  1. Someone else. I was searching to see if there were any casting rumours for Manhattan, and I clicked the bait.
  2. You think that's something? Check the spoilers for the in-progress Raw taping.
  3. I'll be very interested in how many buys this does. If they can keep up this kind of enthusiasm four times a year, I'm very optimistic.
  4. You make a fine point. Although I'm not sure what straw-men you're arguing with. AFAIK, nobody was expecting weekly TV to consistently draw 10,000 and be comparable to shows that were built as destination events with conventions attached. But since you, as a longtime lurker, have such a great memory about which usernames were espousing which views and which usernames they were having conversations with, I'm sure you've got the receipts. Unless of course you're just Thibs. Prove you're not. Tell me all the things I was right about nine months ago!
  5. What if you do a show that's top-to-bottom Lights Out matches?
  6. Why are we engaging with this reactionary? Ratings declining and leveling out after a highly-promoted premiere is pretty standard, even on highly successful shows. TNT is happy with the results and they've exceeded expectations. If they want to clutch their pearls and collapse on a fainting couch, that's their business. As for ticket sales in the south, who knows. Maybe a lot of people are busy that time of the year. Maybe their support in the south is softer than they'd like it to be. Doesn't mean the sky is falling. People need to chill out. That's all you get out of me if you're going to be ranting about "workrate" (what year is it?), fat dudes and purple haired chicks. Enjoy.
  7. I think a lot of people are about to start believing them when they say there's not going to be a partnership with New Japan.
  8. So what's this I'm hearing about Kenny having a hard time getting into Japan?
  9. Chris Jericho on Inside the NBA? WWE counter-punches with John Cena on tonight's NFL halftime. Thursday Night Warz!
  10. Some good, long packages on here. I understand why they can't do these on TV, but these are better than anything they've done for Omega-Moxley and Bucks-PnP.
  11. Happened in both WW1 and WW2. Here's an example of one of the leaflets in the former: For clarification, the goal wasn't so much to get black soldiers to fight for Germany as it was to kill morale and encourage desertion.
  12. After all they've done to differentiate themselves from their competition, they wouldn't dare. This would be a huge mistake. Thoughts on Dynamite: PAC vs Trent? was good. Happy to see Trent? getting some shine in a singles match. The ref blew it multiple times in this one, not just the finish. He clearly turned and stared right at OC standing in the ring. Sort of undercuts his sense of urgency when it came to stopping Chuckie T. Really bad, distracting ref blunders. Minor league stuff that undermined a big league match. Cody's promo was good. Nothing to say that hasn't been said already. Him alluding to the match beyond was a great tease. Uno looks better wearing a shirt, but that's nothing we didn't know when he was wrestling without one. My criticisms of Private Party have already been covered by others. Those medals they got from the trophy store were bush league and completely unnecessary. I can see both arguments, but I'd have cut the house mics during the Jericho vignette. I know they wanted the laughs, but they also caught some garbage chants. The material in the package was strong. Riho is popular, which is nice. Hayter has potential. Kong can't get here soon enough. Shawn Spears vs Joe Janela.. Have they built this on Dynamite yet, or has it just been Twitter and Dark? Probably explains why this was on the show. The Moxley-Omega package was good, but clearly illustrates to me that this team has a lot of room for improvement. Good thing a camera was there to catch Mox escaping from the hospital. #PureSports I like Adam Page more every week. The SSP was on point. Liked Excalibur winking at TSN. Ending brawl was great. In addition to building the PPV, it got me excited about a potential Moxley/Omega vs Santana/Ortiz match. Crowd was good throughout. Overall, one of their better shows so far.
  13. Here's the whole segment. They also talked to Steph. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/mustafa-ali-wwe-wrestler-fighting-stereotypes-in-and-out-of-the-ring-2019-11-04/
  14. I've heard him tell that first story a few times. Definitely packs a punch.
  15. I assume the average age of people who watch CBS Evening News is lower than the demos WWE is attracting.
  16. I'm just jealous that his opinions carry more weight than mine. If things were different, we'd live in a better world littered with more big and tall wrestlers.
  17. Mike Johnson is saying WWE Backstage on FS1 did 49,000 viewers.
