  1. I think Titus could have a decent run. There was that pop when he and Roman Reigns stared each other down on that Low Carders vs. Shield match on Raw. I just hope they don't split the PTP, just have Darren Young cheering him on, maybe going for the US belt. O'Neil has some charisma to him and size, which will help. Can someone please tell Vince no one tunes in to see Great Khali? The big tall guy mystique to him is not really there anymore. Although a feud between the Punjabi Playboy and Tyson Kidd for Natalya's hand would of been funny for a five minute segment every now and then. The potential card for Wrestlemania seems really bland to me, have to see how it all goes down. Another Cena/Orton match, Ryback vs either Big Show or Goldberg, and Brock/Taker... I hope we get that HBK/Bryan match and Taker/Sting instead. I cannot fathom them asking $60-70 for the current card they seem headed towards. Goldust/Cody could be intriguing. I just wish the WWE Creative could craft one storyline that doesn't flicker out, but they dropped the ball with The Nexus, with Summer of Punk and this Authority angle is not really doing anything for me. I don't really hate it, I just don't find myself caring about the next show for it. I know it is hard to balance out the egos and churn out a good show every week but they always seem to miss chances to make moments. Sandow's mitb shenanigans with Cody could of been done better, it went nowhere.
  2. So Pacman Jones... does this mean we have to endure at least two more spots where he distracts the referee by making it rain? Or will they get clever on the second and have him make it hail to break up a pin? Why cannot some team in the NFL sue them to save TNA from their own stupidity?
  3. Some may find M:TG dorky or whatever, but nothing is worse than that one kid who liked Digimon and wrestling in elementary school. I will now show myself out the door.
  4. One more thought before I fall asleep, I loved Zack Ryder's tweet. Big Show is here! Oh and so am I. Sad he has to confirm to people he is in fact still employed.
  5. The one question I keep asking myself, The Authority figure story aside, why would you promote Langston/Axel on Main Event and have both lose on Raw? Axel is the IC champion, whether or not he is talented enough in anyone's opinion, why is the IC champion losing before his apparent big singles match? Ugh, this whole show felt like it was rewritten constantly. Is Vince ever coming back? I would think the build to Survivor Series is the right time if they are to. I am scared we may be getting WM30 with Cena/Orton, Brock/Taker and Ryback/Goldberg. Do something WWE please! Hey, the ratings for Raw dropped as the night wore on! Bryan & Punk must be the big stars, the ratings fell for the Show-Authority beatdown segment, Big Show must really suck. Can we either agree to adhere rigidly to studying the ratings or to ignore them?
  6. I was glad he was back, it annoyed me though that it seemed he was only there because of Total Divas and if he hadn't had his marriage filmed he'd have been wrestling Gabriel on Smackdown instead.
  7. Why is no one on here concerned for Paul Heyman's well-being? He is in Europe with the finest doctors and his IC champion goes on to lose to junky Dolph Ziggler, the man is hurting people. I could see Bryan still somehow win the Rumble and we get Orton vs. Cena vs. Bryan. But I cannot confidentially believe he'll win. The 6-Man, Orton/Langston and Punk/Harper were all fun. I think the whole authority angle would benefit if the last three months had been more condensed. Like after Night of Champions they should of done the Big Show knocks out everyone angle and crunched a month off. I concur with those who felt someone should of tried to help Show and get stopped, it was a dull ending. I am left hoping that the Wyatts are doing someone else's bidding and this all makes sense in hindsight. One more thing, Tyson Kidd is back and I had to rewind it when he came out because I could not quite remember who he was.
  8. It's a simple reason: It looks stupid. Kane used it when he came back with his metal mask set-up, and it damn near killed the psychotic monster vibe he was going for. I know it looks stupid but it is a simple big man move. At least, someone use an Iron Claw STO, that can be a nasty nearfall move if they do it right.
  9. Who brings in Joe Estevez to take out Sheen?
  10. I will one day look back upon these days and laugh heartily. Billy Corgan? Eric Bischoff? The NY Mets? Ah TNA, you never fail to amuse me for all the wrong reasons.
  11. Michael Elgin and Kevin Steen have also both basically thrust butted him in the face. Yeah, its PWG.
  12. The other day I thought, hey, no one uses the Iron Claw anymore. Why not? It is one of those moves that only work with wrestling logic as a killer hold but it looks cool. I guess because of the Von Erich association it would probably be disallowed though.
