When you meet the man who did the closed captioning, you salute that man. My mother was a court reporter, and on the side she did closed captioning for television shows. Mostly local news and the like, but even then it's a pretty difficult job. A lot of the times she would sit in a little studio and type along with the programming live as it airs, which is why sometimes you see errors in closed captioning. I could only IMAGINE captioning Dusty Rhodes, or really any live wrestling programming.

I could get behind Ambrose wrestling in his own shirt if it just gets grungier and more ripped every time he wrestles. Like WWE gave him a free sample of his own merchandise, and rather than replace it or, you know, wash it he just keeps wearing it. It's like when you see a hobo on a street corner wearing the same hoodie for 3 years straight, what was once ash grey has now turned a horrifying shade of dark beige. Even 4 years from now, after he's had about two dozen different T shirts on sale, Dean will still be wearing the same DEAN UNSTABLE AMBROSE from 2014.

That Dan Severn video got me thinking. What do you guys think of Severn's time in the WWF? I absolutely loved the guy at the time, and I felt like he wasn't booked enough like a legitimate shitkicker. Especially with Shamrock on the roster at the same time. Looking back on it now though, without the fanboy rage lens, I don't know that his work really holds up. Awesome theme, great presence, but for a legitimate amateur wrestling legend his ring work was kind of just flat.

I know Austin says he has 1 more run in him, but considering his health in 2003 and the fact that doctors told him to never wrestle again, can we be sure that he would be cleared? Granted he hasn't been in the ring in 10+ years but even then his neck is still fucked, his knees are still fucked, and he had major shoulder surgery 2 years ago.

Waltman has Hep C. He won't ever be cleared to wrestle in the WWE again. That said I think he'd be an awesome agent.

Taz beating Mike Awesome for the title was a weird one to me. He drops the belt to Dreamer a week later (but not before showing up on Smackdown and losing to HHH) why not just have Dreamer take it from Awesome? Was there a reason for that, other than having Taz do it being a big F you to WCW?
