He hit that and didn't even go for the pin. A babyface would've gone for the pin, and after a kickout tried for his MURDERDEATHKILL finisher. Instead Finn nails the stomp and immediately picks up Neville to kill him with the MURDERDEATHKILL. That's something a heel does.

Balor is totally turning heel soon. They are ramping up his heel mannerisms, like the Long stare at the Balor Club graphic and the unnecessary spike DDT at the finish of the match. He's going to be a total dickhead.

I know he's not tall, but with a physique like that he should be mowing over guys. He's selling too much. I think the selling is hurting him coming up with a crisp and well-defined moveset and routine with the crowd. He just seems stiff (not in a good way) and boring.

Just got a ticket for NXT Charlotte. Pretty excited, even though I'm sitting alone (my one wrestling fan friend couldn't get off of work to go). I'm Floor section 3, row six, seat eight. I saw Deadpool last Saturday, it had some funny parts, but it was mostly meh for me. I can see how others liked it. I got burned out on comics about 10 years ago due to DC having a rash of arms being torn off and Marvel's seemingly never ending event cycle. If comics are trending towards a more lighthearted, kid-friendly feel, that's awesome. I'll gladly plead ignorance. I didn't like Ant-Man because it was a remake of the first Iron Man with less charm. My comment was more of a response to studios seeing Deadpool make a boatload of money and all of the sudden realizing that they can make R-rated movies of things they make action figures of. I don't think it bodes well.

For most of my life (I'm 38) and probably dating back to the mid-to-late 1960s there's been a movement within superhero entertainment (comics and movies) to move it away from entertainment directed at the wonders and imaginations of kids and teens and more towards a more cynical and increasingly violent tone aimed at unfuckable MMA fans in their twenties and thirties who consider Die Hard a Christmas movie. As this shift has happened in the comics and now in the movies, the movies stopped being fun and even stopped being as creative. Then ultimately they stop being as successful. So yeah, fuck R-rated superhero flicks and comics.

Holy shit, the Hurricanes are a damn good team now. 11-4-3 in their last 18 games played, and according to a stat line I just read on Twitter, Cam Ward hasn't lost in regulation since 12/29. He is 6-0-4 with a 1.90 GAA and .930 save% in that span. This is just insane. Eric Staal isn't scoring, our top defenseman is out and the team are just beasts in spite of it all. Sunday they play Tampa in an actual meaningful game. A meaningful game in February, how crazy is that? This team is fun. It's fun to be a fan right now.