  13. If it weren't for most of the modern Hogan stuff he would be remembered much more fondly. I will admit that the 12 year old me loved the street fight he had with Vince, though that was more for evil Vince than anything else. The first Rock match aside, he has kind of tainted his legacy with his modern stuff. With the admittance of people who love old Sabu matches, I think everyone has that wrestler or era that they love and will always cherish. Even if it goes out of style, it doesn't diminish it.
  14. I feel like there are plenty of TNA-Mets jokes to be made but it feels almost pitiful to do so.
  15. But...but...he said it was legit! Ian Rotten wouldn't lie to us!
  16. I have always felt another problem is people still want to compare today's market to the one from the Attitude era and that is not attainable, at least right now. So when The Rock shows up and ratings slightly uptick, those people probably aren't going to stick around. Wrestlemania XXX we have an idea of who will be making up the card, even if we do not know for sure who'll be exactly facing who. Wrestlemania XXXI, who is headlining? What are the big matches we all will want to part with our money to see? I feel like beyond Cena/Taker there is no match that leaves me uncertain and curious. Maybe Punk/Austin if they could convince Austin. Speaking of money, $45 for regular, $55 for HD and then at Wrestlemania time it is $70. How do you lure anyone in? Jeez, make lesser cards like TLC, Hell in a Cell, Battleground, etc. cheaper and I don't feel like I am costing myself some fun nights out later in the month if the PPV ends up mediocre. Why would I want to pay $55 to see Night of Champions? Honestly, why? I didn't feel it was worth the expense to go live or to buy the PPV. If I want to see something really bad, I might buy a DVD, after the fact. It'd be real interesting to see if they pushed something like TLC real cheap and made a big stink about it, see if it pops the buy rate at all. Its the holiday season when everyone is spending money, why not lure some more people in with a cheaper PPV? Want to see Big Show go one on one with Triple H after all these months? Only $30 dollars! Plus Kofi Kingston will do something crazy stupid off a ladder and other fun stuff! Right now everything got diluted due to running three PPVs in seven weeks and it showed.
  17. So he'll be done next year I assume. I guess he'll do 1-2 matches next year and then venture off into whatever it is that Brock does.
  18. I'd prefer them recreating Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. Only if we get Miz through a woodchipper. Wow, that was a little mean.
  19. Yeah, I cannot see any good coming from Goldberg beating Ryback. Just pay him whatever to make Ryback look good. How long is Brock's contract for? It seems like he is not the big draw they hoped him to be. He's had good matches, but they don't seem to translate well to a larger audience. I am curious about this though: SummerSlam 2013: 296,000 SummerSlam 2012: 358,000 SummerSlam 2011: 296,000 SummerSlam 2010: 350,000 SummerSlam 2009: 369,000 SummerSlam 2008: 477,000 SummerSlam 2007: 537,000 SummerSlam 2006: 529,000 I still think it is partially because of poor booking. Bryan went from comedy tag team champ to #1 contender really quickly. Now it is all about Show/HHH/Orton.
  20. The thing about the Stunner/Diamond Cutter is anyone can do if from anywhere feasibly. So it gets overused.
  21. I'm also surprised no one uses the Perfect Plex or the Torture Rack. Both effective in looking awesome when done right. I could also see someone use Cattle Mutilation as a submission if Daniel Bryan won't use it. Why doesn't someone like a Ryback or Big E use a Exploder or Wrist Clutch Exploder?
  22. It doesn't help that there are a lot of replays on Raw. Even if you miss a segment they'll replay the highlights a couple times that night, on Main Event and on Smackdown. Kind of have to, if people keep tuning in and out. NFL only has a few more weeks of games with any purpose though. In two weeks its MIA @ TB. Only Lions fans like myself rooting for Tampa and the Jaguars to go 0-16 care about that game.
  23. The Rude Awakening. It always looks brutal, surprised someone like Sandow doesn't use it.
  24. After the years and years of screwing their fans, abusing their talent and dropping every single opportunity they have been handed, really anything as the new #2 promotion is better. I think a lot of people are just fed up with them. It is hard to get behind them, even if it is free wrestling for two hours a week.
  25. Maybe we are starting to see the WWE version of Cabin in the Woods with Wyatts trying to save the world.
