  1. How much Browns football do you watch? I watch a good bit, and I agree McCown is probably bottom 5 starters in the league, but Johnny looks incompetant. McCown is someone who is not very good at his job, but Johnny is someone who got hired to do a job without the proper education/qualifications. One person will hold it down until you get someone else, the other is someone who is going to drag everyone else down with him. Pretty much none, but it's almost the same situation in Washington where there are irrational Skins fan who point to Cousins' record prior to this year as to why they think Brittle Bob should still be the starting QB, no matter how bad he is. Notwithstanding the fact that Cousins has only had limited spot starts here and there and deserved at least an extended run at starter to at least show what he can do.
  2. Again, Manziel has only had 3 starts. That is not enough time to accurately determine how good a NFL QB is. And I'm not sure how you think McCown is much better than Manziel is. Did you see McCown last year in Tampa Bay? And that 61/51 TD/INT ratio includes the 2013 Chicago year where somehow McCown had 13 TDs to 1 INT. Take that out and he's a bad QB. The only thing he really has over Manziel is the good old "veteran presence" stigma.
  3. McCown, including that run in Chicago, has a 17-32 record. He's thrown 61 TDs to 51 INTs. Do you really think starting McCown over Manziel will guarantee more wins for the Browns?
  4. According to Pro Football Reference, McCown has had 50 career starts while Manziel has had 3 career starts. Everyone knows that McCown is at best an average QB other than that one run in Chicago, so why not give Manziel a few more starts to see what he can do? It's not like Cleveland really expects to be a playoff contender, right?
  5. ESPN's reporting that Cowboys have traded for Matt Cassel.
  6. True. Again, though, it seems of a bit of a waste to have a player only for short yardage situations, especially when roster spots are so valuable. You would need Tebow to possibly play on special teams too, for example.
  7. I think it's partly because teams would have to have him as the backup since third string QBs are emergency only (unless they changed that rule; correct me if I'm wrong). I don't think teams want to dedicate a primary roster spot to the football equivalent of a LOOGY, especially if the team has a decent backup.
  8. With the Skins cutting one of their worst draft choices (and that's saying a lot) in David Amerson, the following is a perfect example of why they've been such a shitty team:
  9. Ok, delusional Skins fans are already suggesting that RG3 be traded to the Cowboys.
  10. So assuming Romo's out for the rest of the season, your NFC East starting QBs are Weedon, Bradford, Cousins and Eli. That's a WHOLE ton of mediocre.
  11. So does this leave the NFC East wide open? I will laugh and laugh and laugh if the Skins backdoor their way to the division title.
  12. Well, this has been the best the entire Skins team has looked since Brittle Bob's rookie year.
  13. You can't enforce two personal foul penalties by the same team on a single play? Huh, didn't know that.
  14. The Skins need to bug the locker rooms during halftime.
  15. Here comes the Skins collapse...
  16. Hey, Cousins, don't throw a pass when there's 4 defenders around the receiver.
  17. Does that mean we'll be getting a That's Incredible revival in the 2030s?
  18. Thank god Orakpo isn't on the Skins any more so that Dick Stockton could mispronounce his name all game.
  19. Kansas City New England Carolina Arizona San Diego Tennessee Detroit New Orleans NY Giants Pittsburgh Washington Miami Baltimore Philadelphia Green Bay Indianapolis Tienbeaker #1: 4 Tiebreaker #2: 38 Tiebreaker #3: 126
  20. New trailer for The Program Ben Foster revealed that he underwent Armstrong's doping program to better understand the role. And the person they chose to play Landis really looks like him a lot. I never got around to reading Walsh's book, but I wonder how much of the movie will mention Landis's fall from grace and the whole story behind why he went to the feds which basically started the ball rolling.
  21. Well, at least the Skins were sort of competitive...
  22. Uh...doesn't the stupid CBS announcer remember that all turnovers are automatically reviewed?
  23. And the Skins special teams shows up.
