspie Is The Master And The Ruler Of The World
  17. Kershaw on short rest today for The Dodgers. I thought that might happen. No point in saving him for tomorrow if they don't win today. And really, when your season is on the line, you have to go with your best guy.
  18. The 2016 Giants bullpen resumes it's impression of the entire 2000s Tigers Bullpen.
  19. Conor Gillaspie fits the Ryan Vogelsong/Travis Ishikawa "start out in the Giants organization, get dealt away, fall out of major league baseball and flirt with retirement, get picked back up on an afterthought" mold that is the lifeblood of Even Year Bullshit.
  20. Joe West's comprehensive collection of incriminating photos of top MLB officials has once again earned him a spot in the postseason, as he is part of the 6 man ALDS crew. Because if the Jays and Rangers are going to have a wrestlingesque grudge match, you might as well have baseball's version of the Rudo Referee there too.
  21. Thursday, October 6 Arizona at San Francisco Sunday, October 9 Washington at Baltimore New England at Cleveland (or, Psycho Sid vs Lee Scott, more likely) Philadelphia at Detroit Chicago at Indianapolis Tennessee at Miami Houston at Minnesota NY Jets at Pittsburgh Atlanta at Denver Cincinnati at Dallas Buffalo at Los Angeles San Diego at Oakland NY Giants at Green Bay Monday, October 10 Tampa Bay at Carolina Tiebreaker #1: Ryan Shitzpatrick interceptions thrown vs Pit 4 Tiebreaker #2: New England Patriots points scored vs Cle Tom Brady returning in full F.U. mode? 52 Tiebreaker #3: Denver Bronco sacks vs Atl 5
