  1. Great easter egg that I totally missed from last night:
  2. I also like that they really emphasized that all of these people are better for having known and worked with each other. That was pretty much the perfect finale. The show was so tightly focused on Pawnee that it only makes sense to see what these characters could do in the wider world. My only real regret is that we don't see what Andy is doing besides being married to April and still being a goon. I did pretty well up until Garry's 100th birthday and then Ron canoeing. Things got really dusty in my house after that. One nice touch: the guy that asks them to repair the swing is played by Jon Daly, who was also the drunk that Leslie tries to get out of the slide in the pilot.
  3. Well, I think it's fair to say that if Roy's knees had held up, they probably wouldn't have been in a position to draft Lillard. The bigger what if for those Blazers teams is Oden. FWIW, the Lillard pick was the Nets' that they got in the Gerald Wallace trade, so they could theoretically still have gotten him. Blake/Roy/Durant/Aldridge/Anyone would have been a damn near unguardable lineup, and maybe with Durant in Roy doesn't have to do quite so much and his knees hold up a bit longer. Who knows?
  4. Yeah, it looks ridiculous in hindsight, but at the time it made sense. People kind of forget the buzz that Javale had around him, and the thought was that as soon as he got into a good organization with a good coach he could start channeling his ridiculous athleticism. And with Ujiri as the hotshot young GM and Karl as coach Denver seemed like the kind of place where he could really thrive, so overpaying a bit (I think consensus was that he'd get $7-8M/yr) seemed like a solid investment in the future. Then Ujiri left, Karl got canned, and Javale just kept doing Javale things. EDIT: I forgot that they traded for him before they signed him to the deal, but the point stands.
  5. Because, really, whose neck needs protecting more?
  6. "Ken Levine to conduct PAX panel on atheism in gaming" is both a thing that is actually happening and the worst collection of words ever.
  7. Can I file some kind of restraining order to keep Javale away from Embiid?
  8. I no longer have any idea who anyone plays for. I think Philly has traded their entire roster at this point.
  9. I really hate giving up Knight for the Bucks, but apparently they didn't want to pay him in the offseason. MCW/Ennis/Plumlee is a decent haul, I guess.
  10. Brandon Knight to Phoenix!? Holy shit, this deadline.
  11. The Jackson deal is a 3-teamer with Detroit and Utah. Kanter headed to OKC.
  12. Sounds like the Heat are getting both Tomax and Xamot.
  13. Whoa, Reggie Jackson to Detroit? What the fuck?
  14. I thought Flip and KG hated each other, is that not the case?
  15. Pacers are also in the mix for Reggie Jackson. Jackson and Perkins for Hibbert works, salary-wise. And Garnett for Thad Young just happened.
  16. Translation: He wants to make Anthony Bennett cry.
  17. George Karl loves Andre Miller like fat kids love cake.
  18. The first shoe drops: Afflalo to Portland for Barton, Claver, Robinson, a protected first rounder a second rounder.
  19. So, Neill Blomkamp is doing an Alien movie? I'm cautiously optimistic about that.
  20. Garry getting his real name back, being mayor, and finally retiring to spend time with his family is such a killer ending for his character.
  21. Coming in to this season I felt like the show had pretty much run its course, but the last 12 episodes have been so good that now I'm just mad that it's ending.
  22. Run all Night looks like hot garbage, but I do like the idea of Ed Harris and Liam Neeson growling threats at each other and glowering.
  23. Kevin Martin is likely to get bought out by the Wolves. I didn't, but probably should have, seen that coming. ...And Woj says no plans for Sanders to sign anywhere this season.
  24. I would say probably not this year, and I'd say it's an outside chance next year. I wouldn't be shocked if he ended up in Europe or Asia. Sanders is getting $13M of the $40M he's owed, stretched out to 2022, which is a heck of a deal for the Bucks.
