  1. My thoughts... It would be fucking awesome if Francis won. But Anderson Silva lost a boxing match to Jake Paul so I no longer believe a god will allow us such happiness.
  2. The bad news, Bears offense was bad. The good news, I'm only on a 7 day free trial for this Youtube TV Sunday Ticket.
  3. Why did I get my hopes up? Football is the worst sport.
  4. I can't even tell you how much I hate the Orange unis. I hate them a lot.
  5. Justin Fields looks like if Analysis Paralysis was a person today. Breaking my heart.
  6. I think earlier in the year when there was another judge controversy, it was discussed how there are some judges who sometimes get caught in the narratives. I actually believe that giving Grasso a 10-8 was a judge avoiding upsetting the narrative of the night. I don't think it's some grand conspiracy, I just think he got it wrong. He's only human after all. I don't think Shevchenko was crazy saying what she said. It's a genuine possibility. Cruz and Cormier both mentioned that the only way he could justify a 10-8 was because it looked like it was close to a finish. The problem with that was Grasso almost finished it in the 2nd. And you could also say that about the round where Valentina almost choked Alexa out in the 3rd. It's just a terribly inconsistent scorecard, that looks like it was written by a person who wanted to avoid any responsibility. All that being said... One judge scored it 3-2, for Grasso, and I actually think that's fine too. To me it's who won Round 4, and depending on what you value - you can go either way. So maybe a draw is the right result, but I don't think how we got there was right. It felt like bullshit. And I think the ladies deserved something better because they put on a great fight. Also Noche Night (lo sé, I know) was a pretty awesome idea, and I can't believe they only now thought to do it.
  7. 1. Roman Kopylov is nasty. Ready to start seeing that cat facing ranked guys. 2. I don't know if I'll ever see an armbar look as brutal as the one Loopy Godinez had on Elise Reed- and still not get a tap. I thought that girl's arm was going to snap for sure.
  8. Tracy Cortez came back with some hands. Really fun fight.
  9. I dunno. Everlast's "What it's Like" has to be one of my least favorite walkout songs I've heard in a while.
  10. Frustratingly, the way the editor works, the color for Quote box areas is the same as areas like the notification box. So adjusting one - adjusts the other. So I've just gone with a flat black for now.
  11. Sounds like the "this win will need an asterisk by it" call is going to be this year's hottest trend among NFL commentators.
  12. I actually kind of agree with that sentiment. I think most folks believe it's possible that any fighter, Strickland included, can hit that lotto ticket shot. It just takes one. Perreira was losing before he beat Izzy. Edwards was losing before he beat Usman. And if Sean had gotten the stoppage in the first, it would've been amazing, but I wouldn't say it was an improbable outcome. But Sean Strickland basically won at everything all night long against one of the greatest fighters in the world. Flash KO? I'd believe it. But actually flummoxing Adesanya, and receiving no significant damage? That had to have seemed impossible to everyone going into this fight. So I'd say it's gotta be one of the biggest upsets in the history of the game. ------ As far as what's next, I side with Daniel Cormier with this one. Izzy should probably take a minute. DDP should probably get the next shot. But it's possible that if Khamzat absolutely destroys Costa, "Borz" will leapfrog. Of course there's also Cannonier, who dismantled Vettori, and now can say he has a win over the champ. All at once the division got more complicated, but more fun.
  13. Tough loss. Tai had the right game plan with the leg kicks and it was effective. It's just too bad he couldn't keep his balance better. Volkov is in a tough position. He's got losses to Aspinall, Gane and Blaydes, who are ahead of him. Stipe and Jones aren't an option, which leaves Sergei Pavlovich who's not looking back for anyone right now.
  14. Over the last year, I've been dying laughing at Daniel Cormier's evolution of the post fight interview. When he started doing them, guys would grab the mic after he did the "Give it up one last time for so and so." It's the cringiest shit when a fighter does that. So over the last 9 months Cormier has gotten really good at pivoting away from the fighter and shielding the the mic. Then he started doing this thing, especially on ESPN fight night cards, where he'll fast walk away and give the final line as he's heading out the door. I wish he snapped on Kape and Radtke like he did that dude on the last ABC card who said fuck.
  15. Carlos Ulberg looked good, but calling out Dominick Reyes seems like a weak call out. Especially considering Ulberg will probably be ranked next to him, or even given his spot without even having to fight him.
  16. On a brighter note, Laura Sanko is doing her first PPV on commentary tonight, and probably should be doing more in the future.
  17. Hey all. I was farting around with the themes to try and figure out what, if anything, was broken from updates. I've heard some some work on well on mobile and some don't play nice. I can't say I really learned anything in my digging around, but I'll keep tinkering with it and will try not to break the board. Anyway. While I was in the editor I decided to make a Dallas Cowboys inspired theme in honor of Dean. I wish I did it a long time ago so the man could have enjoyed it himself. So if you're a Dallas fan. a Dean fan, or really like Navy Blue and Silver, you can check that out.
