The fact that they didn’t announce it for the Dome yet makes me think they will do it at WTL Finals or Road to Tokyo Dome. Ospreay is hurt but he’s recovering and will probably be ready for the Dome. Anyway, I like Jay White’s character but his only match that has truly impressed me is the Juice Robinson match in Cow Palace. He’s a good not great worker to me. I’m bracing for Okada’s worst Dome match since his first one against YOSHI-HASHI.

This is probably the first time that I can say this about an NJPW show in the current era: the midcard matches look better than the headliners. Omega/Tanahashi will probably be MOTN but KUSHIDA/Ishimori, ZSJ/Ishii, and presumably Ibushi/Ospreay all look way better to me than Naito/Jericho and Okada/White.

I assume they will just do Cody/Juice rematch for the US Title? I really don’t see any other potential viable challengers and it’s not like Cody will show up to build a new feud either.

There is no way in hell that they are leaving Cody and the US Title off the show. The guy just main evented KOPW and has gotten several IWGP Title shoes. I’m not a fan of him at all but NJPW clearly sees him as an important player. Also how will GOD be in the six man if they are the tag champs?

So, WTF is Suzuki gonna do? We got 6 matches right now. The card will almost certainly be 10 matches. That means we have 4 slots left. NEVER Title US Title IWGP Tag Six-Man Titles Gauntlet We can cross out the Tag Titles, him and Iizuka aren’t winning WTL. The NEVER Title isn’t happening. It’s either gonna be Goto vs. Ibushi or Ospreay vs. Ibushi. The US Title would make no sense. How could they shoehorn a feud with Cody? Holy shit, it looks like Minoru is going to the “get everyone on the card” gauntlet match.

TAKA Michinoku is being dismissed as Kaientai Dojo company director/board member and he won’t be paid from November 2018 to October 2019.

I thought we were definitely getting a ZSJ/MiSu team that could go all the way but what happens now? Could we really see Zack and Suzuki in the NEVER Gauntlet? That would suck. I really don’t see them slotting into any singles matches.

After seeing all the people clown him after the “locker room leader” story from Talk is Jericho, I feel like I’m in the extreme minority of fans who still like CM Punk. He’s a dick but he really was a great professional wrestler and I hope people don’t forget that. There already seems to be a lot of revisionist history with people saying “overrated” or “he never was that good”.

Wow, I completely forgot about the US Title and it seems NJPW did too lol. It has to be Cody vs. Juice, right? I can’t see anybody else slotting into the role and making sense.

They know that regardless of whether they show up or not, Gedo’s just gonna put them in the tag title match at the Dome anyway.

Kenny isn’t selling that leg work down the stretch and you know it. Something that I just realized is that the heavyweight tag match is probably gonna be a 3 way too. It’s gonna be GOD vs. WTL winners vs. The Bucks. Bucks aren’t missing that match especially with contract negotiations going on.

I imagine Tanahashi will limit Kenny’s dumb bullshit to a minimum. Anyway, the fact that the NEVER Title match wasn’t announced, suggests that Goto drops it before WK.

The following matches have been announced for WK13: Naito vs. Jericho (IC Title) Okada vs. White KUSHIDA vs. Ishimori (Jr. HW Title) Despy/Kanemaru vs. RPG3K vs. Shingo/BUSHI (Jr. Tag Titles) LMAO, Gedo really couldn’t help himself and he had to make the Junior Tag Titles a 3 way. LIJ has no case to be in that match. They lost to the champions and lost in the final.

Ibushi on Twitter actually rejected Goto’s challenge so that definitely changes things now.

So this was kinda buried early with an influx of posts, but anybody else notice that Naito has put on some pounds? That gut was really hanging out. Does he just not give a shit anymore?

It was very good but I definitely didn’t think it was awesome. It felt pretty by the numbers. Definitely not Tokyo Dome worthy.
