  1. I should admit I'm pretty biased because a lot of guys I still keep contact with from wrestling are also good buddies with him, but I'm real high on him. I've got to see him work in person a few times here in St. Louis and he ALWAYS tears it up. And he has an innate charisma and likeability. He's something really special. I'm a big fan of the guy myself. First saw him at the first NPWD and figured him and Chiva Kid were both going to end up getting signed with someone after the show. If you can point me in the direction of some of the best stuff you've seen of him it would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Sixers are sending the Doctor and a piece of glass from a backboard Chocolate Thunder shattered in the 70s, so I like their odds!
  3. They are basically the 2010 Flyers or the 2012 Devils in that everything broke their way to win the East but I just don't see them beating either the Hawks or Kings. The one good thing about the Rangers making the finals is that one of my best friends will extend his streak of cup finals attended to 5 (and he hasn't missed a Calder Cup final since 2004).
  4. If any of you are planning on getting the aniversary show spend the extra $5 for the deluxe edition. The unedited version of the Styles-Elgin match alone is worth it.
  5. Coming home after the ROH-NJPW show at Hammerstein Ballroom. Thought it was freaking awesome and easily worth the $20.
  6. Montreal in 6 Chicago in 7 1) 3 2) Over 3) 12
  7. Nobody has noted this, but the real key play of the game was the idiotic foul at the end of the first quarter that gifted the Heat two points. That may have been the single stupidest play I have ever seen a player made. Just let the guy take a half court prayer.
  8. Heat fans who are not from Florida are this generation's version of Bulls fans who weren't from Chicago. Both are a blight on humanity.
  9. At least John Tavares is making an impact in the postseason (the only people who are going to get that are Canadians and people from Buffalo).
  10. Lucic acting like a punk on the handshake line was hilarious.
  11. Nets choke like dogs. They have no cojones.
  12. Using that theory Marv Albert should be the next coach.
  13. The creative people of Westchester County have come up with a creative and unique name for the new D League team that will play in White Plains: The Westchester Knicks. At least they are using an homage to the original Knicks logo.
  14. We dodged a bullet here as I don't see why everyone thinks Kerr is the second coming of Red Holtzman. Would love to see Jackson come home.
  15. Just waiting for Lebron to strike the Nets down and kill my dream of a game 6 (one last game in Brooklyn this season to go to).
  16. Track down Ron Francis and have him fire one on goal from the blue line.
  17. Heat aren't going to lose another game in the East. Nets or Raptors would've taken either of these two teams in a series.
  18. Nets mortgaging their future for the corpses of Pierce and Garnett is turning out to be a terrible move. Add in the Deron Williams contract and the cap hell they are in and Billy King has to be on thin ice.
  19. Just had to be fucking Bosh. Now the Mets can blow it and add to my misery.
  20. Was fun while it lasted. Time to die for the Nets.
  21. Nets handed out shirts so they have a shot tonight. Hell, who am I kidding, they are doomed. At least they won a game.
  22. *postponing(Please don't ban me Pete said he loved me in the soccer thread and you wouldn't want to break his heart!) If nothing else, I don't like this new found timidity. FSW is doing the old Steve Corino in ROH angle where he is fighting his natural urge to be a heel and tries to stay on the straight and narrow.
  23. Some of that is fair, but if the Bulls were talentless mugs why did the Nets do everything in their power to avoid facing them? Think the Bulls are a lot better than you give them credit for being. You make them sound like they are the Sixers.
  24. Some live notes from last night at Barclays: atmosphere was 1000x better than any of the Toronto games, this one had a real playoff atmosphere. Only thing is that a significant part of the crowd didn't show up until the 2nd quarter. I still can't understand why NBA fans don't show up on time, especially with an 8pm start time. Also can't understand why so many people ignored the pleas from the team to put on the shirt that was on their seat. The Heat fans I can understand, but everyone else I don't get. As for the Heat fans, you had a bunch of the "I've been a big fan since Lebron" types, which I can't stand. I do have respect for the ones who had Zo jerseys because they were legit fans, not bandwagon types. As an aside The Heat fans on this board are of the legit variety and could probably be able to reference the days of Ronnie Seikley, so they get props from me. As for the game, Lebron was booed every time he touched the ball. Miami's ball movement is amazing to watch live. As much shit as Lebron gets he is also amazing to watch live, he is worth the price of admission all by himself.
  25. Between the NHL playoffs and the NBA am I the only one who hasn't seen an episode of either Raw or Smackdown in over a month?
