  1. One thing I loved about their entrance is that you could hear the massive “COWBOY SHIT” chant behind the video package to the point that I think they had to turn the crowd sound so that we could hear the voiceover. Then The Elite gets massive boos right after, it just feels right.
  2. Rewatched a few parts of the show this morning and just noticed that Nick and Matt were both announced at 6’6’’. That whole Elite entrance was so ridiculous, might be one of my favourites of all time.
  3. Gotta nominate the Elite vs Hangman / Dark Order from tonight’s Dynamite. This was glorious all the way from the amazing entrances to the surprising ending.
  4. Need to finish the main event, but gotta say i LOVED the opener, one of my favourite AEW matches ever by far. Those entrances were tremendous and the whole thing gave me Canadian Stampede vibes at the beginning. Hangman’s story is about accepting that failing sometimes is OK, so I hope they find another way to get to the title match at All about because the time definitely is right for him. ALSO Fuego in a Nightmare Family jacket!
  5. I don’t think AEW has booked a single match during the same show in their entire existence which is surprising. I keep waiting for it to happen but they are really committed to their pre announced cards.
  6. My cousin confirmed tacks hit everyone in his section near the front row. Wrestling fans laughed it off of course.
  7. We had “broken glass” in AEW before too so I can see light tubes being used. Maybe more around the stage away from the fans to be safe?
  8. Only issue with the Andrade segment was that it was laid out so badly, lots of start-stop and wasted time. What’s the point of Tony “starting” an interview only to get interrupted right away? Why have Andrade make his full entrance only to right away announce Chavo so we have to watch another full entrance? Just skip Tony altogether and introduce him at the top of the ramp and then start the segment properly. Then he jumped back and fort from Spanish but I think he did it when he felt lost speaking English. I’d rather he just commit to speaking one for the whole promo and use Chavo or Alex to translate. This is all coming from a native Spanish speaker btw.
  9. I think that outside of the face of WWE guys (Reigns/Cena) or Brock, Daniel Bryan is easily the biggest signing AEW could possibly ever do. It’s exciting when actual active top guys jump ship and not just the classic “misused midcarders”. I think he would be only the second case of this happening after Moxley, but Ambrose was never really seen to be in the same level Bryan was in WWE.
  10. Exactly I remember a few weeks ago we had those Friday/Saturday night Dynamites and it felt like an eternity having to wait from the previous Wednesday.
  11. He actually got a good piece chomped off his hand. Pic on Instagram: *****GRAPHIC WARNING***** https://www.instagram.com/p/CRNIJ11pZKs/?utm_medium=copy_link
  12. New Jackass Forever trailer just released. Not sure if anyone is a fan here but this show and movies were a massive part of my teenage years and probably shaped my sense of humour for life. I thought the last one had the perfect closure and didn’t need a fourth one but just the opening images of this trailer gave me crazy feels of nostalgia.
  13. Just remembered another one that doesn't get mentioned often and it's one of the few instance where I think the massive amount of LED screens looked cool, Wrestlemania 26. The Red and Yellow/Gold colour scheme also looked great IMO:
  14. For me this is the best stage of all time, give me something like this over a million LED screens any day. I’m still hoping that AEW goes for something like this whenever they decide to refresh the Dynamite look. Even WWF used a more raw looking version of this for some of their IYH shows in 97-98. I just love this style of set over any other in history. I think it looks so much more badass than huge sets with screens everywhere taking half the arena. Go to minute 7:00 My only exception to this rule is NJPW Wrestle Kingdom sets. They go for the big stage/ramp set up but they don’t look as shiny and polished as what WWE does so it’s a pretty awesome look.
  15. This is another video package that’s 23 years old now but I remember finding it so epic the first time I saw it when I was 11 that it’s still in my head to this day.
  16. It’s weird we all fondly remember in detail the My Way and My Sacrifice video packages from 20 years ago, but can anyone name any another well remembered video from the past 5-10 years or so? (Apart from Daniel Bryan’s “Monster” one)?
  17. AEW announcing the whole card a week (or more) in advance is one of the things I appreciate the most about them. Even as a kid I found it illogical how WWF/E would come up with the main event for the show during an opening promo or brawl. You mean Godfather vs. Viscera was the original scheduled main event?
  18. Damn that show was a joy to watch. - The whole show had an amazing presentation and look, the stage and arena just looked great and we didn’t get any missed camera shots. Just came off really professional and like a big deal. Almost looked like the video game Dynamite arena if that makes sense. - The crowd was SO HAPPY to see everyone and it made the whole event more enjoyable. Felt like some Attitude era level pops every time someone came out. Massive reactions for Darby, Sammy, Starks, Jungle Boy, Sting and the whole Page/Dark Order vs The Elite segment. The heat when Don Callis started speaking was nuclear too. - Speaking of that segment, I am HYPED for this feud. The whole thing gave me strong flashbacks to the Yes Movement occupying Raw from 2014. Big thumbs up to everyone involved here, beautiful stuff. - I loved seeing the crowd cheering Starks over Cage, we all know who the real star there is and it’s nice people appreciated this. There were a ton of matches and segments tonight, like a ridiculous amount of stuff happened but everything flowed so well and nothing felt rushed, except maybe the Mox/Anderson match which felt a bit short. Overall one of my favourite Dynamites top to bottom in a long time, this should be the balance they should aim for every week IMO.
